I haven't broken out yet! I'm new to it too, but so far I love it. I grabbed a sample from the store just so I could see if I would react OK. I'm usually a die-hard ORIGINS fan since they have a pretty natural product line... but this was so tempted when the sales associate showed it to me. I find it light-weight and non-greasy.

I was also pretty worried about breaking out after using this product simply due to how oily it made me. my dry cheeks were GLOWING. but luckily i didn't :]. i would recommend you to try a sample first, but i have to say, only look into this product if you truely have dry skin.

I have been using this for a couple weeks and I have one breakout spot since I started using it, but I blame that one more on me than the product. So far it works for me just like their other tinted moisturizer line they had if you used that one.

I use Laura Mercier (spf20, nude). I like the Laura Mercier better than the Dior. Dior offers more coverage, but the color selection is not as broad. The Dior light shade was darker than LM nude. Both products felt about the same on my skin, and I can't say I disliked the Dior. It's just that the color wasn't right for me. I'd pick whatever product has the best color match for you. Price-wise, they're almost the same.

the laura mercier oil free tinted moisturizer felt a little greasy to me and i wasn't too thrilled about the smell, a lot of people really like the laura mercier one but i'll stick to dior's i really like it! not too greasy and it doesnt feel like a mask

not as many color choices as Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, but more sheer and makes my skin feel and look much better. As a pale gal with freckles, i obviously chose the 1st shade. i was surprised at how dark it was for the lightest shade offered, but it ended up working out nicely.

This is way thicker and more like a foundation then LM tinted moisturizer. It has a bit more coverage but not much. Out of the 5 or so tinted moisturizers I have tried LM is the best ever!!

Maybe try YSL's "Teint Resist" or "Teint Radiance" foundation with SPF? I think "Teint Resist" gives more of a matte finish.

I believe the Hydra Action line was discontinued and replaced with the Hydra Life product line (at slightly higher prices, to boot.) And much to my dismay, the new line has lower spf factors.

I am not familiar with the Hydraction at all. But, I recently received a sample of the Boscia Tinted Moisturizer and it has a lot of very good qualities. It goes on light, gives a matte finish, and gives good coverage for a tinted moisturizer. Also, the product feels light on the face but is definitely moisturizing. I don't know if you have a Sephora near you??? Perhaps, if you do, you could get some samples of other popular tinted moisturizers. The staff is usually very good at accessing your needs and making appropriate recommendations. The Boscia IS a very good tinted moisturizer. Give it a try with other TMs that have the qualities you are looking for. I know.....it's awful when a favorite beauty product get's discontinued or reworked. I hope you find a product that meets your needs - good luck!

I get that you may feel it goes on too greasy for you. I just take a quick dusting of powder and it works great for me. However, you may like Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I tried it and it's oil free but once the new version of hydra came out i went back.

This is a tinted moisturizer, coverage is sheer. Will make pores less noticable but will not cover bumps. Recommend oil free foundation and concealer if more coverage is needed.

Coverage is okay, it is a tined moisturizer so you can't have very high expectations for coverage. If you're looking for something to cover more, get a foundation instead.

Question
What happened to HydrAction tinted moisturizer?
Is HydraLife the replacement product line for HydrAction?
I get so many compliments for "pretty skin" (not "what a great foundation color!") and the Dior HydrAction Tinted Moisturizer, Color 1, is so kind to my skin (no irritation nor allergic rashes).

The idea that this wonderful product is no longer available brings about the edges of panic. I have had this tube of HydrAction tinted moisrurizer for 5 months and there's a little more than a half-tube left.

Could you find out if the HydraLife tinted moisturizer, Color 1, is the same color as the color 1 for HydrAction tinted moisturizer?

Thank you for your time!

HydrAction is, in my opinion, far superior to HydraLife. if you wore shade #1 in hydraction, then i am sorry, none of the shades in this new line will work for you. shade #1 in hydralife matches shade #2 in the older version. it's very sad.
but just to say, chances are, if you liked the formulation of hydraction, this hydralife may not be for you anyways. i would only recommend it to people with dry/ very dry skin. it is VERY moisturizing and will leave you with an extremely shiny look.

The Hydralife Tinted moisturizer has replaced Hydraction, but no need to worry. The formula feels even better and the colors are golden and blend in effortlessly. If you used #1, you will also use #1 in Hydralife, yet the color is a little more golden. Hydralife is just as great as Hydraction, but it is now a super Hydrating formula that also postpones first signs of aging with antioxidant and plumping/smoothing benefits. Enjoy!

The colors are not the same, but the product still feels wonderful on my skin and keeps me hydrated all day. I suffer from very dry skin from medicine, and this is the first product which never cakes off or fades (Hydra Life included in that comment). I love it, but the color is definitely darker. My consultant did believe they were no longer making the other Hydra product, but thought possibly they were adding the Hydra Life line and maybe were out of the other one. Hope that helps.

this moisturizer is much more moisturizing than the previous one. in fact, those with combo or oily skin shouldn't even use this newer version. i have combo skin and i looked so greasy right after applying it. also, hours after i had applied it, my hair was still sticking to my face. i needed to powder a few times to dim the glow a bit.
the color range has also turned for the worst. if you had shade #2 in the previous moisturizer, you'd be shade #1 now. meaning it's not suitable for the fair skinned ladies.

AMEN! I also have very fair skin and the 1st TM (HydrAction) color 1 is a great match. People working closely so that they could really see my face (e.g. nurses during IV prep for procedures, hairdresser) often tell me what pretty skin I have, not what shade of foundation I'm using!

CD please add the very fair shade of HydrAction #1 to HydraLife!
