Like any self-tanner, its more of a stain than a wash-away makeup. So although it wont just wash away, you wont actually see even a subtle tan until you've used the product several times anyway.

Does not come off in water. I use once or twice a week for maintenance. No orange color either!

Consider that it is just staining your skin. It comes off a little when you shave but very evenly. The lotion is not tinted so it doesn't come off on clothes or in the shower, that I can notice. I apply after an evening post-gym shower and let the color develop overnight.

Seems to be waterproof, lasts for at least three days. I've always reapplied it right after shaving legs.

It is NOT waterproof. It shaves right off.

You apply it after your shower, shaving etc and let it absorb before getting dressed. I used it for 5-6 days in a row to get the shade I wanted (not too dark, just natural looking) and now just every 3-4 days. The color has not faded and I shower every day. I use an exfoliator once a week and I use a natural sea sponge every day. I also swim in a pool. It DOES NOT come off. I think if I stopped using it it might fade though.

I would say only for fair to medium skintones. It becomes a sort of light caramel color. If you have a dark skin tone, try Cocoa Glow by Chocolate Sun. It's all natural/organic and comes in a very dark color (and it smells great).

The product may not make your skin tanner, but it will firm your skin, making it seem very smooth and radiant.
