I bought the brown - pictured here - and it's very dark. I have naturally dark-brown hair, but have a red-toned wash through it, and the brown is really too dark. I should have bought a shade lighter - lighter will look more natural than darker, unless you have brown hair that's bordering on black.

I have dark brown hair and I purchased medium brown so if you have very very dark brown hair and though mine is pretty dark often mistaken for black purchase brown.

I am a copper redhead and I bought the braided headband (same hair/colors) in the light brown as recommended and it REALLY doesn't match. The brown tones are really ashy, with no redness to them at all. Us redheads will just have to sit this one out. :(

If you read the description, it says to try light brown or medium brown with your hair color. Other reviews have said that blonde is hard to match. My dark brown hair matches the dark brown color perfectly.

You might find something similar at Target, I've seen this hair accessory, however, it was attached to a hair clip and had the same effect. If you're looking for an elastic version your best bet is Sephora plus you can collect points to get great deluxe size samples!

I thought I saw in the Instyle hair mag that you have a red color. Are you getting it back? I have coppery red hair with blond back tones and saw a color in the mag that would have worked for me. I hope you will be getting it and not just having colors for blonds and brunettes!

I'm a brunette with tone on tone highlights, and this was a flat mousy brown so it didn't work for me. I want it to appear real, ya know?/ Honestly, you would be better off sectioning off a piece of your own hair and wrapping your ponytail with it. I wouldn't waste the ten bucks if I were you.
