I personally would use this type of product once a week. You may not need to use it but every two weeks. Just depends on your skin type. The instructions say to use it every week for 4 weeks to see results.

On the Brazilian peel website they explain that after 10 minutes the peel neutralizes itself. So you can leave it on longer, and it won't tear your skin up. I suggest you check it out, lots of good info.

Please don't leave this product on more than the time recommended on the box. More is not better. If it was, they'd tell you to keep in on for 3 hours. Follow the directions and you'll will get the benefits you seek. If you feel you want something more than 30% glycolid acid, see a board-certified dermatologist. They can do a 50% or higher peel for you. I'm a licensed esthician who used this product on myself and, yes, I followed the directions, and it worked great.

Has anyone tried using just half of the syringe and saving the rest for later?

You would get the same effect, but the product might get weak if you open it and don't seal it up. The company could best answer that question. Maybe you should contact their customer service for that.

Yes. I use half each time. There is a screw cap so you can save the remaining peel. Also half is more than enough for your entire face and neck.

If cost is an issue, you can purchase 30%, 35% & 40% glycolic acid separately. Just search online. You will need to purchase a neutralizer separately. You will need to mix it yourself and be responsible to research the proper use of product to avoid untoward effects on the skin. Purchased alone, I got a 35% solution under seventeen dollars w/ free shipping. 30mL or 1 oz, enough 15 treatments from am a zon. a neutralizer under ten dollars, so total under thirty dollars for fifteen treatments.

I have done that. The first time I used the whole syringe and had a lot of product left over because I didnt want to put on my decolletage (sp?). The next 3 times I used half (just re-capped it) and I still got very good results.

That depends on your skin type. If you have dry skin to start with, you might see a little peeling. If you have oily skin, you might not see anything at all. And, the peeling, if any, is not snake-like -- it would be just slight sloughing. Hope that helps.

Use this product, add a good sunscreen to your regimen and even out the tan with a quality bronzer. Your skin will thank you, and no one is the wiser. Test products in the Sephora store near you, as I did when I finally decided to remain a sun worshiper but save my face from certain ruin! Have fun with it because you're doing a good thing for y-o-u.

From my personal experience, peels will make your skin more sensitive and prone to discoloration when you are exposed to direct sun. I can wear SPF 50 and still get discoloration. So if I were you, I'd only try it in the Winter time, or be extremely careful not to cause damage to your skin.

Question
GLYCOLIC %
what is the glycolic % on this product?

answer 1
The 30% glycolic acid is VERY misleading. The syringe has two barrels, one containing the acid, the second containing the base, or neutralizer. When mixed, the peel becomes warm. This is actually the glycolic acid being neutralized. It is a fun product, but I have gotten better results with a 5% glycolic wash, which does not contain neutralizers.
answered 3 years, 10 months ago

answer 2
It must already be neutralized. Law regulates active glycolic up to 10% only for over the counter use. Anything above that is for Salon or Doctor use/app. So, there is absolutely no benefit to paying $78 for an non-effective glycolic acid (not enzyme) in the product. I have used up to 40% and it can be very dangerous if not monitored and timed based on each person's individual skin condition. You must be licensed to apply over 10%. And as far as self-neutralizing...How can an acid neutralize itself? I suggest researching this acid & having a professional strength application.

Question
Expiration Date
Is there any body has an idea where can I learn the Expiration Date for this product? I have bought many sets and I just realized it might be too many. I hope I can use them all before its expired. Thanks

I received a sample of this product with an expiration date stamped on the tube, but it turned out to be defective when I tried to use it 6 whole months before the expiration date (I'd had the sample for about a year). The opaque tube had clumped together (like the consistency of lotion when it gets dried out in the pump of a bottle), and the clumps could never fully mix into the clear liquid. I was tempted to try the peel anyway. However, this product has a concentration of glycolic acid that would never be allowed over the counter if it didn't come with a built in neutralizer, and I was terrified that I would damage my skin if the neutralizer wasn't properly mixed into the product.

Best of luck!

As long as u don't open all of them they r fine. What most girls r doing with them are using half and then placing a piece of tape on the tip to use for the next day. So this way u get 8 uses not 4 uses. Hope that this helps u. Good luck girly!! :)

Question
Is this product good for/ok for acne prone skin?
I've had mild to moderate acne my whole life and it is kind of up and down. (Mostly due to hormones). I'm looking to do some sort of resurfacing because not only do I suffer from acne scarring and red marks, but my skin tone is kind of bumpy (like little bumps, clogged pores), oily, and just plain ugly. I envy people with clear, smooth radiant skin and I wanted to know if this product will do that for me, especially if my acne is still sort of active?...thanks!

This product is great for acne. It will help heal what you have. I wouldn't use it if you have a recently popped pimple as the acid in the product will burn it. Wait until a scab forms and then use it.
