Question
What is the main difference between clinique's even better clinical dark spot corrector and clinique's even better skin corrector?
I am looking for something that will help erase stubborn acne scarring and the dark spots left behind. I have tried the original even better skin corrector but if the new formula is stronger, then maybe that would be better for me?

If you have acne scars and dark spots please try Dark Spot Corrector. It works but it took me 2 large bottles to get rid of them. Be patient as once there gone your done and your face is beautiful.

I personally don't think you will find much difference unfortunately. I have only made it to week 4 and the only spot it has helped is a sun damaged caused circle on my nose but all my other dark spots and acne spots seem unaffected. I will try it for the entire 12 weeks to see if this gets better.

Short version: Help Me is a classic retinol treatment that is mostly helpful for fine lines, a bit helpful for skin tone, and should be used all over your face as part of your night beauty regimen. Even Better only helps with dark spots and is intended to be a spot treatment during both your morning and night beauty routine.

Long version: "Help Me" by Philosophy is a night treatment that contains mostly retinol. It's good for a lot of things but is mostly good for fine lines. In contrast, "Even Better" should be used twice a day (not just at night) and is designed to help with dark spots caused by acne scars and sun damage, but will do nothing for your fine lines. (If you have them.) The primary ingredient in Even Better is CL-302 complex, which is for skin brightening. The good news is that, depending on how senistive your skin is, you can use them both. First apply Even Better as a spot treatment for your dark spots. Let it seep in for a couple of minutes and then, if necessary, use Philosophy Help Me over your face, neck, etc. as part of your night routine.

Question
how to apply the dark spot corrector?
I've just got the Dark Spot Corrector and it's unclear from the instructions whether I should apply it directly to brown spots or go all over my face? I also got the Even Better Moustirizer Skin Tone SPF 20. Would it be ok to apply it in the morning after the Dark Spot Corrector? Thank you for your time and your help!

I have acne scars on my cheeks and I apply this product evenly every night and every morning after cleansing and before applying moisturizer. Don't forget to let the moisturizer soak in before you apply this stuff!

Instead of using it all over the face could you just use it for the acne scars? Also, is there a cheaper product that works?

This is exactly how I use it - only on the dark spot, not all over. A q-tip makes spot treatment really easy.

I don't see why not. This stuff is gentle and the skin on your back isn't as sensitive as the skin on your face. If I had someone to put it on my back for me I would. I have a few acne scars on my back. If the scars on your back are dark it might take the full 4 weeks to see a difference so don't be disspointed if you don't see a difference in a week.

I have used it on my hands and I wish I could afford to use it all over my limbs to lighten brown sun damage....ahhh the sins of youth. On the other hand I have used this product on my upper chest and currently trying it to lighten a mole removal scar on my midsection...(so far so good...the redness is lightening) I hope you get the results you desire.
