Call Clinique at 1-800-419-4041 if you want to be sure. Personally, I would not use it during pregnancy. I would rather see a dermatologist for a non-chemical intervention like light therapy, just to be on the safe side. Even though it contains a very small amount of hydroquinone, this ingredient has apparently been associated with problems in pregnant animals during testing such as stillbirths, low birth weights and deformities. But you can contact Clinique to be certain!

Question
Dark skin tones
I know this product says it's for all skin tones. I'm a dark-skin African sista and I was curious whether I could use this product on my whole face because I have areas of uneven pigmentation due to acne scars, spots from wearing eyeglasses on my nose, dark circles, areas that have been uneven since I was in middle school. I appreciate your help. Thanks!

Yes you can. I am African America too. My chocolate chip spots are virtually looking like peanut butter morsels on my cappuccino complected skin. I love this product. Now they have lightened up so much I can use concealer that actually works.

I'm African-American also. I have been using this, and so far the results are good. My dark spots are getting lighter. My skin is smoother and softer. My pores aren't clogged anymore.

Once the dark spots are gone they are gone. Be patient as it took me 2 large bottles to get rid of mine. Then stay out of the sun.

answer 2
When used in conjunction with a daily sunscreen, the results from the Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector are permanent.

However, if you achieve the result you are looking for and go out in the sun without sun protection, the hyperpigmentation could come back.

For best results we suggest either using the Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector first on clean skin (prior to your acne/ wrinkle serum). Let the Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector sink in for 1-2 minutes before applying any other products.

If your acne/ wrinkle serum needs to be applied first to be effective, we would suggest using this item in the evening and the Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector in the daytime.

Question
Difference Between 'Clinical Dark Spot Corrector' and "Even Better Skin Tone corrector' (Clinique)
I have very oily acne prone skin that is very light. I would like a product that evens my skin tone, but I am unsure which of the two products (i mentioned in the title) would work best...what is the difference between the two? Does one work better than the other? Is there a difference between dark spots and overall uneven skin tone?

I had the same question when I wanted to try a Clinique corrector. I was told by the salesperson that Skin Tone Corrector does what you describe: evens skin tone. This product is intended specifically for dark spots.

Clinique Clinical Dark Spot Corrector is their newest and most advanced treatment for hyperpigmentation. Their Even Better Skin Tone Corrector is also an excellent product, but we would suggest their new Clinical Dark Spot Corrector as a more advanced brightening treatment for all skin types.

Both products are designed for hyperpigmentation which would include individual dark spots, acne scars and larger areas of discoloration and uneven skintone.

You should be able to use it. I use hydroquinone 4% which is a skin lightener. You should the Even Better product right along with your meds.
order: clean face, apply medical creams, apply even better, sun screen, moisturizer, and make up.

I think you would be ok. In the morning I use (in order) sun screen, clean and clear acne blemish, clinique Even Better, clinique moisturizer, then my make up. At night I use clinique Even Better, clean and clear acne blemish, hydroquinone 4% which is by prescription only its a skin lightener, and clinique moisturizer.

I have been using the product as follows and have gotten great results:

1. After I wash my face (I usually use Philosophy face wash or Ole Henrickson red tea face wash), I put the spot corrector on first. I have been putting a thin layer all over my face, not just on dark spots.

2. I follow with an antioxidant mist, such as Eco Bella spray on toner.

3. I add a moisturizer. If day time, I use an SPF moisturizer. If night time, I use my usual night cream.

4. I apply an eye cream morning and night.

5. I use a clarifying masque (either Fresh Umbrian Clay or fresh Black Tea) every few days.

Works great! Just make sure you use an SPF moisturizer of make-up during the day. I'm a scientist who studies aging, and I personally tend to think that the more you change up your skin regimen, the better, so don't be afraid to vary brands that you use while you're using the spot corrector.
