Dark spots should not return after discontinued use. However, it is VERY important to stay out of the sun and use sunblock daily. As with any skin on any area of your body, your skin will get darker when you stay out in the sun. So naturally your spots will get darker if you expose them to sun. Technically, even while you are using the product, if skin is unprotected, the spots will not fade, no matter how much product of any brand that you use.

I can't speak to this specific product as I haven't tried it yet. But, usually any type of fading product for spots takes a commitment. You will need to continue using the product that works for you or the spots could return. However, one thing you can do is to decrease the amount or frequency of use after you have achieved the desired results. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Once the dark spots are gone they are gone. Be patient as it took me 2 large bottles to get rid of mine. Then stay out of the sun.

answer 2
When used in conjunction with a daily sunscreen, the results from the Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector are permanent.

However, if you achieve the result you are looking for and go out in the sun without sun protection, the hyperpigmentation could come back.

birth marks are Gods little gift to us. :) Enjoy it. If you dont like it....then get it surgically removed or use the laser treatment. This product wont lighten it.
Besides if your trying to lighten it, you might as well just get rid of it all together. I say keep it. It makes you Unique. :)

I have one on the side of my leg....so does my dad...his is a tad bigger...but I dont want to get rid of it

yes, I specifically asked clinique and they said it's non-acnedogenic (they say they don't use the word "non-comedogenic" because it's associated with animal testing and they don't test on animals)
