Not a whole lot but you don't need much at all. Literally a small, small amount for the eyes it enough and it is creamy enough to go across the whole lid.

You only need a very small amount of this to cover your whole eyelid. It's actually difficult for me to push the pump down just a little so that a few drops come out and I don't end of up having to wipe some off.

A teeny tiny dab of this is all you need, so one bottle lasts a really long time. Just barely press the pump to get the right amount of product. It covers so well, that is all you need. I think this is a great value for the coverage and benefits you get.

Question
Will this spoil if I transfer it into a sample size jar?
Will this spoil if I transfer it into a sample size jar? I've been using a sample of Stay Don't Stray I got in the primer sample set. I love the way it keeps my undereye concealer in place (I hate the scent but I can overlook it just for the sake of the results).

I've read that the pump on it is very annoying as it always dispenses too much product which ends up being quite wasteful. Do you think the product would spoil if I were to transfer a couple pumps at a time into a little foundation sample jar (clean of course)? From what I've read, a pump or two are enough product to last about a week....

what do you think?

I'm not sure if that is a good idea but the lady at Sephora gave me some good advice...If you put your thumb underneath the opening while you pump it it will stop it from pumping all the way, so sort of like a half pump. This will give you enough of the product for both eyes top and bottom lids.

I tried to save the left over product in a pot with a screw on lid and also a plastic jar with a suction - type lid. In both instances the product became dry and unusable. :-( You can give it a try, but don't pump too much because it might not work.

answer 6
I'm not sure if it would spoil, but I would think not. When you go to sephora or any other make up counter, they always give a one week sample that is dispensed in a plastic container. For that reason, I would think it would be ok. I would suggest cleaning your container in between uses. And you are correct. The pump dispenses entirely too much product. I've even tried barely pressing the pump down, and I still end up with too much product. I hate that I have to wipe the remainder off and toss in the trash.
Hope this helps..

I don't know if it will spoil or not, but I often use just half of a pump on the back of my hand when I use it. I found that a full pump is too much product so I try to be mindful and just use half a pump which works well for me.

how to apply under eyes
I have tried using this both under foundation and over before a creamy concealer for eyes..I set with a brightening powder, but my concealer still ends up looking cakey and clumpy-like looking before i even leave the house. It works fine on my eyelids.Any suggestions?I also use kinerase c8 peptide for eye followed with an eye cream. Is it too much product?I let each absorb before applying the next.would my regular face primer be as effective?I use smashbox photofinish.I have bad undereye circles which look worse witha cakey mess...help!!!

I apply Sephora's Instant Moisturizer then this product, my Bare Escentuals powder foundation and finally their powder concealer and it looks perfectly smooth. I would suggest trying it without applying Kinerase and then if that still doesn't work out for you, leave out the eye cream too and use a more basic moisturizer instead if you have one. This product is very, very oily but also needs to dry properly to hold the eyeshadow and concealer you put on in place all day. I can imagine it would get clumpy if applied with too much on underneath. Hope this helps!

I use Stay Don't Stray as an undereye concealer. After toning, I apply serum, then intense moisturizer lightly, then a thin layer of regular moisturizer, then MakeUp Forever primer. After the primer has set, I apply the concealer sparingly with my fingertips underneath my eyes, but before my foundation which I apply with a brush. Are you using too much concealer? Because I think we're using about the same number of products. I don't use a brightener, but that shouldn't make a huge difference. Have you tried playing around with the quantities of product you're using?
Hope this helps!

Ive got bad dark circles no matter how much sleep I get and some fine lines starting to form. Here's my method: collagen elastin moisturizer photo finish primer, stay put primer, erase paste, smash box primer w.dermaxyl then cover girl w.olay foundation. It's a lot of steps but it works relly well together. Tried this process with other conceal ors but the erase paste was the only one that really works.

I have allergies and also have pretty bad undereye circles. I love this product. I have noticed that since I'm layering a few products it IS very important to let each product "dry" before applying the next. For the daytime I use Ole Henriksen's truth serum first, wait about a min or so until it has settled in, then I use the sheer transformation moisturizer. Again I allow a minuite or so for that to settle and absorb. Then I use the stay don't stray, and really a LITTLE bit goes a long way with this one. One full pump is really too much for my eyelids and undereye. I apply a very small amount, just enough to cover the area and let that try 30-45 seconds probably. THEN I use my concealer. If it's a casual day I follow with just a little powder, but if I'm dressing up at all I use foundation followed by powder. I've never had a problem with a cakey eye. But I can see how if you don't let each step settle and dry before applying the next, you could end up with a problem. Also if you use too much of this product, because you just need enough to lightly cover the area.

I use Skin Ceuticals eye gel under my eyes and it can sometimes be a little heavy under my eyes if I add this concealer. I believe its the vit C that keeps it a bit tacky and therefor making my coverage cakey. I don't use this product under my eyes anymore for that reason. I do also add StriVectin-SD under my eyes after the vit c, about 3 min apart and then my concealer. I find that this product works best on the upper lid and not the best for hiding those pesky dark circles.

Sounds like a lot of product. But I am not familiar with what you use first. I would maybe cut out the first step and see how it act with your concealer on top of it. I use a small amount and make sure i spread it out evenly. I let it absorb them use the Amazing Cosmetic Concealer and it covers great on top of this. You might could give that a try. :)

Oh yes! That's the main reason I bought it. I use liner on my water line and not only does it stay in place, but it doesn't run! No raccoon eyes at the end of the day!! Apply it as close as you can to your lower lash then the liner. It works great as a concealer (it doesn't budge). I'm very fair skinned so the color matches my skin tone. Don't apply too much, you only need a little. You'll know you went overboard when the color starts looking too pale. Good luck!! :0]

Since I can no longer find F Y...eye! on any websites, I assume this is the replacement. It is VERY similar in the way that it works, although I did prefer dipping my fingertip into the little pot (less wasteful.) Stay, Don't Stray seems to cover any eyelid imperfections just as well as F Y...eye!, and it definitely lasts just as well. When I wore it for the first time, someone said, "What have you done to yourself? You look good!" The only change was this eyeshadow base!

Eyelids typically aren't an oily part of the face so I'm not sure why you are concerned about that with this product since it is only designed to be used around the eye and not as a concealer on other (more typically oily) parts of the face. I have combination skin and have not had a problem with this product.

Although I don't see oil listed in the ingredients, Stay, Don't Stray does NOT bill itself as non-comedogenic (or pore-blocking.) Obviously, since it has the consistency of facial liquid makeup, it might block your pores unless completely removed at the end of the day. I always use eye makeup remover before washing at night.
