This moisturizer is meant to be used on the face, throat and decollete, avoiding the immediate eye area. Try using the Premier Cru Eye Cream!

I would not use the cru la creme for eyes. I started to use it underneath mine for dark circles, and my eyes started to burn when it was absorbed. Face serums and moisturizers aren't typically opthomologist tested and approved because your skin is a different body part from your eyes. I recently bought the premier cru eye cream and have not experienced any negative experiences.

The little pamphlet that comes with the moisturizer says to "finish by making small circles at the corners of the eyes and on the forehead." I'm sure it is just fine to use without it, but I still use an eye cream.

I only got a small sample of this, but from what i saw it definitely can be used around the eyes. I did, it didnt burn or anything, but you may have more sensitive skin than me. I noticed improvement everywhere, including my eyes. I say try it...you really only need a small amount for your whole face.

Personally, I wouldn't. I don't believe it is formulated for that sort of use. And considering it is a lightweight creme, I find it is too rich for the immediate eye area. If I apply it just little too high on my cheek near the eye, I'll get one of those tiny superficial pimples.

I use Caudalíe's Vinexpert lip & eye serum, and it works well for me, but you do need to use it consistently for results (and you can use it on your eyelids, too)!

Question
How long does it last?
If used on a daily basis, how long can one expect it to last? It says 1.7 ounces, but I'm wondering if used as a daily moisturizer/serum how many months it will last. Thanks!

This was a splurge for me! I have wanted this cream for a long time and have loved the results. When it started to act empty I was disappointed (had only been about 2 months of daily use). I actually put a serum on first and then barely have to use any of this because it glides on so easily and smoothly. I'm all for squeezing the last drop of expensive creams out, so I took the bottle apart and there was actually about half left! The dispensing mechanism got clogged against the side of the bag and I'm glad I checked. Don't want to waste a drop of this stuff! Double check the bottle inside before you toss it! I couldn't get the bag/dispenser back in the bottle unfortunately but at least I have a lot more product I can use.

You only use two pumps per application. It should last at least 4 months, if used as directed.

answer 3
If used twice a day, this item should last 2-3 months if 2 pumps are used each time (one for the face and one for the neck). If you only use 1 pump per each use or only apply once a day (1-2 pumps per day) the item may last 4-5 months.

This is an excellent anti-aging treatment which for most skin types can be an all in one serum/ moisturizer to treat all the concerns of aging; dry skin types may nee an additional moisturizer such as their Vinosource Anti-Wrinkle Nourishing Cream.

My skin is very sensitive and can still break out at 59! I have not had any
ill-effects from this product. It feels great, hydrates the skin and absorbs quickly. It is not greasy or pore-clogging in my experience. Hope that helps.

I am chalked FULL of acne scars... Dreadfully, I used to be a picker, and was def punished for it. This will reduce them more than anything I have ever tried, but keep in mind, just like cellulite creams, there is NO product that will just get rid of them all forever. You can get artefill which is an injectable, that IS permanent, but $1000.00- if you dont want to be poked with needles, than this cream is for you. I use estee lauder double wear maximum cover, and combined with la creme CRU, you can't even see my scars.

I have been using the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum for almost a month now and definitely notice a reduction in dark spots and imperfections. The Vinoperfect is touted as being good for dark spots and seems to be more targeted towards unevenness than anti-aging. Here is what it says about the Radiance Serum:
Based on in vitro testing, conducted by the Montpellier Faculty of Pharmacy, of the inhibiting action of Viniferine on tyrosinase:
- 62 times more effective than vitamin C
- 4 times more effective than kojic acid
- 13 times more effective than arbutin in boosting skin radiance and fighting dark spots

In a test carried out on 20 volunteers after use of Vinoperfect Regimen, under dermatological control:
- Volunteers saw disappearance of one or more dark spots after 56 days

Whereas if you look at the Premier cream, it says "38% reduction of dark spots" and it seems to be more of an anti-aging cream, so I would go with the Serum. It's half the price, as well.

I used this in place of the Radiance Serum and Vendages moisturizing cream. It was - okay. I definitely didn't think it worked as well nor was it worth the expensive price. I love Caudalie products but this one just doesn't do it for me, especially at the cost. I've gone back to serum + moisturizer again.

This is a moisturizer but brings fast results and provides similar results as the best serums out there. Thus this can be used alone. I still use my favorite serums under this, but you'll see results either way.

I live in a moderate climate (4 seasons) with combo skin and I use something lighter in the warmer months, but swear by Premier Cru in the fall/winter. It's very moisturizing without being heavy.

I don't know if it's safe for pregnancy, but you should really go to a medical professional instead of cosmetic store with those questions. Does it make you break out? Different products make different people break out. There is never any guarantee.

Question
What products should I use this with?
I received a sample of this and just loved the product. Would now like it to be part of a complete Caudalie regimen. I am in my 40's so anti-aging is a priority and live at 7,000 feet altitude so the air is extremely dry. I am looking at using the foaming cleanser and eye/lip serum but am not sure if I need to add any other products to this.

I would also add the Beauty Elixer. One of my very favorite products, and is very refreshing when skin is dry. If you spray on skin before you put on cream, it will make cream even easier to spread. It is also great for setting makeup, i.e., after all is done lightly mist face. The eye and lip cream are great...I think they even make one for dry skin. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Caudalie!

The foaming cleanser is delightful, especially when mixed with Caudalie's gentle buffing cream as a daily cleansing treatment.
I also love the Vinoperfect radiance mask, it uses several fruit acids, lactic acid and other goodies to gently exfoliate the skin, which is an important weekly step in any skin care routine.

The beauty of this product is that it's all-inclusive...it's got all the good stuff already in there. And they've omitted the bad stuff (paraben & nasty chemicals I can't pronounce) If I had to choose a complementary product, I'd recommend a nice glass of Merlot (keeping with that healthy grape theme, of course). Enjoy the science of the grape!

Regardless of whether hydrog. oils are good or bad, the word "natural" should never be confused with "safe" or healthy. Snake venom, E. coli, and cyanide are all completely natural.

answer 2
The safety of PEG Castor Oils and PEG Hydrogenated Castor Oils has been assessed by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel. The CIR Expert Panel evaluated the scientific data and concluded that PEG-30, -33, -35, -36 and -40 Castor Oil were safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products at concentrations up to 50% and that PEG-30 and -40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil were safe for use at concentrations up to 100%.
Why is it used in cosmetics and personal care products?
PEG Castor Oils and PEG Hydrogenated Castor Oils help to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified. They also help other ingredients to dissolve in a solvent in which they would not normally dissolve.

I'm no expert, but oils are hydrogenated to make them liquid at room temperature, rather than solid. This makes them likely to clog your arteries when taken internally. At least this is what I've learned. I don't know that there is any negative to them when applied externally. I can say that the Caudelie products have made my skin very healthy. There aren't a lot of regulations on using the word "natural", only the word "organic".
