answer 1
I find this really gentle... too gentle. But I have pretty resilient skin. If you have sensitive skin, the pad would be better for you, I'm sure.

I have used both - the brush for years, and now the pad for a month or so. Prior to using this, my complaint was that the brushes would break quite easily, and if in a humid environment (I like to travel to warm places, some of which automatically turn off the air when you leave the room) would not dry out completely between uses. Initially, I thought the pad was very rough and harsh compared to the brush. Now that I've been using it more, i do agree it is better at exfoliation, and my skin is smoother afterwards. It doesn't feel as harsh now, so I think your skin does get used to it. Also, I've noticed a very minimal, but real, decrease in size of my pores. I bought this on a whim to get free shipping and glad I bought this. I have not used my brush since receiving this. If you're on the fence, I think $5 is worth a try.

The Pad! I've used both. The brush doesn't even come close.

I was wondering the same thing, but I ended up opting for the Precision Pore Cleansing Pad. And I love it!! It never makes my skin feel dry (even though I use it daily), and it's soft/ flexible enough that it's really gentle while still giving you an awesome clean. I haven't tried the brush, but the cleansing pad is definitely a worthwhile purchase!

I haven't tried the brush, but I have found this gentle enough for my sensitive skin; yet, still effective.

Having used both, I'm partial to the Cleansing Pad.It's gentle, easy to keep clean, and provides exfoliation and deep cleansing.
The complexion brush is nice, but I've noticed that it gets dirty pretty easily especially if you use the brush to remove your makeup. (The makeup builds up on the brush bristles which could cause you to break out more often..)
But, since there isn't a price difference in either, I'd say try them both out and see which one you end up liking the most. Both are good and will thoroughly cleanse your face but one's more prone to getting dirty than the other...

It's a personal choice. I don't like the complexion brushes at Sephora. I think they are too soft. The pad is soft but gives a little more scrubbing action. I would suggest you first use a makeup remover pad or makeup remover oil to just remove the makeup and then use the pad w/ your cleanser to wash your face. The pad nor the brush is designed to be a one shot all in one makeup remover and cleanser, it will be a two step process w/ either one

I like the cleansing pad. The brush has to long of bristles and is too rough of the face for me.

They both work well, but the pad is considerably more gentle than the brush. I found the brush scratched my face a little bit. So, both tools being effective, it depends on how sensitive your skin is and how vigourously you want to exfoliate.

I wear mineral makeup as well. Start with an exfoliating cleanser like Philosophy Micro Exfoliating Cleanser. Massage with your hands. Then use the pad with your normal cleanser. Face should be wet and only a small amount of cleanser will do.
