It is 23$ CAD. The prices on the Sephora websites are never the CAD prices. To see the CAD price, just add it to your basket and go there and click on "Canadian Checkout". There you will see the price in CAD. It is bizzare because sometimes prices are almost the same (like for the Naked2 palette it is 50$ USD and 52,50$ CAD) and sometimes there is a BIG difference (for the Naked 1 palette, it is 48$ USD and 58$ CAD).

yes, it definitely is. I used to think buying the cheap stuff at the local store was better, but you definitely get so much more quality in application, look, and ease with this. Plus, I've worn it every day for 4 months straight and haven't even come close to running out!

Mine was $18. Also, Canadian rates don't transfer straight across to the USD. Another reason for your "inflated" price could be you didn't realize shipping was added to it.

I think this is a currency exchange issue. It is $18 US but will cost more with Canadian dollars. This is the way it is with all goods bought with Canadian currency vs US currency.

This actually dries a bit shiny. Not crazy shiny like the Urban Decay liquid liner, but it's definitely Not matte. Kat Von D's Autograph liquid liner in Puro Amor is the purest matte liquid liner I have ever used.

use as a brow filler?
How would this look as a brow filler? I want to find a water-proof brow filler for humid/beach days so my brows won't smudge completely off. Anyone try this already? or have other product suggestions?

Definitely not as a brow filler. or any liquid liner. I also vote for Laura Mercier. Been using it for 5 yrs. i use the brow brush but the pencil works well for a more defined look.

probably not, as the product is extremely bold and inky-black. If you're looking for a Kat von D product though, leather (dark brown), and Lucifer (black) are in two of her palettes, and they both work pretty well.
Good luck :)

forget it. This product goes on really strong, and definitely looks like a liner. Go with a water-proof or smudge proof eyebrow pencil. I'd definitely reccomend either Laura Mercier or Estee Lauder - both products carry firm eyebrow pencils that are not likely to smudge.

I wouldn't recommend this as a brow filler. The tip is very fine and gives a lot of product, so with just a few strokes your eyebrows will have the "sharpie look".

I haven't used any color but black so I don't know about using it as an eyebrow filler. If you want a more natural look this would not be a good choice. But if you want a precise and painted brow this definitely lasts all day and goes on smooth.

I'm with tmommy...I have allergies that make my eyes a little teary at times. I only use this on my lid as well...but with a bit of wing at the outer corner. This liner disappears in those spots when my eyes are teary, leaving me with a 'spotty' look. I really wish it WERE more water-resistant!

This vs. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

I was torn between the two so to test them out, I applied stila to my right eye and Kat Von D to my left eye (they looked the same). First, Stila was way easier to apply for an even cat eye. Second, Kat Von D started to wear off and smudge after 5 hours while Stila stayed put. Once I got home, I rinsed my face with just water and the Kat Von D began to run down my face (which is a con because its supposed to be waterproof)! Anyway, after testing them both out multiple times and through rainy days, itchy allergy eyes, etc.= STILA WINS!

I've used both, and I much prefer this one! The brush is better, and this lasts a lot longer (Stila faded VERY quickly on my lower lids). I also find the application to be easier, as you can go over spots without "erasing" them. That was another issue I had with Stila's liner.

i was also debating between the 2 before purchasing the Kat Von D eyeliner. the sales associate showed me & compared both eyeliner sample testers & said that because the Stila one is a felt/marker tip, it pills after repeated use, while the Kat Von D's brush tip does not.

You could go primer-less with this liner. It's really resilient and smudge-proof, and once the liner is dry the only way you are moving it is if you wipe it off with makeup remover. I've worn this liner on naker lids many times, and it always stays in place.

Question
why does my tattoo liner work and then dry out and then not work again for a while?
i recently bought this eyeliner a few days ago, and when i started to do my winged eyeliner it just stopped working, the applicator was completely dry and would not work for a long period of time. i want to know whether this is common or if someone could have just been using it a lot in the store.

Nope- I got 2 of these because I thought it was faulty or something I was doing. Its the actual liner and brush that dries out, so I completely switched to another brand for liquid liners. I was doing everything I should- stored it with the tip down, did not store it in too hot/cold temperatures, used it periodically, etc. Try Stilas liquid liner! Its the same except better...

If it works anything like the marker it's modeled after, you need to shake it before each use and store it flat. Hopefully, people weren't using it in-store! But it could have been stored wrong?

There is a pump to help get more of the liquid into the tip. Just push the cap gently on and off a few times (you can feel the resistance when you do this). I find that generally works. If it's really dry, I store it upright with the lid down for a few hours and that always works.

Sometimes I have to put the cap back on and shake it up, then try doing the line again. It's a hassle, but the liner is so easy to use and wears so well, it's worth it. Plus, make sure you put the cap back on tightly after each use, otherwise it will dry out.

All felt tipped pens must be stored with the felt tip facing down in a vertical position. This allows the liquid on the inside to drain into the felt tip for easy application. When felt pens are stored on their sides or with the tip facing up, the liquid will drain from the tip and the pen will appear "dried up." Hope this helps!

I have used this to draw a skinny line on my lower eyelid. With it being a liquid, it is always difficult go get a nice clean line without getting it all over your lashes...but once this is on, it stays on! Normally, when I line my lower eyelid, it tends to run and smudge but not with this liner! It is my favorite liner of all time!
