I have yet to travel with it, but I can say that compared to other cases I have researched... this is far more sturdy than anything else I have seen. I have the red patent leather. I doubt I would check it as regular luggage, but it should serve you well as a carry-on.

I am sorry that I don't know the size specifics, but I am sure you can find them in the product description. In a guestimate, I would say it is about 8 x 10 inches with a depth of about 6 inches. It holds a lot of make up and the internal shelves fold out into the opened lid with very strong support.

i'm pretty sure they're the same size. if you have a large makeup collection like i do, i'd suggest investing in something bigger if you want it all to fit.. i was able to fit a TON in here, but had to sort out what i would leave in a 'makeup drawer'.
