Work great with loose mineral powders. But also work well with pressed powders (for the eye anyway -- have only used the large brush with loose powders).

The big powDer one can be used with.mineral veil. As for a foundation brush, it's too soft, so it doesn't go give you much coverage in one stroke. But the rest of the smaller brushes can do an okay job mineral eye shadows.

Yes these brushes can be used with loose powder makeup. I use mine with the Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure (which is completely loose powder and glitter specs) and these brushes are great for applying that, and some of my other loose powder cosmetics. Just make sure you have some brush cleaner and that you keep them nice and clean.

Yes! these brushes are perfectly designed for fine powders like mineral makeup. I've used them with Tarina's products, Bare Minerals and Tarte and they all go on better with these brushes! They are well worth it and will leave any lower quality brushes in the dust! Hope that helps:)

Sorry but that is just an enhanced photo on the Sephora website. This product is only available with a reddish pink handle. Not a big deal..

Wow. I really thought it was just me. My handles are red as well! I find it a bit odd that a fuschia brush set would even HAVE red handles. the only thing fuschia about it - are the metal barrels around the brush.

I actually use Sephora's antibacterial brush cleaner. I just spray it on the brush, let it sit for a minute or two, wipe it with a lint free cloth, and let it dry in my brush cup. Anitbacterial will definitely help keep your brushes clean after use during breakouts. Another thing people don't always think about is throwing the brush in your make up bag and taking it with you somewhere...most makeup bags look like the bottom of my purse...lol which you probably do not want on your face, right? So just remember to always keep the brush clean and protected (store it in a sleeve of some sort and THEN put it in your makeup bag). Don't just let your brushes float around in your make up bag. Hope I helped! :)

The best way to clean your brushes is to use Baby Shampoo or Dove BodyWash. Personally, I like the Dove BodyWash better since it's moisturizing and will keep your brushes soft after cleaning them. Just like how you'd wash your hair, wash you brushes the same way!

i still love using baby shampoo to clean my brushes coz it's really gentle, it makes the brushes smell GREAT, and it foams up enough to get all the grime and makeup out of my brushes

I really like this brush set, but my only problem is that I need a blush/highlight brush :( Would it be okay if i use the powder brush for my blush/highlight? I'm afraid the brush might be too big for the use.

If you employ a super light hand. The powder brush is big, soft, and fluffy. But anything is possible in this world. :)

One of the reasons I got this set was because the powder brush was a small size and I wanted to use it for blush. Every single blush brush nowadays is huge and adds way too much blush to my face (I look like a clown, seriously). However, this is perfect because the brush head is smaller and refined and I can add blush only in the areas I want. Hope this helps!

I would not use the powder brush for blush/highlitte because it's too big. However, if you are looking for a blush brush, you should buy Benefit's slant powder brush or Laura Mercier's angled brush.

The animal hair used for the bristles can either come from shearing or from the animal's pelts. Unfortunately, most cosmetic companies do not supply this information.

The box isn't really a box just a foam holder for your brushes with a lid.

The box is almost useless! It is just a piece of material that is carved out to fit those specific brushes.

"natural bristles" implies that the brushes are made from animal hair.

Natural bristle makeup brushes can be composed of squirrel, badger, sable, goat, weasel and pony hair. These brushes are significantly more expensive than synthetic makeup brushes.

MAC also offers soft Boar Brushes-All MAC brushes are handmade.
