It is 23$ CAD. The prices on the Sephora websites are never the CAD prices. To see the CAD price, just add it to your basket and go there and click on "Canadian Checkout". There you will see the price in CAD. It is bizzare because sometimes prices are almost the same (like for the Naked2 palette it is 50$ USD and 52,50$ CAD) and sometimes there is a BIG difference (for the Naked 1 palette, it is 48$ USD and 58$ CAD).

yes, it definitely is. I used to think buying the cheap stuff at the local store was better, but you definitely get so much more quality in application, look, and ease with this. Plus, I've worn it every day for 4 months straight and haven't even come close to running out!

Mine was $18. Also, Canadian rates don't transfer straight across to the USD. Another reason for your "inflated" price could be you didn't realize shipping was added to it.

I think this is a currency exchange issue. It is $18 US but will cost more with Canadian dollars. This is the way it is with all goods bought with Canadian currency vs US currency.

Question
use as a brow filler?
How would this look as a brow filler? I want to find a water-proof brow filler for humid/beach days so my brows won't smudge completely off. Anyone try this already? or have other product suggestions?

Definitely not as a brow filler. or any liquid liner. I also vote for Laura Mercier. Been using it for 5 yrs. i use the brow brush but the pencil works well for a more defined look.

probably not, as the product is extremely bold and inky-black. If you're looking for a Kat von D product though, leather (dark brown), and Lucifer (black) are in two of her palettes, and they both work pretty well.
Good luck :)

forget it. This product goes on really strong, and definitely looks like a liner. Go with a water-proof or smudge proof eyebrow pencil. I'd definitely reccomend either Laura Mercier or Estee Lauder - both products carry firm eyebrow pencils that are not likely to smudge.

I wouldn't recommend this as a brow filler. The tip is very fine and gives a lot of product, so with just a few strokes your eyebrows will have the "sharpie look".

I haven't used any color but black so I don't know about using it as an eyebrow filler. If you want a more natural look this would not be a good choice. But if you want a precise and painted brow this definitely lasts all day and goes on smooth.

I'm with tmommy...I have allergies that make my eyes a little teary at times. I only use this on my lid as well...but with a bit of wing at the outer corner. This liner disappears in those spots when my eyes are teary, leaving me with a 'spotty' look. I really wish it WERE more water-resistant!

Question
How can I get more of the liquid to come out of the brush upon application?
This liner is great, but for some reason i find that very little comes out of the brush tip, unless it "dab" the brush into the cap to convince more of the liquid to come out. Does anyone know how to get more to come out? I just got this product, its brand new.

Try placing the cap on and shaking it. You will hear the ball on the inside clicking. If it doesn't come out then the liner is defective. Take it back to a sephora store and exchange for a new one, you shouldn't have an issue with it.

I have noticed if you lay it across your eye using the "side" instead of the very tip you get more liquid. I don't know how you like your eyeliner, but doing it this way causes a bit thicker of a line, which I don't mind because that is how I wear mine.

It is really dark and matte when dried, and it has lasted me a really long time. I was worried because this style usually runs out fast, but I'd say this one lasts longer than average. I've had it for 4-5 months and it's still going. I don't wear it everday but probably at least three times a week.

Question
help with application
I know everyone raves about how easy it is to use this liner. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble. I'm a liquid liner novice and bought this to try an easier alternative. The problem is it goes on uneven. I don't manage to draw a continuous line, there are always gaps. Also, I manage to make the line on my inner corner and in the center thin but the outer corner invariably comes out much thicker, uneven and with gaps. Any suggestions? It will be greatly appreciated. (By the way, I usually draw my line with a brush and wet eyeshadow and I have no problem making a straight even line.)

I try to lay the whole tip completely flat above my lashes, not so much using the very end (the pointy part). It seems to make a straighter line, and without gaps that way. Then I use the very end of the tip to get the inner edges and to wing out the outer corners. If you have any gaps or uneven lines, I like to go in with Sephora's smudge brush and dip it into black eyeshadow--then carefully go over any mistakes with that, and it will help set it too.
Hope that helps some! Good luck and just keep playing :D

when i first started someone told me to aim for the eyelash. I know it sounds weird but it works. also helps to start from the center where it doesn't matter as much about the thickness and wait until last to do the ends. Try to do as much in one swipe once you get some practice to avoid clumps. You just need a lot of practice to get a steady hand.

Hold the outer corner of your eye. start from the inner corner n draw towards the outer..it'l take a little practice. the only problem is that it dries so quickly, you cant erase if u make a mistake. Hav some makeup remover..use a pointed qtip and erase where you"ve made the mistake. but overall I like this eyeliner because it stands the test of time and it doesnt smear.

I am a liquid liner pro but I completely understand your frustration. I took a moment to transition and I think it is because this is more of a felt-tip pen liner. I recommend trying to use the side of pen more than just the tip. I also give the pen a couple shakes before starting (or draw a little squiggle on your hand before applying) to make sure the coverage is even from the start. Don't push too hard or you'll have a thin center to the line with bolder outlinings. Don't push too light or you won't get an even line. Soon you will be a pro. You'll also soon be able to take advantage of the very fine tip to touch up or draw that tiny lash line when you get comfortable with the pen. Remember that with a liner brush, you are using more width. This is very tiny at the top so the side of the pen approach should put you back in your comfort zone. Good luck!
