No, it's actually perfect for summer! It's my spring/summer go-to fave. (In the fall and winter, I use Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.) It is sweet without being cloying or sickly-sweet. I get lots of compliments on it!

I plan on wearing it for summer, but I like really spicy, exotic florals. I think it is light enough for summer.

I just recently purchased this perfume because i loved the way it smelled. I personally don't think that it's too strong for the summer....it might be when sprayed at first but the fragrance slowly settles in and is light and refreshing.

Many women seem to really like this as a summer fragrance, but I think it's only suitable for summer evenings. The rose, jasmine and patchouli stick out the most to me, and I described this as a "dusky" fragrance in my review. I think it's best reserved for summer evenings. It would be too "serious" for a 4th of July lunch barbecue, or for wearing to a theme park or the beach.

That said, as comparable alternative I recommend Yves Saint Laurent's Parisienne, which to me smells like Flowerbomb plus blackberries and violets. Parisienne is suitable for day use in summer because it's a brighter version of Flowerbomb. Try it out in store, I hope you like it. Good luck!

I LOVE this scent and wear it ALL year long...........you should try a sample, but beware you will most likely fall in LOVE too! :)

I don't think so, but it probably depends on what the climate is like where you live. I live in Hawaii, and I've been wearing it for the past few weeks and it's been fine. However, in the summer it might seem stronger than in the cooler months. It depends on how it reacts with your skin too. But overall I think it should be ok.

Not at all ~ I've been wearing it for over a year now (on special dates, of course)...doesn't matter what time of year!

It is such an amazing smell and it does last all day. I use the cream and perfume combo to make it last extra long. The perfume alone lasts by itself so dont feel compelled to buy both.

I wear the lotion occasionally under the fragrance. It is a soft scent, very floral. It does seem to last on me. My husband can smell it when I return home from work.

I found the body lotion to be as true a scent as the spray and great staying power. When used with the spray, the lotion really adds life to the scent but was strong enough to stand alone. The lotion is also a really nice moisturizer too...not overly sticky like some scented lotions.

Not sure the lotion, but if its anything like the perfume, it sure will. The perfume last all day, with one simple spray.

The body lotion will not be as strong as wearing the fragrance. If you want the fragrance to last longer on the skin (most lotions last 2-3 hours on the skin) layer with the perfume to get the maximum wear.

My sister has the lotions....very sweet yet sutle. This is a summer scent for sure! She wears the lotions without the perfume.

It's very pleasant- not too strong. On super hot days I sometimes wear it alone.....I found it to be worth having as layering is always good. It does not make you smell like you poured the bottle over you head!! It's very nice.

They are not even close! HOWEVER, I LOVE Pink Sugar and I LOVE this! This one is definitely not as sweet as pink sugar but there is a fantastic gourmand note to it. I would say perhaps this would be the more mature Pink Sugar wearer's perfume. I love Pink Sugar but everyone keeps saying I am too old for it (I'm only 26!) so I thought I would go for something more sophisticated, and I can't get enough! It's the BEST "going out" perfume when you are hitting the town!

Flower Bomb is not as sweet as Pink Sugar. I love Pink Sugar, also. Same family, but P.S. is a bit more like cotton candy, and F.B. is more sophisticated.

They really don't compare. Flowerbomb ismuch stronger and lasts longer. I also have Pink Sugar, but it lacks staying power. A little sweet, makes one think of a "sweet sixteen" year old.

Pink Sugar is definitely sweet! This is sweet, but more developed... if that makes sense. I just see this as a classier scent. I think you'd love it if you like Pink Sugar, as I do!

Ok I also love love PS. This in comparison starts off nice and ends very musty. I'd say smell it for yourself but PS wins by far.

Are you storing your perfume in direct sunlight? Sometimes sunlight can cause the ingredients in perfume to undergo chemical changes. Keep it in a cool place out of the sun, if you can.

I've often wondered myself how long an opened bottle of perfume will keep. I looked up the answer on a few different sites and they pretty much all said 3 - 5 years, and the 1st indication that a perfume has "turned" is a change in the color. However, a few sites also mentioned that as long as the fragrance doesn't smell "bad", there's not harm in continuing to use it. I also came across a good hint for getting "rid" of perfume that looks like it's run out of shelf life...the article suggested mixing the perfume in with your favorite lotion, adding some to your perfume or conditioner, or spraying some directly onto the wet towels in your dryer before you dry them. (You wouldn't want to spray any on wet clothing that could be ruined by the oils in the fragrance).

Are you insane? Perfume is extremely volatile. The better, the less likely to last. It separates and deteriorates until it's mostly a chemical compound -- the residue of the main scent being gone. That 5-yr.old bottle is Something, but it's no longer Flowerbomb. The breakdown attributes to the discoloration and acrid effect. I have a bottle of Lauren from 1987 that I love to look at but the smell is "ew".

If any of your frarances change color you need to get rid of them bc that means they are old and/or expired!

Get rid of it if it's that old!

My husband purchased a bottle at one of those carts/kiosks in the local mall. It cost less yet it smelled fine. Within 6 months it turned that funky pink/brown you mentioned. I still wear it, but only if I'm doing yard work. There is a very slight sourness to it. The new bottle that I purchased mysef, is kept in the refrigerator right next to my E-1 cold pressed Sandalwood oil. Both are precious to me :) I hope I was some help.

The longest I've had a bottle was two years and the pink did get a little darker... but more of a peach than brown.

Sprays generally last longer than the roll-on or dab-on varieties of perfume. I don't know exactly why this is.

Frangrances from a rollerball tend to not last as long as the spray and here's why; rollerballs break the fragrance beads as it rolls across the skin, releasing all the fragrance at one time. When you spray a fragrance on yourself, or in the air and walk into it, the beads remain intact and the scent will last longer.

I feel the spray lasts but while being convinced to buy the entire collection, the saleswoman also applied the very expensive body butter and then sprayed me. The both combined keeps the scent longer. However, I have found while we may not be able to smell it on ourselves, others still can.

Yes, rollerball formula is slightly different, and slightly less strong than spray form because of the way you distribute the product.

I have the Viktor and Rolf spray and it tends to last 3-4 hours for me.

I got a tiny sample of it in a spray bottle and the smell lasted a long time. Normally I can't smell perfumes on me longer than a few minutes, but I could definitely smell it longer. It's very expensive, but It's so worth it.

Love the hairmist, it doesn't last as long as the perfume but its a great deal and can be carried for a freshen up. Hasn't damaged my hair but I don't use the hairmist daily.

buy the perfume. The oils in the perfume make it last a lot longer and leave your clothes smelling yummy.

I would not waste this on your hair. A little goes a long way. The usual places, neck, crease of arms... anywhere someone is going to be smelling it....

this has no alcohol. it is better than the perfume IMO since it is more subtle.

I have both the perfume and the hair mist. Since adding the hair mist, I've noticed I actually use less of the perfume itself, so it is lasting longer. As for the hair mist containing alcohol, yes it does. I asked my hairdresser about damage, and she suggested spraying the underside of the hair, near the nape of the neck where hair is typically stronger anyway. I haven't noticed a bit of damage from this product, in fact I love it. Hope this helps!

I have found that Bath and Body Works Sensual Amber scent has the same type of sexy oriental feel as Flowerbomb. Hope this helps!

Jessica Simpson's "Fancy" smells so much like this. She has a line of bath products that go with it too. "Fancy Love" is much different (smells a lot more like baby powder) so be careful not to buy the wrong one.

No! This is a high quality fragrance, so it can't be simulated cheaply. Just use unscented or gently scented lotion and soap. Flowerbomb's Eau de Parfum formula is stronger than most scents, which are usually Eau de Tiolette, so it's quite potent on its own.

Buy the set and its a great deal. I don't recommend trying to combine anything else with it b/c it is so unique.

As suggested above there is a travel size which works very well. I own it and keep it in my purse at all times.

There is a body butter but it is oil based so if your skin does not react well to oil based and perfumed lotion, I do not suggest using it. However, it is a lovely fragrance. You may purchase it at Bloomingdales.

There is a rollerball available and the travel size perfume with the mini funnel could be used to dab on wrists and neck.

Did you try it on your skin? Sometimes just on the paper sample or on the magazine ad it smells a little funky-- but it's REALLY great on skin (well that's what I found)-- so try that out.

I would not ...very overpowering and unpleasant. It truly is a flower "bomb" ..in the worst way.

In my opinion the perfume is best!

EDT, is more alcohol concentrated & it is the "weaker" version. EDP is pricier, will last longer and only need 1 to 2 sprays.
