SEPHORA COLLECTION Tourmaline Flat Iron

What it is:A versatile, ceramic-plated styler that promotes healthy hair. What it does:Flick, straighten, or wave your tresses with this advanced tool. The bespoke 7/8" wide ceramic floating plates are infused with crushed tourmaline, which channels its natural ionic power to shatter moisture molecules in the hair into small particles in order to boost vitamin and mineral absorption. With Black Tourmaline Technology to speed up the ionic properties of tourmaline ceramic plates, hair can be styled efficiently, with minimal cuticle damage. When heated, the black tourmaline detoxifies and sterilizes, breaking down bacterial build up, leaving you with healthier and more manageable hair. What else you need to know:A salon-approved swivel cord (over nine feet long) makes styling fuss free. Heat control ranges from 140-410° F, so you can choose the setting that suits your needs.

On dry hair, it doesn't work that good with wet hair. I tried it both ways.

Better on dry hair, wouldnt recommend using it on wet. Use a straightening cream and heat protectant spray before.

answer 3
I use it on fully dry hair only and I prefer to let my hair cool for a while after blow drying. Also helps to use some sort of protectant conditioner and spray.

answer 4
You should never use a flat iron on wet hair unless specifically mentioned. Even then its not the best idea. The iron will burn the wet hair to a crisp. So always use on COMPLETELY dry hair.

Yep, just twirl while you slowly go from root to tip. Its best to use a styling spray or foam to make it stay, along with hairspray.

answer 3
No, straighteners should make your hair smooth. This one doesn't work too quickly in my experience, but a few extra strokes and your hair should look smooth. If you're worried about frizz coming back, maybe try a product like Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream?

look for drugstore ones they always have auto shut off cuz professional straighteners used in salons have to stay on all day so if u r lookin for a automatic shut off dont look in the professional brands like sephora

The ghd Professional Original 1" Styler has an automatic shut-off.

As does The Slim Luxe: Creative Styling Curved Half-Inch Iron by Sultra.
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P256819&categoryId=C10450&shouldPaginate=true

Both are small and are great products, a bit pricy though.
