It took me forever to get the powder to come out the head. You have to make sure you turn it all the to open. When you hear the click noise, press the brush head against your hand and it will eventually come out, if it doesnt all leak out the bottom first.

I bought this at a bareMinerals store and was very unhappy about it also. I have since emptied it and use it as a travel brush since the retracting brush and lid are nice features. Either return it to Sephora or use it for travel since it is a terrible design. The hairs in the brush are too short and don't move enough to get the product onto them. Take care!

Did you make sure to open it all the way? It must "click" to open. I have it and I absolutely love it. Shake it a little, but it should immediately disburse mineral veil. Try to exchange it, because you're missing out on a wonderful product.

I had to sort of prime it the first time. Try it out on your wrist. Remember you don't want to actually see much of the powder on the brush - or there is too much. Don't forget about the tap and swirl

Mineral Veil goes well over any other product. Since I use it for touch ups away from home, I can not say whether I would recommend using it after applying other makeup at home. the brush is a bit stiff and may pick up liquid or cream making more frequent cleaning of the brush.

Yes - I do! And it works great.

I use liquid foundation for the coverage and because I find it faster for my daily routine than mineral powder foundation.

I use the mineral veil over my liquid foundation to set and finish it off. Gives a great but subtle air-brush finish.

The brush is held in place by a really strong magnet. All you need to do is pull it by the bristles strait away from the handle. Wash it as you would your regular brushes, but let it dry really well before reinstalling in the handle.

I have the solution!!

The reason the powder doesn't come out of some of the brushes is because the pre-filled Mineral Veil gets clogged in the "tube" (that leads from reservoir to brush) from the time it gets packed at the factory, until you buy it and take it home.

Here's how to unclog it: 1) take the detachable brush off; 2) with the brush-side of the implement facing down, tap the implement on a hard surface (such as a counter top) until the powder starts to come out of the opening of the "tube". Note: You may want to place a napkin or tissue on a hard surface before you tap the implement on it, so you don't mess up your counter top.

Once you do that, you should have not problems with getting the powder to dispense.

I think once the powder starts to fill in the brush it will be easier. I got the silver limited edition MV with 3 holes instead of one and I thought it worked much better. this product is different! i have the same problem. every product i've tried like this hasn't worked at all. nothing comes out or if it does come out it doesn't do anything for me and you can't even tell i used it, however this product is not the same as those.

in my experience with this product it works great! however, the first time i went to use it, it was alittle annoying because it took FOREVER for the product to come out, but once i got it to come out initially it was fine. so don't be surprised if it doesn't come out at first. read the directions and be patient. after i got it to come out the first time it was perfect. it gave me just the right amount of product, it's neat, and it's super convenient. each time you use it you may have to shake it and tap it alittle, but i haven't even had to do that very much after the first time. it usually is ready to go and just comes out.

also, there are 2different settings, buff and open. buff is the 1st setting and that's when it's only halfway open (it's clearly marked on the container and the part that turns has a marker so you can tell where ur turning to) and that lets the least amount of powder come out. that is used for people that don't like a lot of makeup on their face or if they want a more sheer coverage. open is when it's all the way open and that lets out the most amount of powder for more coverage. i keep mine all the way open when i use it. it explains this to you in the directions. also, before you twist the bottom make sure the top cap is off so you don't mess it up.

also you'll notice that when you twist it the brush twirls up or down. in the buff position the brush is slightly less up than in the open position which is up as far as it will go. you have to make sure the brush is all the way down and that you feel it click and the marker is pointing to where it says lock, or the cap will probably fall off and/or it will make a mess in ur purse. it has to be clicked to lock and to secure it from leaking. i hope this was helpful.

I bought the mini refill w/ the foundation. I found it very hard to get any of the powder out! I removed the foundation it came with and replaced it w/ mineral veil. That seems to work! It must be the finer particles. I’d like to add, I feel like a lot of the product is being wasted because of the uneven way it comes out.

I don't have the scientific specifics, but I once played volleyball in the sun until my chest was blistered - my face, protected only by BE, didn't even get pink - no hat, no sunscreen, no shade. Since I am allergic to sunscreen, I wear the foundation (better) and/or mineral veil every day for sun protection - and my skin has yet to show sun damage or wrinkles, even though I'm 42 and have worked outdoors my whole life. (Enough people have been shocked to know I'm not late 20s that I know it's working.) I realize this may not help you in your quest for numbers, but it's all I've got.

again....this is answered for you already in the description. it offers the same protection as whatever you're putting into it. the foundations have spf 15 and as far as i know the mineral veil doesn't have any spf (according to my containers of it) unless you have the new mineral veil with spf 25.

you people really need to start reading the descriptions of things more carefully because almost every question that everyone has asked has been right there in black and white in the description of the product. read more carefully and look at everything.
