Questions & Answers for Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

Question
Could this be used in place of "Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pen - Long Wearing Brow Tint", to outline and define brows?

I personally wouldnt use this for brows, it's more of a liquid and dries into place. I think it would look unnatural on brows. I love it for eyeline though.

answer 2
You could... but the Anastasia brow whiz (their product that is the most similar to the eyeliner) is much less pigmented than the eyeliner. The eyeliner is meant to make a striking, noticeable, and sharp line whereas the brow whiz is meant to blend in with your eyebrows and not be noticed. I don't think that this would work unless you have really bushy eyebrows and in that case you wouldn't need to fill them in anyways.

Thanks everyone. I use Shiseido's Eyebrow Styling Compact or Anastasia's Dipbrow Pomade (I alternate between the two) to fill in my brows, and just want to outline and define the tail with a brow pen. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a brow pen that comes in a very dark shade of brown...if anyone has recommendations, please send them my way!

answer 4
Definitely not. it's a liquid eyeliner, and has a very dark and smooth eyeliner appearance, nothing like your brow hair. Use an eyeshadow with a thin brush, not a liquid eyeliner. sorry.

answer 5
I would say no. This liner is so rich & pigmented, your brows may look too dark and drawn on.

answer 6
I would generally avoid using a straight liquid eyeliner for eyebrows as it would be difficult to blend or control the way a stick or cream is as well as possibly having a far to intense tint that just wont budge once it's on.

I think this is best used as only an eyeliner...it would be too harsh for brows.

It's as waterproof as you're gong to get for a liquid liner! I've tried them all at sephora, so I know! The staying power is great as long as you obviously so rub your eyes! It dries down very matte so it should work well on oily lids :) I swear the staying power of this thing is unbeatable!
I've never seen anyone use a liquid liner on the waterline, that's what kohl pencils are for... but I would suggest to avoid using the one on the waterline.

It is fine for sensitive eyes but for the waterline, it will not stay on very long at all (it washes away very quickly in my experience). Also, it would not work on oily eyelids. The Almay liquid liner, however, works super well on oily eyelids and I have used it on my waterline a lot and it stays on really well.

I also have very oily and sensitive eyes but this product was great. It stays put and didn't bother my eyes at all. As for the waterline question, I'm sorry I haven't tried it there. Hopefully someone else can help you answer that.

I have occasionally oily eyelids and sensitive skin on lids; no issue with Stila not sticking, smudging or causing irritation so far. I've been using the product for over one month.

Have you tried an eye primer to help with oily eye lids? I use to have the issue too but have been using a primer on my eyelid and that helps lots. With the primer I have no oil on my eyes and my eye shadow and liner stays on perfectly all day.

answer 6
With primer and shadows, oily eyelids are never a problem. I personally have very bad allergies this time of year which gives me very watery/sensitive eyes (which I already have issues with when I am not afflicted with allergies); this can make the product flake or come off where my eyes water but is nothing that I would say is a flaw of the product itself.

I definitely don't think so! Mine is constantly drying out, so the tip of my line is never as precise as I could get it with the KVD. I'm so sad I ever strayed away from her tattoo liner. This Stila one pales in comparison.

No, not for the inner lash line! It runs immediately into the whites of your eyes. This is for the eye lash line only, as all liquid liners are. You need a pencil-type for the inner rim. Try Tarte "emphaseyes." That is my favorite, & I have been through a lot looking for the perfect inner rim liner.

answer 3
No, this product is not all natural/"clean". It contains at least one paraben, methylparaben, and a couple other ingredients that could be of some concern including phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, and laureth-4. These concerns are mostly because of allergies, immunotoxicity, and irritation. It scores a 4/10 on the Cosmetics Database website, making it a moderate hazard. Although I've switched to almost all "clean" cosmetics, this is one I still continue to keep in my makeup bag despite the hazard because of how long-lasting it is.

Softer type line???

You can control how much product is coming out. I pressed very lightly on my lower lash line and the line was extremely thin and nice. I can't really do a soft smokey look with this, when I mess up and wipe the liner off, most of it comes off. My prestige pencil liner does a much better job at this. I would say this helps to create a really polished neat look. I really like making cat eyes with my Stila liner, but I actually think I'm going to go back to my pencil liner. Stila liner dries fast,so you have to work quickly if you want to smudge it.

answer 5
this does not smudge at all. The flow is even, but it dries almost immediately, so it's not for a smudgy, soft look. It is a hard, even line. Great for a vintage cat eye look. You can soften it just a bit by applying some shadow over the line.
