It does last you all day, but the scent is not too overpowering. I could even smell the Eau de Toilette moisturizer on my skin after 7 hours of applying it.

So far for me, it has lasted 8-10 hours on an average day. A faint smell of it may linger after the 8-10 hour wear, usually when you have a gust of wind blow by or swish your hair, you can get a quick whiff of it. Kind of enchanting...

The EDP lasta 6-8 hours and the EDT last 2-4. The EDP is ore expensive but worth the money. remember- If you can smell your own perfume an hour after youve sprayed it, youve used too much. Others can smell it on you when you cant so go easy!

In my personal experience, this is one of the longest lasting perfumes I've tried--and unlike other perfumes I can smell if on myself (a good thing.) But if you're really worried--for $20 you can puchase the roller ball--the same scent and perfect for your purse--though I haven't had to pull it out yet!

EDP is always gunna be stronger- thats kinda the rule of thumb with fragrances. EDP's are oil based scents where EDT's and water based. As a result, EDP's are stronger cause your getting the oil into your pores.A lot of people make the mistake of spraying perfume on their clothing....wrists and behind the eas are always the best places. EDP's activate when your body warms these pressure points.

The Parfum version has one or two more ingredients than the toilette. I'm not exactly sure what the difference is but it's listed on the sites. The Parfum one smells better, in my opinion, and lasts longer.

Eau de toilette is a lighter mixture of the fragrance (diluted) and lasts for about 1-2 or 3 hours while eau de parfum spray is the stronger one and can lasts more than 8 hours! But, this one tends to be more expensive, although I think it's more worth your money!

If you read the description of the EDT, it describes it as being different from the EDP, saying something about mandarine, etc. Go back and read the page about EDT and you will see.

It is the same scent supposedly, HOWEVER, the EDP lasts longer and because the oils are more concentrated, to me, it actually smells different from the EDT. I don't know if it actually contains different ingredients or if something in the diluting process changes the scent, but I like the EDP better for the longer lasting scent and the smell overall.

This is a new fragrance. The original Chloe was in an orange box and came out in the '70s when Karl Lagerfeld was a designer at the fashion house at that time. The original Chloe was discontinued in 2007. The new Chloe was released in early 2008. Hope you found this info useful.

No unfortunately it's not. The Chloé brand reformulated its namesake fragrance in 2008, I'm assuming to attract a younger audience. The lastest Chloé is a floral based scent. It's not bad. If you're interested in it, Sephora is currently offering a deluxe sample of the perfume with any purchase (while supplies last). Otherwise, if you look around hard enough at discount fragrance stores/sites you will be able to find the original Chloé.

The parfum spray is more of a concentrated perfume that last longer than the toilette. The toilette is meant as more of a mist that you spray for a lighter scent. Almost like a body spray, so it is not as concentrated as the parfum. I would get the parfum to get my money's worth if I like the scent. For those that are a bit heavier on the scent, I would get the toilette since it won't be as overpowering. Parfum: 1-3 spritz. Toilette: 3-5 spritz (depending on what you like). Do go to the store and smell both and decide what is best for you. Happy scent shopping!

The girl at the store told me the "perfume" is oil based so it lasts longer and the "toilette" is a less concentrated version so it doesn't last as long... something like that. She said the perfume one is better so that's the one I got and it really does last a long time.

Eau de parfum is just a more concentrated version of the scent. So, they are generally more expensive because they last longer and have stronger notes. But that doesn't mean the eau de toilette version is not worth trying out. Some people actually prefer eau de toilette because it's not as strong and overpowering.

Eau de Toilette has higher alcohol content and is weaker, i.e does not last as long. Eau de Parfum has less alcohol and is longer lasting. Dependent on your skin would be the determining factor. Eau de Toilette will last very well if you have normal or oily skin. Myself, having dry skin, I use Eau de Parfum since it lasts longer. There is also the price difference between the two. Toilette is a bit cheaper and you can also layer it with the corresponding body lotion or a fragrance free lotion if you don't want to go with the Eau de Parfum. It just might work well for you. I hope this helps in your decision. :)

Eau de Parfum consists of 10-20% (typical ~15%) aromatic compounds. An eau de parfum is therefore stronger and should last longer than an eau de toilette.

This is not at all like the original Chloe scent. This is lighter and more complex. You may want to smell it, you might like it more. You might be able to find the original Chloe at clearance stores like TJ Maxx and online. Scents do expire, you might not be pleased with what you find. Good luck!

Sadly discontinued. It was reformulated and came out with the new Chloé in 2008. I don't understand why the Chloé brand couldn't have kept the original and renamed the latest namesake something else. Like the previous post mentioned, you still can find the original version on online perfume shops as well discount stores (I found the original at a Kohl's or TJMax a while back).

The EDT version is available at many online sites, like perfume.com. Type "Chloe original frangrance" into google shopping for a list of where it's available for the best price.

Is this the same as the ORIGINAL Chloe that came out years ago?

I worked at Nordstrom in the late 80's- early 90's and LOVED Chloe then. I wore it everyday and my family would give me sets of lotions, creams, sprays, purse size, etc. for every holiday - I loved it so much! Then it disappeared! Now that I see Chloe "revamped" brought back I was hoping that ONE of the versions would be the ORIGINAL Chloe I loved so much. It wasn't powdery but it did have the peony, lily of the valley, magnolia, rose etc. Some of these new versions say they have a powdery scent, which generally is too sweet, strong and overbearing and overwhelms the lovely flower scents. Does anyone know if ANY of these are the ORIGINAL formula Chloe?
