The coverage is a bit heavier than tinted moisturizer but still sheer. I have post-acne scars on my cheeks that are definitely noticeable when I don't have makeup on. But, with this foundation, they're covered up pretty well. (I don't use concealer..just a personal preference.)

Yes, it is buildable coverage so dab a little more on with your foundation brush and set with powder.

What color would I purchase if I currently use Nars Oil Free Foundation in St Tropez?
I currently use Nars Oil-free foundation in St Tropez cannot locate in on the website. I see there is a new product that looks as if it may be a replacement (Sheer Mate Foundation), but don;t see the color I am used to wearing. Need to know the replacement color I should purchase.

You really should go into a store and try it out. My guess would be something along the lines of Stromboli or Barcelona but I can't see your skin!

I was st trpoez in NARS oil free foundation. I am olive tone with a little redness to my cheeks and nose and that color always worked for me! In the sheer matte I am stromboli (now this is in my winter skin) or barcelona ( during the summer; I live in florida and tan easy). Hope this helps!

I have combination skin - very oily T zone, while the rest of my skin is dry. I recommend you put face primer on your T-zone to create a barrier for your skin. Then just a light moisturizer for the remaining areas of your face. This helped a lot in preventing break outs in the T zone area for me, and at the same time controlling the oiliness in my face and keeping the rest of my face moisturized.

I have combination skin as well, and this has not bothered me at all so far. Everyone is different, but it has improved my skin, if anything. I love this stuff!

you might want to use sheer glow instead of the matte bc the matte makes you skin look a bit flaky and you can see more lines especially aound the eye area

I purchased santa fe matte by nars. very drying. consultant @ sephora told me to come back @ another time since I wasn't satisfied !
I will now go back to purchasing from a dept. store. The staff there is more concerned w/ my satisfaction than in just selling a product.

I have the Budapest powder foundation, but use Syracuse liquid. Tahoe would be too dark, so Syracuse or Barcelona may be your best bet. You really should go into a shop and test first.

for me it doesn't seem too. It feels light, and I'm pretty sure its oil free. I would just suggest (as you probably already know) washing your face EVERY night.

I don't really need foundation either. I do have extremely, extremely oily skin. This is better than a blot powder, but more lightweight than traditional foundations. If you can, stop into a sephora to get a sample. If not, order it and return it if you are unsatisfied.
