Its a shimmery toffee color. Beautiful. Wished Sephora would carry this color so I can buy it individually.

Taupe with a hint of shimmer. Very flattering on my fair skin/blue eyes/blond hair and I'm sure very flattering on other skin tones as well!

The eye color is like a golden taupe with a hint of glits that makes the eye pop, yet is really simple. It's a great color if you're not into to much eye make-up as I am, so just apply it to you entire eye lid and get a nice bright color to high light the under of you eye brows and your set.

Sort of a rosy, pinky taupe. It's barely noticeable when applied with a dry brush -- didn't try the recommended wet brush "foiling" technique.

I would say that the color of this shadow is a golden taupe, a very neutral color with a touch of warmth.

Question
What is the brush like?
I'm a huge brush fiend. I have all kinds of brushes for more than I know how to use, but that doesn't stop me from buying them. What does the brush do? I see that it says buffing, but I have other BE brushes for buffing. How is this one different?

I don't know about any of the other BE eyeshadow brushes but this one seems like a basic brush for applying eyeshadow. If you already have BE brushes for applying eyeshadow, then I wouldn't bother. I like the brush though (but it's the only one I have from BE)--more so than any other brand that I have bought. The bristles are tight so you can load it up pretty good. My only complaint is that it's rather large--so it's not the best if you want to use more than one color and blend. I use it when I'm doing my makeup quickly and am only applying one shade quickly.

answer 2
The brush tapers to a point so that you can use this single brush as an all over brush for highlighting as well as use the tip for the crease. Its a full size brush of the same high quality as other BE brushes.

The brush is poofy, so it does not apply an intense color, but a softer one.

Well it's an eyeshadow brush, so it's just like other BE brushes, but it's smaller.

I use the brush primarily for applying shadow to lid. I have another brush for providing definition in the crease.

The brush (bristle part) is about 3/4 inch wide and a little over 1/2 inch long. It flares out and then tapers to an edge. I can cover most of my eyelid with one sweep and the tapered edge it good for getting into the eyelid crease. It seems to be well made.

answer 7
I used to work for Bare Escentuals and I literally have ALL the brushes. I almost didn't open this one because I figured I didn't need ANOTHER brush. But in my laziness of not washing my other dozens of brushes I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! This is my new favorite brush. It is so much softer than the other brushes -- you won't believe how soft it is and how good it feels on your eye. The shape is big enough to apply an all over base yet the rounded edge and tapering make it ideal for crease work too. I am very impressed. Lately I have been doing my full eye with just this brush -- something I don't do too often since I have so darn many brushes. I am going to buy another kit to get another brush (plus more mascara and primer). It is definitely worth it!

The brush is a great eye shadow brush. I use this one bruash to apply all my colors and to blend as well. All you need is this brush.

answer 9
The buffing eye brush is very similar to the full tapered shadow brush in the sense that it is somewhat flat, but this brush has a slightly pointed end which is great for getting shadow into the inner corners of the eye without making a huge mess.

No, it is not black at all. It is more of a natural brown color. So, it adds definition to your eyes without being intense.

The eyeliner is actually a brownish color. I think because the eyeshadow that comes with it is also brown/natural(?)

Question
watched tutorial that came with starter kit--workers at Penneys sephora store had no idea what I was talking about when asking about the eye products
i.e. angled brush, soft focus explore--any kits available with those products?? Seems funny they're included in the tutorial but unavailable?? Or did the clerks maybe just not know the product?
