This cream is a blessing as it gives my breakout prone, but also dehydrated, sensitive skin much needed hydration. It is tricky to hydrate well when a lot of oils and ingredients simply clog me up, but not this cream. In fact, when protected and hydrated properly my skin is much less likely to go into an angry funk of overproducing oil, getting blotchy and hysterical. I sometimes layer it with hyaluronic acid.

I love this. I don't have a problem with it, my husband has no problems, nor do our children. We all have different types of skin, and it hasn't clogged anyone's pores. It's excellent.

it doesnt seem to clog my pores at all. i noticed, that when i would usually be at work, midday my face would be so oily and i mistaked it to be because i had oily skin. in fact i have dry skin and the oil came from my body reacting to it feeling dry, therefore producing more oil. hope this helped!

It didn't clog my pores. However, my skin is dry and my pores are not visible. I have areas of redness, which I was hoping it would work wonders on, but thus far, nothing I've used has. I just started using the Clarisonic and notice my skin feels better and it seems to calm my facial redness.

I did not even know this was a face cream. I bought it specifically for my legs. It works wonders on my psoriasis! I would never in a million years put this cream on my oily face!! I'm breaking out just thinking about it!!

You can use it everywhere. It's excellent. It clears up things like poison ivy and wind burns almost immediately, much faster and much better than actual products designed specifically for poison ivy. I've used it for cooking burns, too, and it's very comforting.

I have mostly dry and sensitive skin, but with a few oily places that break out. I have been using this product for about 3 weeks now and haven't had a break out in either place, so I think its worth trying. Also note that this is a great all around moisturizer so if you find your face is too sensitive (which would surprise me), you can still use it on your body and get a lot of mileage out of it since you don't need to use that much - it goes on evenly and absorbs well the first time.

Question
Use for periorbital dermatitis
My esthetician recently told me I had periorbital dermatitis which causes chronic redness, scaly skin, and pustules primarily around my chin and around my mouth. Would this be a good moisturizer to use? I use a tea tree oil and jojoba oil mix at night and Josie Maran argan oil in the morning.

You might want to check with your dermatologist -- it sounds like you might have a touch of rosacea (which, in turn, causes the dermatitis). The FAB cream will definitely not worsen the situation, but you should see an expert to get to root causes. If you have some flakiness either with your pustules or elsewhere on your face, then likely you could use an expert to prescribe you topical or oral treatments. I'm taking Accutane to diminish my rosacea (and bumps), which is making my sensitive skin even more so, plus dry. The FAB cream is a god-send as a night treatment, but again, I'm under a doctor's regimen for the larger issues.

I believe, you just nailed the dermatitis issue I have had for the past several years. My aesthetician, guessed it may be eczema, and this beauty product stated it was for eczema skin problems. Evidently, the skin issue I have, sounds exactly what you just described. And NO, this product irritated my skin even more with additional burning sensations.

I would definitely use this on my baby or toddler! I would find out what was causing the rash first, though. Fabric softener is a big rash causer for both young and older. The colloidal oatmeal in this really calms the skin and helps fight itch too. Best of luck with sweet baby!!

I would suggest getting a sample at the local Sephora store, if you have one. It works great on my REALLY dry skin. Thankfully, it's made without triclosan, which is an "antibacterial". But, it can be very drying. It doesn't work "overnight", but give it a couple of days.

is this good for really bad eczema?
my dad has had really bad eczema on his hands (in the palm) for over a year now and it's extremely itchy and it looks really bad. all the skin is turning a weird color... he tried all the creams, including prescription creams and nothing seems to work. i heard that the creams with less chemicals are better.
anyone with really bad eczema tried this and could tell me if it worked and if not, recommend some other product?

I'm not sure it would solve his eczema problem if it is that severe, but I'm sure it couldn't hurt to try. We've used it on my son's eczema on his hands and legs and noticed a great improvement within days. It's not at all greasy and it absorbs really quickly. That alone would probably make him more comfortable than the usual treatments. The scent is pretty mild, too, not at all medicinal. Plus, you can use it as often as you want, so he could keep his skin treated more of the time.
Give it a shot. It's not that pricey and Sephora will always take things back if you're not happy. Good luck!

Eczema could make your skin turn pink or red depending on the rash. If your dad's skin is turning a weird color, he should ask his dermatologist to take a smaple and do a culture. He might have vitiligo or some other skin condition. If he does have eczema, then this cream would help. However, there is no cure for eczema.

My boyfriend gets mild eczema flair ups from time to time and this cream has helped a whole lot. Another cream that we use that's helped it too is Psorzema by Derma-E. However, your dad's situation seems a little more severe, so I'm not sure if these would work.
I would say that it wouldn't hurt to try though. Both of these products are relatively cheap and they might at least help make the itchiness more bearable. If it doesn't work for your dad's eczema, then at least he or another family member will have a really good, moisturizing cream for other uses.

I have had bad excema for years!! Tried all kind of stuff OTC and RX. The one item/ingredient that does a half decent job is coal tar but it can smell really bad. I've concluded it isn't going away so the next best thing is to calm and comfort as much as possible. Mine is not on my hands so I don't know if you can get your Dad to use this but I use a Merle Norman product called Super Lube. It is super emollient and protective like vasoline would be. I use it after a shower and at bedtime. It would work even better if you could get him to use it and then wear cotton gloves to bed. Just a thought.... Tell him not to worry, the contents are pink but clear when applied. I hope this helps. I know what a pain this can be.

this might be great for moisture, but I'm not sure about redness, that's what I would have like to have seen, reduction in redness in my skin, on my dry patches, but haven't noticed that yet, but it does feel good on my skin and doesn't add to the irritation.

This is not an aging serum so I am not sure if you will see much reversal or line diminishing qualities. How ever keeping the skin moist will give it a younger more youthful look and feel. It does not have SPF so I always recommend additional protection. Need dry skin relief with out sticky, perfume or waxy lotions this is a wonderful product.

When I used this, my skin just sort of drank it in. Which is good I suppose, but it didn't really leave my skin prepped for makeup. My skin wasn't very smooth after using this. It was a bit dull and rough in fact. It may just be due to the fact that it absorbed so far into my skin, I don't know. It moisturized adequately and didn't irritate my skin, but that's pretty much all I can say for it.

I use it every day now in the winter under my make up I use bare minerals and it sits nicely. you just need a dab of it not too much. I don't think it seems too oily. I really like it. Maybe not for summer not sure about that yet. I'm still oily where I normally am but no more than normal. I have used other face lotions that make me much more oily. It's an intense mostierizer for sure.

Yep, and it worked just fine. Just give it enough time to absorb, which isn't all that long.

Yes, I use it on my face daily and add makeup on top of it. My makeup goes on smoothly and lasts as usual. I have really dry and sensitive skin, so before using this product makeup would burn when I put it on but now it no longer burns.

I use it for day and evening. It absorbs very quickly so you can layer on a foundation primer or just use foundation - either way it works.
