It took me forever to get the powder to come out the head. You have to make sure you turn it all the to open. When you hear the click noise, press the brush head against your hand and it will eventually come out, if it doesnt all leak out the bottom first.

I bought this at a bareMinerals store and was very unhappy about it also. I have since emptied it and use it as a travel brush since the retracting brush and lid are nice features. Either return it to Sephora or use it for travel since it is a terrible design. The hairs in the brush are too short and don't move enough to get the product onto them. Take care!

Did you make sure to open it all the way? It must "click" to open. I have it and I absolutely love it. Shake it a little, but it should immediately disburse mineral veil. Try to exchange it, because you're missing out on a wonderful product.

I had to sort of prime it the first time. Try it out on your wrist. Remember you don't want to actually see much of the powder on the brush - or there is too much. Don't forget about the tap and swirl

Mineral Veil goes well over any other product. Since I use it for touch ups away from home, I can not say whether I would recommend using it after applying other makeup at home. the brush is a bit stiff and may pick up liquid or cream making more frequent cleaning of the brush.

Yes - I do! And it works great.

I use liquid foundation for the coverage and because I find it faster for my daily routine than mineral powder foundation.

I use the mineral veil over my liquid foundation to set and finish it off. Gives a great but subtle air-brush finish.

The brush is held in place by a really strong magnet. All you need to do is pull it by the bristles strait away from the handle. Wash it as you would your regular brushes, but let it dry really well before reinstalling in the handle.

I don't know about tinted MV, but it is refillable so you can just add what you want after you finish it. I just got it a month ago and only use it on the days I ride and change at the barn. So, I'm not using it everyday, and don't know how long it will last before I need a refill. It is a great size and the brush is just as soft as the big ones. I love it, and I have one in the foundation too.

I take a piece of paper, fold it in half so there is a good, sharp crease, then open it and I shake some powder from the jar onto the paper. Finally, I close the fold the paper so it forms about a 30 degree angle (or so it looks like a V), and use that as a kind of "funnel" to get the powder into the brush. It takes a few go-rounds, but it's the most effective way I've come up with. But just fyi, after getting 3 replacements I am finally giving up on this product.

It doesn't come with a little scooper, so I just use the little scoop that came with the larger refillable brush. Easy to do, but if you don't have the little scooper, you could get a tiny little funnel and do it that way. It does not fit a whole jar of mineral veil though.

Elaine, I did not purchase, this item yet, but many years agoa ,( before your time) lol, when the product was first introduced, thy offered this thype of easy and convient travel companion. I am sure they have improved the the container leakeage problem.

Yes, you use a small funnell to refill the base with your product. Not hard at all. If you doo not have a small funnel you can fold a small piece of paper into the shape of a funnell, works well. I forget your other questions, but I love the idea of it so much I am still using it. It is old and cracked and I love it. I refill it and each time I wipe off with a damp wash cloth any excess and then tape the base with clear medical adhesavie tape. It holds it on tight and nothing leaks. I gusess it is time for me to cough up a few bucks and purchase a new one. Love, love , love the whole idea. Nina
