Questions & Answers for Sultra The Sophisticate Power Dryer

Question
Does it work well on fine hair?
I have baby fine hair and while high heat helps control frizz, I have to be careful, because it breaks easily.

With all the different settings, I'm sure you can find one that's right for your hair. And if not, Sephora has a great return policy. With this dryer, you can control the heat and the speed with different buttons (independently of each other).

I also have baby fine hair and yes the Sophisticate Power Dryer is fast and dries on a lower heat setting ... Best invention ever ... I am also an older lady with fine hair.

I, too, have fine and highlighted hair. YOU control the temp (keep it no hotter than medium), but keep the air flow high.

You will love it.

It has three settings--fine, medium and thick hair so hair texture was taken into consideration, yes

I have fine hair also, and this dryer works well on it. Since it doesn't get as hot as other hair dryers, it dries the hair without "drying it out". I'm very pleased with it from this perspective. It has 3 different heat setting and two speeds. On the fine hair setting, it is really quite gentle. I usually use it on the medium setting and this works fine for me.

I also have baby fine hair with long extentions and the last blow dryer that I had fried my hair.It takes a while longer to dry with this dryer but I'm seeing the results. I'm old enough to know what's working for my hair and this dryer is saving my hair. I still make sure that I have a conditioning product in my hair before I blow dry as it really helps with the after results

I found this hairdryer to be of no help to my fine, sensitized hair. It does nothing for frizziness, body, gloss or condition of the hair.

Absolutely. My hair is super fine and nothing has worked better. It is soft and fluffy after using this dryer.

I was disappointed at how heavy it is. I have medium hair past my shoulders (not thick, but not fine or thing). My arm got really tired pretty quickly. The CHI turbo dryer I had before was significantly lighter and quieter.

I actually think its 2 lbs (3 max). Its really no more than any average dryer. I personally dislike the extreme light weight of the T3 dryer. Many people are complaining that its heavy, but I really don't agree. I think they are comparing to how little the T3 weighs.

I'd say it weighs about a pound. I found it very easy to manage, weight-wise. And, I'm rather a shrimpy weakling.

the T3 does not have the power/control of power (air flow and temp) that this does

it is a bit heavier, but more comfortable to use -- I have my new T3 now in storage

I personally have never used the T3 but I did alot of research before I bought this and all the reviews about T3 were negative. The only positive was that it was light weight. But I heard scary stories about the T3 sparking and blowing up (not literally). The Sultra was highly recommended and thus far I've been very pleased.

I bought the sophisticate mostly out of curiosity and I wanted to leave my t3 in my gym bag so needed a home dryer. VERY different dryers. I think I prefer the T3. I have lots of fine hair if that makes sense. T3 is much lighter in weight and dries faster. The Sophisticate is VERY heavy. Buttons are awkward and you end up switching settings while drying without meaning to. It also does not really get hot. I find this a problem In the morning I sometimes freshen up my hair with a brush and hot dryer. Cannot do this with sophisticate...it is for drying. It has powerful blow. I got a great deal on mine so will keep but would not buy again. T3 featherweight so much better. I also bougth the sophisticate travel dryer because I leave a bag for florida pretty much packed. It was a total waste of money. Big clunky and poor dry quality.

I can't answer that question, but I can tell you I bought the Sultra and returned it. I probably wouldn't buy the T3 because it looks too similar to the Sultra, and many of the issues I had with the Sultra were design-related. I purchased a Sedu Revolution i4000 which I like much better than the Sophisticate. I would have definitely taken advantage of a wider selection of dryers on Sephora.com.

The T-3, which I have, does not dry as fast. Plus, the Sophisticate has 3 settings in case you want to go really curly:)
