Actually I found it to fade/wear off relatively quickly on me. I even did a thicker line and what not and some of it ended up on my lower lid and faded big time. Unless I got to botched liners (I took one back and bought another) this eyeliner was a major let-down. I have small eyes, a lower crease and my skin type is oily.
The flow was fairly well but I still had a hard time with the winged parts. Color is great though.

My suggestion is to get this product. I promise you you will not be disappointed. I love that I can wear it everyday with just a little mascara and imm done. For an evening out you can also line the inner rim of your eye.......OMG......Mascara....a nude lipgloss and you are ready to go. Everyone of my friends who have seen this on me have gone the next day to buy it.

this item could be used on the inner rim if you choose put it definitely takes a extremely skilled hand & may rub off easy. a pencil may be best of the inner (water) rim/line.

Depends on how even your hand is and how sensitive your eyes are. Mine are about average, and if I carefully apply it to my waterline and pull it away from my eye to wipe any excess from the eyeball side of the waterline, I'm fine. However, the tip is fine enough that you can go right under your lashes and still get it extremely close. Also, when lining on top, it's harder to pull your lid away to wipe any excess from the top, so occasionally the tip has gotten so close I've gotten a bit in my eyes and irritated them - but I guess that's the price you pay for a super precise liner that gets incredibly close to the lashes! Hope this helps.

I think its very easy to use, but I let my mother use it and she found it difficult to apply since she doesn't have a very steady hand. I also bought toikidoki perfetto eyeliner which is a very dollars less and works just as welll, only thing different is that the applicators are not the same but my mother found that to be much easier to apply.

Very easy. It does help to have a steady hand, but the fact that you can smudge it and try again and again while it is still wet, makes it pretty darn easy to get it right.

This product is about as easy to use as it gets for liquid eyeliners. First, it comes as a felt tip pen, not a brush, so you have a much finer tip that is a bit stiffer and so far easier to control. Second, you are getting a perfectly even color flow with no redipping necessary, as with a brush. Third, it's easy to store - just keep it capped, and it's very skinny. I find the length great for my hands. Hope this helps!

I find this product very easy to apply. My experience with most other liquid eye liner has been a love hate relationship. This is not too liquidy which is great because you don't have to worry about applying too much. It goes on very smooth and only takes a matter of seconds depending on how thick you like your eye liner.

Question
How does this compare to Tarte's liquid eye liner?
I recently received the Stila waterproof liquid eye liner and i'm excited to try this out because of all the great reviews. But, i just realized it contains parabens and i'm trying to go all natural with my make up products. Tarte has a very similar appearing black liquid liner (all-natural, paraben-free!) but i haven't heard anything about that liner and was hoping someone who has tried both could give some advice and info on how these compare to each other. Thanks!

I actually have them both (Stila and Tarte) and like them equally the same, so if you're trying to go paraben free, then go with Tarte. I think they both are easy to apply and both long wearing.

I tried using Tarte's Clay Waterproof Eyeliner, it barely lasted the commute to work. I tend to have a problem with excess oil on my eyelids though- the best part about Sephora is that they let you try the product and return it if you're unsatisfied. (Even if you've used it!) So I would suggest giving the product a try- it's great that you're committed to natural make up products.

I currently own both. I purchased the tarte to try it, I do like Tarte, but not as much as my stila eyeliner. I also tend to wear products with little parabens and the such, but I wear them in a very limited capacity. Its almost impossible to totally avoid them if you love makeup... Its my lotions and hair products including dye, which I purchase with lower doses of poison. I keep a close eye on the things I slather on too.

I'm on my second pen and it's been almost a year since I first tried this. I'd say using it everyday it will last about 3 months. My first pen didn't even totally dry out, I threw it away after 3 months when the product wouldn't flow as well as it originally did and I'd have to go over the line twice. It seems to me like the tip wore out before the product was used up...Basically it's a great value!

not the best product for smudging, I like a very precise line, with extending outward from the eye corner. Dries quickly and stays put, so, if you want smudges, should probably pick a different liner.

The pen has lasted me about 3-4 months (I use it probably 4x a week on my upper lids only). I would assume it would last you about 2-3 months if you use it everyday.

It does not smudge on the upper lid, but if it gets wet (ex. if you use it on your lower/upper rim) it bleeds - and I found that it got in my eye and stung. If you put it closer to your lash line, you should be OK.

No, not for the inner lash line! It runs immediately into the whites of your eyes. This is for the eye lash line only, as all liquid liners are. You need a pencil-type for the inner rim. Try Tarte "emphaseyes." That is my favorite, & I have been through a lot looking for the perfect inner rim liner.

No, this product is not all natural/"clean". It contains at least one paraben, methylparaben, and a couple other ingredients that could be of some concern including phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, and laureth-4. These concerns are mostly because of allergies, immunotoxicity, and irritation. It scores a 4/10 on the Cosmetics Database website, making it a moderate hazard. Although I've switched to almost all "clean" cosmetics, this is one I still continue to keep in my makeup bag despite the hazard because of how long-lasting it is.

You can control how much product is coming out. I pressed very lightly on my lower lash line and the line was extremely thin and nice. I can't really do a soft smokey look with this, when I mess up and wipe the liner off, most of it comes off. My prestige pencil liner does a much better job at this. I would say this helps to create a really polished neat look. I really like making cat eyes with my Stila liner, but I actually think I'm going to go back to my pencil liner. Stila liner dries fast,so you have to work quickly if you want to smudge it.

this does not smudge at all. The flow is even, but it dries almost immediately, so it's not for a smudgy, soft look. It is a hard, even line. Great for a vintage cat eye look. You can soften it just a bit by applying some shadow over the line.
