The sheer coral is orangey...if you have an olive skin tone it will probably look great...if not, it's not really a winter colours, so I'd go with something more berry.

I can tell you about the Mango crush (sheer coral) because that is the one I got and I really like it....is not to orange is more like a pale salmon color?!...is very light... it looks really good on I love it...I just discovered Stila and will keep buying it.

The sheer coral isn't super orange. It's a light color and just a bit orangey. The sheer berry red is just a shade or two (depending on how much you use) darker than your natural lip color. This one is my favorite-- it's very natural and fresh looking.

The Cherry Crush comes off as really neutral - it looks like the natural colour of your lips. It can be layered to come off as a strong red if you like, but with one soft swipe, it looks very sheer.

The coral looks very orange in the store, and scared me away from buying it. The Berry is a neutral, a pure candy apple red when layered, beautiful sheer red with one or two coats.

I tried the Cherry Crush color and it is not sheer, it is a vibrant red. I loved the color, but it settles into the inside of your lips, so I don't recommend this product.

Yes the orange is orange-y! Avoid if you have super pale skin. Perhaps ladies with darker coloring would make out better. The only "sheer" color for my lips was Raspberry. (I have pale skin and green eyes.)

I think most users here are using it solely for the lips, which maybe explains some posters' confusion. Remember there are always a lot of variable reasons for breakouts, but if you start using it only on your lips and clear up, then just keep it off the cheeks. I have really sensitive skin and I typically don't even try stuff on my face unless it's specifically for it.

I haven't had an issue with breakouts, and I have fairly sensitive skin. However, for reference, I have an oily T-zone with somewhat dry cheeks. When I use this as a cheek stain, it tends to go on the dry part of my face. Since the gel is pretty hydrating, unlike other stains which can be drying, it actually moisturizes a bit. So no, I've never had a problem with my skin type and this stain. Also never had any problems around the mouth. Hope this helps!

I haven't had any breakouts but I also haven't used it as a cheek stain. It does tingle a bit when applied, so I could see where someone with really sensitive skin could have a reaction to it.

It was okay for me. I just don't like it because its not bright on my lips.

I've never broken out from this, and my son's girlfriend who gave me a gift of a new shade, says she's never had a problem either. For whatever it's worth, she uses the deeper/brighter shades, and I prefer the ones that react with lighter color like Yumberry.

I use the pomegranate. It's rich without being too red. It's also sheer enough that it looks very natural. (I am also over 50.)

then i would stay away from the raspberry and acai, both are VERY dark/bright, which is great if you're into that. I find they are some of the brightest and longest-lasting lip stains, although the applicator is terribly (spurts out unevenly).

I'd definitely suggest the yumberry crush, i have brown hair and fair skin and i think its a perfect pair. If you worried about the color being to bold, only apply 1 or 2 even coats of the stain, and that should be a good amount. But i prefer lipstains over lipgloss and lipsticks, cause you only apply once and your good for the whole day, so there great if you want a look thats not a lot of hassle but has awesome results.

I don't think this product is that great, you could find a better lip or cheek stain at a better value than this, there is hardly any product. Try the tarte cheek stain, those are great and give a dewy, fresh look.

I would NEVER have tried Mango Crush, except that a friend suggested it to me. I LOVE it - especially with a nude or slightly gold-ish gloss on top. I also have the Cherry, which is very pretty. I wanted Pomegranate but the store was sold out the day I was there - I think that would work very well on you. Don't be scared off - when applied, the colors can be subtle and aren't too "out there" at all!

I also have light brown hair, fair skin and green eyes. I really like the Mango Crush shade. It's colorful, but not too bright, and it has a little shimmer which can make lips look plumper. Give it a try!

Some of the other shades, like the Raspberry or Cherry, are much brighter/deeper and better suited for brunettes.

I just purchased this in the Pomegranate Crush, which is a berry shade. I love it! You control how pigmented you want the stain to be by applying additional layers. One layer is nice and berry-kissed! Hope this helps :)

Do you mean from the bottle? You just twist the bottom. When you first buy it, you need to twist for a while to get started. But be careful, because once it gets started it comes out fast. A little goes a long way.

The bottom twists, sort of like deodorant, and fills the brush which you then use to swipe across your lips.

I have found that it does not come off if I use a gloss or a balm over it. I also make sure that before I use it, I exfoliate my lips well so that it takes pretty evenly. If any of it comes off when you use balm, its either a residue that didn't stain yet, or just little bits of your lip that are loose.

Except for the Mango Crush they really don't come off when you put a balm or gloss on over them. Just give it a moment to dry and you're good for hours. I have noticed that if the side of the chapstick container drags against it some will come off on it but you really can't tell when you look at your lips. Just apply with caution and you'll be good. Also, it won't come off from kissing, eating, or drinking. I'm sure if you rub your lips a lot it will fade more quickly but that's it.

I wear mine with gloss over it (Stila gloss, in fact) and it's perfect! You can also wear chapstick under it. I would definitely suggest it for a wedding day, too -- it does last a long time, and won't rub off on your champagne glass!

I would recommend Lorac lip stain. I've used it for years and it really lasts. I put it on dry lips and then cover it with lip balm. Once it's on it lasts quite a while. Make sure to practice with it first!

Try out the lip stain before you wear it for your wedding to be super sure, but I think you shouldn't have any problems. I put on the lip stain (in pomegranate) and let it dry for 30sec-1 minute before closing my mouth/licking my lips. You could apply more coats, waiting for it to dry each time but I usually use one (two for maximum impact). I then top it with a balm. I go on the rest of my day with no reapplications. I eat, drink, and kiss without it coming off. I have eaten dinner and afterwards, my glass still looks clean (no lipstick stain at all). Have a happy wedding. Congratulations!

you should only have to give it 1-2 sharp twists and the product will come from the tip. May take more like 5-8 the first time. Be patient or else you may waste it.

Twist the bottom for 4 to 5 times and wait for it to come out to the brush. I usually do have a problem with twist too many times (cause I don't have the patience), but then I'll use a lip brush to remove excess and apply it with the lip brush, so that nothing is wasted.

It applies very well (it has a brush applicator, which is awesome). It's buildable and blendable on your cheeks. Since it's a stain, there isn't any shine once it dries, but wearing a lip gloss over it is definitely an option. This is as far as as you can get from "easy application". You have to twist the bottom a million times before the tint comes out --after like ten minutes. Then, you either have too much or too little. The colors are nice, but they are not shiny. The one I've got --cherry-- is like a very soft red; like you just drank some cool-aid. The effect is pretty, but it does dry my lips a lot and is not long-lasting. Most importantly, it is not worth dealing with that applicator. Good luck to you if you do get it though! :)

This applies very easily, and evenly with the built in brush. It goes on glossy, but will dry matte with a thin coat. If you put on a thick coat, it will be glossy for a while, but I've found that it starts to flake on me after an hour or so.

I have the "pomegranate crush," and the color is matte, as I understand are the other colors. You can add gloss later for shine. As far as ease of application, yes. However, I would suggest using a mirror when applying as opposed to applying while driving or something of that nature--unless you happen to be extraordinarily talented. Just give it a couple of clicks and apply. Additionally, allow the stain to set on the lips a minute or two until it dries before licking, applying a gloss, or a second coat. This will ensure that the stain lasts longer.

It applies pretty easily once you click the bottom enough times to get the gloss going. It is a little shiny at first, but you might want to add a gloss over it, as the shine doesn't really last.

Mango Crush and Yumberry Crush both have a bit of shimmer (a very little bit). The others are matte.

And I think it applies really easily. It has the same applicator as the lip glaze--like a paintbrush at the tip.

Depends on what you are looking for - Coconut is my favorite, it is super natural with a pinkie pearlized finish.

check out the natural colors during the summer, golds and blue hues, Sephora makes a like of liquid eyeliners that are awesome. also Kat Von D has a bronzing powder that will give your face a sun kissed highlighted look. it's not half bad as an eyeshadow either!
try greens and reds for the fall, don't freak, that's what the make-up techs are for in store, they're great. Tarte has got some nice reds, plums and greens. Also Stila, very easy gliding on, simple and elegant. oh and don't forget to check out the Make up Forever line. they have an eyeliner that's l think is an Aqua liner, waterproof, and it glides like butter, nice!

Pomegranate or cherry. Pomegranate looks very dark in the tube but on the lips, it's a nice berry tone that won't look too bright against fair skin.

I have similar coloring and would pick Yumberry or the the new Coconut Crush.

Definitely the lightest color available, as they are all true to color and super bright!

These stains don't blend well on cheeks when used sparingly, which fair skinned gals need to do in order not to look like a clown. The stain dries too quickly and I end up with bright spots right on the apples of my cheeks and it looks loud and unnatural. Cherry crush is the best red lip shade I've worn, however it's dry and doesn't have much stay power. The pinks are also nice on lips if you don't mind reapplying. Anything darker than cherry crush is just too dark for my fair coloring.

I'd definitely try the Coconut Crush! It's a great neutral for the days when you don't want big dramatic lips and it gives you the opportunity to really punch up the eye color as well!

I would suggest yumberry it's Sephora's best selling color I was told. It's a light pink thats buildable. Hope this helps.

I liked the pomegranite stain...i am fair with blonde hair and green eyes...isn't as dark as it appears once applied. but......didn't last long, kinda messy.

I'd say yumberry crush since it's a light pink color and it has faint shimmer. Either that or mango crush (it really looks more pinky coral than orange. Trust me, I have it.)

Depends on which one you buy. They pretty much smell like the name. The coconut one - it purely coconut and smells delish!

I bought Coconut Crush and it does indeed smell like coconut, but not too strong, and there is no flavor.
