Questions & Answers for Clarins Bright Plus HP Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion SPF 20 Oil-Free

Question
How well does this hydrate during the winter?
I'm talking east coast winters when it's 30-45 degrees during the day. Thanks.

It's good, though in certain areas (around my mouth, on cheeks where skin is drier) I may at times have to apply a second time about 5 minutes after first application. I'm in Boston where it's cold and windy, and I really like this all day.

I have combination skin which gets dehydrated in the winter. For the cold Philly winters this definitely wouldn't be enough hydration for me. I like ti during hot, sticky summers though.

This is a good daily product, but in winter with the strong sun and cold winds I step it up to the 40+ SPF product to provide more moisture and protection which, for me, is better for the extremes of the seasons.

If you have oily skin, I think it would still work great. However, if you lean more towards combination or dry - I think this would not be enough. I have oily skin and it has been great in the Summer/Fall/Winter (I am from the West Coast).

Ok, I have combinational skin lacking water due to recent acne treatment and microdermabrasion.

Before having water loss problem, this lotion was still good for me in winter times.

But after treatment, lotion was very dry for me in winter, so I switched over to clarins cream. Cream works perfectly during winter times.

I'm using this right now in the winter on the east coast where it gets windy and below 20. It's been working pretty well. I'd suggest using a toner if you feel that your skin is a little dry in the morning. I find that it helps moisturize my skin more on windy, cold days.

I bought this because I needed a new winter moisturizer, and I like it so far - hasn't gotten really cold here in the NE yet, but generally I find Clarins to be a good brand for moisturizing.

I live where there is humidity in the summertime and personally I felt this lotion wasn't the answer for my concern... I was looking for a moisturizer that is oil-free with an spf. Other reviewers loved this lotion but not for me.

YES! I have oily skin and I used this product when I was travelling through South East Asia and it was wonderful. However, being in such hot countries, I would suggest a higher SPF on top of this.

I live in Florida, where we have horrible humidity, and I used this all throughout the summer. It is by far the best oil-free moisturizer with SPF I have ever found because it is very lightweight, absorbs quickly and doesn't cause my face to get greasy. Love it!

I live in Austin which is a very high humidity location in the summer months. So far, I have found this spf very light and absorbs well. Typically, I find that most spf 15 or above feel heavy and greasy. This one is a keeper b/c it is not only light but also hydrates. Very few spf's seem to do that!

This product holds up to the weather in a high heat, high humidity region. For those who are active and sweat a lot, this product is a good fit. It does not sweat out or streak.
It might be a bit too light for very dry, cold climates that require a thicker lotion to hold up to strong winds and potential frost bite though.

No sheen at all and certainly no glitter. It leave a soft matte finish, but still allows the skins natural radiance to show through.
