Rosacea, Ance, and Combo Skin
My face has been hormonally confused since I had kids. I'm 35 years old, and my youngest is 10. I have 3 of those blessings that cursed my skin, and prior, I had calm and smooth skin. That was when I was a teenager though, so my skin mixed itself up, and now I have been diagnosed with rosacea (hated prescription cream and pill) and acne (prescription cream for that burned). I also have freckles and spots, though I'm light/medium in color. My skin flairs so easily on my face and chest, and itches around my eyebrows, nose, etc. I get breakout on my chin, neck, cheeks, and the occasional forehead. My skin is oily and yet flaky over my acne as it recovers. I currently use Argan Oil, and while it is non-irritating and good for overnight, I find it to be too oily for daytime use. I live in the Midwest, so it is dry and cold now, whereas it's humid and warm in the summer. To cut this short, would this serum be a good candidate for me to try? If so, what products would you suggest with it? Thanks in advance for any honest and helpful answers!!!

on Anti-Redness Serum
Well, the good news is this is very good for sensitive skin and certainly shouldn't make you break out further or make your skin more oily. When I put it on, it's very soothing.
I would not recommend this product for you. I also have rosacea and live in a climate that gets very cold and dry in winter, and this product didn't do anything to mellow out my redness. It also doesn't provide any moisturizing and has a sticky texture when it dries. I also use argan oil and find that it's great for protecting my very sensitive skin during winter. There are some topical antibiotics that dermatolagists can give you an Rx for that may help with your rosacea that might help; I tried this last year and it seemed to help more than anything else I've tried.

My skin type is very similar to yours. I have oily skin that gets dry and flaky in the winter, with mild rosacea and occasional hormonal acne. I think this product will be very good for you. It's soothing, calming and hydrating without making you shinny. I have not been able to see a difference in my rosacea but this product doesn't clog my pores and doesn't irritate my skin when I have an acne breakout. Definitely give it a try!

I 100% think this product will help you!! I live in a part of Canada where our Winters are brutal. It sounds like we have somewhat comparable skin and this product has done some great things for me.

Personally, I've been dealing with mild rosacea since I was a teenager (I'm 25 now) and I think this stuff is a life-saver. The flakiness, redness, and bumps are gone, and I haven't had any flare-ups since I started using it. I don't actually find it super-moisterizing on its own, so I apply it underneath a separate moisturizer (their Ultra Repair Cream - heavy duty stuff. This is part of what helps with the flakiness, particularly in winter). Perhaps that means it would be effective for you and not too overpowering, moisture-wise? I would recommend trying it and using it consistently for at least a week - half a pump twice a day after washing with a really mild soap. If it helps at all, this is my daily regimen, which has been working well these past few weeks: Wash with Bare Minerals purifying cleanser, apply FAB Anti-Redness Serum, then FAB Ultra Repair Cream, top with Bare Minerals powder Foundation.
And besides, Sephora has a great return policy, so if all else fails and it doesn't work, you can always return it.

Age 62, my rosacea is not as severe as yours. For me, this feels like first aid, soothing, calming, and gentle. Love the FA products.
I have also used the Murad line for "redness" (rosacea). I would say they are equal.
I have decided that "less is best" - do the minimum maintenance to your skin. Avoid the sun, 15spf, wear a hat w/ wide brim.
I wear sunglasses that also protect around my eyes. I have very few wrinkles, no crow's feet.
Stress is a factor, also, sooth with FA & let your skin rest and heal. Please be patient!
I use the FA cleanser, serum, & pads -- love FA, quality, gentleness, & it's effective. I rate it as "up there" with those higher priced lines.
Because the pads provide a deeper clean, I use them every other day-if you try the pads, I would start out with light usage until you see how it does.
Hope this helps somehow.
