answer 1
I'm not sure about all over the eyelid smoky looks, but I always smudge this on my lower lash line to prevent a "drawn on" look. As soon as I apply the liner, I immediately take a flat/push brush and brush out the ink. You have about 3 seconds to smudge before it completely sets. You'll get the hang of it though! No worries.

Immediately after applying, while the product is still wet, smudge it with a Q-tip.

This actually is more of a precise liner; the product is basically ink-like and it dries fast, so if you mean to smudge the liner and create the smokey effect that way, my answer is, no. However, if you create the smokey look with other products and use this liner, this will definately give you a sharp, clean, dramatic, and bold line top and bottom that will last all day long :)

I would not use this product for a smokey eye look. It's a precision tip liner, and stays put, imagine you are using a pen to line your lids. This is a product that dries right after applying.

I don't think this would be smudgable -it dries really quick which is one of its pluses for easy and precise application.

Personally, I don't ever "smudge" eyeliner. I think it takes away from the richness of the liner. I apply a lighter eye shadow, then apply the liner. once the liner has dried (10 seconds...very quick!), I use a brush to smudge dark eyeshadow on the line, making it thicker and darker towards the outside. the trick is to blend between colors so you don't get harsh lines between the light color of the eyeshadow, the dark of the liner and the smudging color.

you could if u apply a nice, thick line. then right after u do it, use a q-tip to smudge it out. it won't be a perfect smoke eye, but it will smudge.
