Use the Brazilian Peel weekly. For the most effective results, cleanse morning and evening with Smart Start cleanser, and use Quick Bright Booster Pads daily, between weekly peels.

To Use:
* Cleanse your face, neck and décolleté with Smart Start cleanser to remove impurities and prepare skin for the peel. Pat skin dry.
* Dispense the contents of one Brazilian Peel syringe into the palm of your hand and mix with two fingers until you feel a warming sensation.
* Apply a thin layer of product to face, starting at the top of the forehead, working down both sides of the face and nose. Apply to neck and décolleté with downward strokes. Avoid getting peel in eyes and nostrils.
* Wait 10 minutes. You may feel your skin tightening as the product works, and you may feel some tingling. If you feel discomfort at any time, rinse your face with cool water.
* Rinse with cool water until all of the peel is removed.
* Follow with moisturizer. Use a sunscreen.

Based on when I used to be able to afford Dr office peels you can use them both. I would have monthly peels and still use RetinA nightly. They did suggest to stop using the RetinA for a few days before if it irritated my skin. I must have thick skin because I never had a problem. Use your feelings as a guide. If you use the peel and find the redness anf flaky skin too much or too sensitive then stop with the night time apllication for a day or so before using the treatment.

This can be used with other exfoliaters, however, I reccomend that you only use your glycolic treament every other night. Using a glycolic acid product every night for a prolonged period of time will thin the skin. I have sold Murad in the past and it is great, but switch your regimen to every other night with the glycolic treatment, and make sure you are using a great moisturizer at night and an SPF during the day since the products you are using are constantly peeling your skin. Don't want to use all those great products and not use sunscreen : )

I have only used it once before so far, but did my own variation (I didn't use the instructions). I noticed clearer & brighter skin where I have no scars, but it didn't fade any acne scarring or anything like that yet. I feel like this is a great product for people who don't have a lot of scars on their face, but not for those of us wanting to get rid of marks unless you use it for a few months -> which could get very expensive.

I found one app of this product to be about the same results as some of the other glycolic/combo peels I have used in the past that I got a ton more uses out of (as in months of use) for around the same $ or a bit less. I don't recommend this product due to low to average results and extreme high cost. Save your $ and if you don't already have a Clarisonic for cleaning your skin - save for that and BUY IT! It will bring your face to totally new life noticeable the first time you use it and only get better through the years of use it will give you.

It is a weak peel, even though the packaging says it's 5x stronger than other peels. It also states to use it weekly to continue to maintain the results. A stronger peel wouldn't require to be reused that often to maintain the results.

It's a great product to learn how to use a peel properly, but not if you don't want to deal with the "upkeep"

If you cannot keep this up all the time, I would save your $. It's far too expensive to being with for what its results are. You would be far better to save a little more $ up and purchase (if you don't have already) a Clarisonic for cleansing your skin. You will be amazed at the texture of your skin even on first treatment and it will serve you for years. Your skin care products will go into your skin better, your pore size will decrease, your skin will look far better, feel great from use of the Clarisonic. Save your $. There are cheaper products for peels out there that give the same type or better results than this one does. It's in my opinion, over hyped along with the over price tag.

Question
Will it help with smoothing out acne scars?
I thought a strong peel was often used to give you "new skin" and take away a lot of deep acne scars? Would this product kind of do that?

This peel is way to weak to dramatically fade acne scars. You would want a Jessner peel or a TCA peel which is what I'm going to try next. I bought this peel to just get my feet wet with using a chemical peel.

Personally, I don't feel any OTC peel is going to help with acne scars (depending on how deep they are). Your better bet is to consult a dermatologist on what they recommend. I had a chemical peel first for my daughter, then another process with laser that helped her post acne scaring. This peel is not all that full of magic or level of ingredients to even help lighten my sun spots that are barely visible light freckles.

You should always wear a sunscreen anyway if you don't want to wrinkle and get sun spots when you get older. But yes, you should use a sunscreen to prolong the benefits of using a chemical peel otherwise those fine lines and blotchy skin you were trying to get rid of will return quicker.

One ALWAYS needs to be using an SPF every day, regardless of use of this or any other type of product. It's, next to good cleansing, your #1 best defense for good skin. There are a # of really great tinted daytime moisturizers out now that include an spf, which is what I have been using now for years as I hate to put on another cream that only does the spf job. I also look for spf in any foundation product I MIGHT use (liquid or mineral based). So yes...if you use this peel or anything at all period on your face, you do need an spf. This particular peel is not going to make your skin over all more sensitive to the needs of an spf vs any other day/time with non use recently of any type of over the counter peel. SPF is as important today as is your deodorant, combing your hair and brushing your teeth!
