Yes, it seems Titanium Oxide serves to block UVA rays as well, based on this information from the Skin Cancer Foundation: "To make sure you're getting effective UVA as well as UVB coverage, look for a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher, plus some combination of the following UVA-screening ingredients: stabilized a avobenzone, ecamsule (a.k.a. MexorylTM), oxybenzone, **titanium dioxide**, and zinc oxide" (my asterisks to highlight the ingredient).

yes, and without chemicals. bareMinerals SPF 25 Mineral Veil uses titanium and zinc oxides, which are physical barriers.

I can tell you that this product was highly recommended by my doctor and his nurses. I am using a product to remove my age spots and wrinkles (without surgery), so I must fully protect my skin. This is the line of products that the nurses in the office use. P.S. My doctor has been one of "America's Best Doctors" since the '90s.

No it doesn't I've finally found the answer. This does not have Zinc Oxide which covers UVA2 rays which are more damaging and tanning. Titanium Oxide which this product has only covers UVA1 rays. I need something that prevents age spots or redarkening of acne and age spots and without Zinc Oxide this product does not fully cover.

It sure does! Yet another reason I love these products.
What ingredient provides UVA protection? The only physical UVA protectant is Zinc Oxide. And this page nor does Bare Mineral's site lists Zinc Oxide as an ingredient. Some packaging lists it some doesn't. Does anyone know the real answer?
