answer 1
I am prone to breakouts and I was not a fan of the face wash that comes with it. I previously used proactiv but since it has micro scrubbing beads in it, that wasn't an option anymore. Philosophy's purity face wash works wonders with the clarisonic. It is gentle, really effective at cleaning, and hasn't caused my super sensitive skin any problems at all. I love it!

No, I use it with jojoba. I just wash the brush with soap when I am done.

I use LOreal Revitalift facial cleanser. It is not harsh and with the Clarisonic, it leaves your skin wonderfully soft and smooth, never taut and dry. Plus, Loreal Revitalift smells so good and is inexpensive--you could get it at your local drugstore :)

No, it will work with any cleanser though they don't recommend using it with exfoliating cleansers that contain beads, etc. I use it with Philosophy's Purity Made Simple and I love it. It's a match made in heaven as far as I'm concerned. :-)

I use the Clinique 3 step system and because the products work best together I use the cleanser that goes with it. But the cleanser that comes with the Mia does work well so it comes down to your own personal preference. To answer your original question you do not have to use the cleanser that comes with the Clarisonic.

I use my regular cleansers (non-foaming), which include some water soluble oil-based cleansers. The brush can take on the tint of the cleanser (at least it did with the Bobbie Brown Extra Soothing Cleansing Balm; I don't generally wear makeup), but that came off easily just by rinsing the brush. As a kidney transplant candidate, I take the brush off the machine and wash it after each use and then leave it off so it will dry fully as I find it takes more than 8 hours for the brush to dry, even off the machine, and I don't want to use a slightly damp brush (I leave it uncovered and on the far side of the well-ventilated bathroom, away from the toilet or where my cats might access it). Thus far I've used it with the Clarisonic Gentle Hydro Cleanser (comes with the Mia), with Bobbie Brown Extra Soothing Cleansing Balm (blissful balm, very soothing, but alas not available here; wish it was, hint, hint Sephora!), and Shiseido cleansing oil. You need much less cleanser than you normally use; a little goes a long way and you can apply the cleanser to your skin OR to your brush (I applied the Clarisonic cleanser to the brush, the others to my skin and used the brush over them). I also use the delicate brush since I have very sensitive skin and rosacea....and haven't had any redness or sensitivity at all! Hope this helps!

You can use any cleanser you like. I don't recommend one that is gritty or abrasive since the brush will do the exfoliating for you. I do really like the cleanser that came with it and I use my Mary Kay Timewise cleanser or Philosophy Purity cleanser works awesome with this as well.
