With very light application it looks quite natural. By very light I mean using what is leftover on your mitt or hands and not adding any new product.

I used this on my face and my forehead broke out I clear pustules. This was the only new product I heave introduced to my skin care routine. I have never had any breakouts on my face in all of my 37 years. Has this happened to anyone else.

I agree with the comment above about the 'dirty' look. The problem is, the face tends to have dry patches and different types of skin (i.e. cheeks and forehead) and it will really stick in those areas. I applied with a makeup sponge. They sell gradual self tanning face moisturizers, but that's a waste. Just mix a little of this, or any self tanner with your daily moisturizer in the palm of your hand and apply that way. It will look alot more natural and if your face still isnt dark enough the next day, just do it again. The mousse is very thin and therefore difficult to apply/absorb evenly on the face.

I used it on my face and I am super pale. I applied it sparingly to test it out, and it worked very well. Blend very fast though because it dries quickly. Speed is more important than applying it perfectly.

I went to the actual St Tropez sight for videos of application and artist recommendations. If you watch the video, it shows you that you can use it on your face but to use either a make up triangle or your hands. I, unfortunately, broke out from the product so be sure to take care of your skin after that.

I bought mine in the store, there was a whole stand of St. Tropez products. But A) I live in Miami and B) its summer. So, not all stores may be the same. I'd doubt you'd be able to find find it as easily say, in Chicago in the winter.

You can purchase in store, but it may not have additional products, like the application mitt.

I got it in the San Diego store. Might wanna check with yours first tho, the lady told me they didn't have it for a few summers. And it's pretty popular. I'd call ahead if you're not already close by.

I live in NC and the stores here do not stock it. The girl said that about 90% of customers asking for self tanners ask for this stuff; You would think they would carry it.

Try to keep it on for as long as possible! I apply mine after I shower in the morning (I don't find it streaky whatsoever so it's fine for daytime) and then I don't rinse it until I shower the next day (12+ hours). If I do this two days in a row I get a ton of questions/compliments about my tan. Be sure to moisturize after you've rinsed it off because that helps keep the colour. Applying it more than one day in a row will definitely deepen it.

After the first application I noticed a difference but two applications and I think I was good. Then I wait a few days and apply it again. Depending on what I have going on, is how often I put it on. During the week, I usually don't use it.

I've learned that how you apply is the key to the tan. If you rub hard or apply too much pressure during application it can ruin the tan. You dont want to rub it in deep to your skin. Just lightly smooth the mitt across your skin. Try that! :)

This is not a gradual building color tanner, so the color that comes out on your skin is the color you get. It won't get darker over time or more applications of it. I find if I want it to be darker, I apply before bed and then wake up and not shower it off. The only problem with doing that is if you get wet or sweat you will get streaks and can come off on your clothing. I find if I have it on and go swimming or spend a day in the water of anykind, the color is gone totally. I have to reapply about 3 times a week to maintain color, but it never gets darker.

I personally love the bronzer lotion. I apply a little bit of lotion to it and it glides on and looks beautiful the minute you apply it. For the first time last night, I applied it before bed and woke-up to take my shower, washing-off the first layer. I was left with a beauuuutiful layer of tan and can now layer more if I'd like. I love the lotion and would highly recommend it over the mousse!

I put it on in the morning and then wash it off at night so I don't have to worry about it getting on the sheets. I have put it on in the morning and slept in it and washed it off the next morning. I have a nice tan after the first application.

I have very very light skin too. I loved this at first. It didn't make me orange or anything! But once it started wearing off, it got really streaky, and you could def. tell the difference because I'm so light. So I put more on, and that made it worse. If you get this, just let it wear off before you put more on!!!!! Also, make sure you wear gloves. This stained my hands really badly, and make sure you get this on the top of your hands and feet, it will look really weird if you dont!

I wouldn't until you wash the product off your skin in the shower. Lotion often dilutes tanner. This is why it is often recommended to put lotion on your elbows and ankles before you begin tanning (so the color comes out lighter or hardly at all for a more natural look).

The first time I used this I used it without putting lotion on first...mistake! My skin felt very dry. The next time I used lotion first and then applied this and the results were great! Now I do it this way all of the time. If my skin feels dry at any point afterward I just make sure an hour has past and then I apply lotion. So far it hasn't interfeared with the color.

I used lotion the day after I applied it directly after my shower and it didn't affect my color at all.

I would wait to put lotion on as long as possible. Try putting on lotion before you go to bed and putting tanner on in the morning after showering. I find that it won't streak if u put lotion on right after u use it, but it washes right off when u shower the next time. You won't be building the color and you're going to be putting it on more often. It kind of just slides right off when its mixed with lotion.

I would wait at least four hours before applying lotion over the tanner. You could also try mixing a bit of lotion to the mousse when you first apply it. It won't dry as fast but it might help with the dryness.

I used it on my face and got a pimple. I'm not sure its the best for acne prone skin. I don't ever get acne and this gave me a little one...but then again I'm still using it so it depends on ur skin sensitivity

it didnt seem to bother me and i can have sensitive skin.after it absorbs,dries and after your first shower its just a color not like something bothering your pores so i think it would be safe!

yes it is definitly the same thing although Im not sure how she applied it and then put her makeup on right away. I personally dont think thats a good idea because you shouldnt get your face wet - I guess if you are using powder makeup its okay

I really don't believe this is the same product. St Tropez also makes bronzers (w/o the self-tanner) and I believe that is the product that Kandee refers to in her videos. The bronzer alone is WAYYYY cheaper, but if you like getting the self-tan, then this seems like one of the best ways to go!

No! It is dark brown which I love bc you can see where you are putting it. And it's not orange which is a plus!!!

The mousse has a tint to it so you can tell where you're applying it. Works like a charm! And if the tint looks streaky when it dries, its ok... TRUST ME... it won't look that way once you wash off the indicator.

The mousse has color. And you want that - that way you know exactly where you've put it on and where you need to go.
