no, it's way too bright for a twelve year old. it would look like clown makeup for such a young kid.

im 12 and i have it its not for everyday but u could buy it for her its not as red as everyone says it is

The colour's a bit spotty at times and it has the potential of staining more than just lips if one's not careful. The colour is also very intense but fades quickly till just the inner rim of the lips are coloured.

I think it would be fine for a 12 year old for 'fun' but I wouldn't recommend having someone that young wearing a bright red lip stain. I would say if she's a Twilight fan there are better related things to gift her. This product borderlines on terrible even for the most skilled. I doubt she'd have much fun trying to get the colour to actually apply itself properly.

I would say it was fine, it does sting quiet a bit and doesnt plump much but it will probably make all her friends jealous!!!

For a 12 year old, probably not, considering the color gets pretty intense. But for her to have it as a collectors item, or maybe even to have someone help her apply it, it should be just fine!

This lipstain packs a serious bite! In September, Duwop is releasing a whole line of Twilight/New Moon products that would probably be better suited for her if you're hesitant about this Lip Venom. There is no doubt in my mine that Sephora will pick this line up--BUT, if you're interested, you can always call their hotline and ask :)

Depends on whether it's for every day use or just for goofing around. If it's for every day, I'd say no. I don't think the color is appropriate for a twelve-year-old. Remember, this is a STAIN. It won't just wipe off. Also, it does have a bit of a sting to it. If you do end up buying it, just be aware that she might not like the way it feels.

I wouldn't get it for her, I don't think it's age appropriate. I think it's more for the older vampire lovers. If it was a lip gloss, that one thing. But when you get into lip stain and plumper thats another. Maybe wait to get this for her when like Breaking Dawn comes out? Just a suggestion

It REALLY depends how it looks on her & how YOU FEEL when you see it. This is DuWop's Lip Venom formula that has a stain added to it from what I see & I've just turned 29 so I've had the chance to use the Original, Silver & Gold shimmer (FLash), Moon & 2nd Sin. ALL of them (besides 2nd Sin) have ingredients (cinnamon oil, etc.) that basically swell up your lips with irritation & cause redness (that "bee-stung" look) & that is how they "plump" along with causing a noticeable feeling of tingling on up to burning, depending on the person (you eventually get used to it though.) I'm NOT trying to ruin anybody's day or bash Twilight because I consider getting this for myself because I'm interested in the stain aspect (but reviews of unevenness have held me back) but be aware that not only will it cause lips to appear red on their own with increased circulation but also now have a "ruby" stain on top of that. The only thing you can really do is maybe go to the store yourself (so your daughter doesn't get excited early & let down) & try it yourself or watch the many, many girls bound to be testing it! They say you can make the stain's look more potent so really the color is going to be so hard to predict each time since she could apply it darker without even really meaning to & also you must be careful to not apply outside of the lipline or that will cause irritation/redness where it's not wanted. I'm not sure if this has helped you at all but Sephora has a really great return policy so you can return anything even once used. Maybe to give yourself an idea of what Lip Venom's effects are try one yourself without the stain to see what it's all about, maybe you'll both get a new beauty gift! Good luck:)

It's not appropriate for a 12 year-old to wear this on a daily basis, especially since it's a lip plumper and not a lip balm/gloss.

I'll have to go with no unless you want a 12-year-old to have red, plumped-up lips. Plus lip plumpers can sting (which is the point).

It plumps a little- but while it's wet it looks like it's a lot.

This doesnt plump my lips at all although I do feel a tingly cinnimon-y feeling.

You notice the tingly sensation, but honestly I didn't notice any plumping.
After you apply it and it has set, within a short time, it looks more like lip liner than lip stain. It has an oil base and that seems to help move it off the lips.

It adds about a medium plump. You wont look like you just got injections, but the plump look is still there!

It gives you a small amount of plump, but it looks nice, not over done. I love the amount of plump.

It is more of a stain though there is a slight shine to it. I always use a sunscreen under it & a lip balm in a similar color over it. If you apply them while the lip venom is wet-it will leave some color on the balm (if you use a nude or clear balm).

It is a combination of both. You can choose not to shake the bottle and dip it only in the clear part to get plump and shine, or dip on in the colour to get a bit of shine and an intense red stain. Or you can shake them and get a less intense red and nice shine.

It is more of a stain than lipgloss. I always have to put chapstick first, then a lipgloss over it. Test it out before wearing it out, learned the hard way.

It is a stain and a gloss. When the gloss wears off the stain is still there.

As the other answer, it's a stain. I suggest using a clear balm or other gloss/conditioner over it, as it does slightly dry your lips.

It appears to be vegan, the clear is water based the red is mineral oil based according to the tube the vial comes in, also viewing other sites it also has argan , avocado, and olive oils as well as vitamin E

"Cruelty-free" does not mean "vegan". If the ingredients list carmine as a possible ingredient (as the above answer stated), then it is not vegan. Carmine is Red 4 which is made from crushed bugs. I couldn't find the ingredients list even on the DuWop website, but to be safe I would stay away from this if you are vegan.

Yeah they are! They have the Twilight Venom Blush which is a fairly new product. It's basically just like the Twilight Venom, but instead of being a red color, it's a shimmering pink. I'm not sure if it tingles the same way, but since it's a DuWop product, I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

I don't think DuWop is adding anything specific for Twilight under their brand because Twilight Beauty was launched with the assistance of the founder of DuWop so anything "Twilight" has been going under that branding (TwilightBeauty.com). The only items worth purchasing in that line are the Lip Glosses, Lipstick and mascara. I found everything else not worth the price.

They added a pink color to their line. It looks like a nicer shade that this one, more subtle.

They now have a Twilight Blush, which is a pink shade.

There is the Twilight Venom and the Twilight Venom Blush. Thats all right now.

ummmmm dunno, just think its the pink or red lip venom for now...... i highly recommend the red!

It is not shimmery at all.

It's not as shimmery as Venom Flash, more shiny than shimmery.

to answer my own question about "shimmer" I personally DID see shimmer, it appeared red in color mixed with the stain or else it was just stained red by the stain. Perhaps the tester was messed up by someone accidentally introducing a shimmer into it with an unclean applicator but either way I applied this to my hand/wrist area & definitely saw shimmer in the product but it's not glitter so I'm positive it won't show on your lips.

It's quite Matte if you can get it to even out on your lips.

It's so pretty in the vial but it just looks like a stain on your lips--No shimmer comes out on your lips at all.

I noticed it stained the darkest only where my lips were ultra dry. I am not sure if it do well on ultra chapped lips. It may look splotchy.

Not conditioning at all. I find it to be extremely drying but I like it for the lip stain itself, not the gloss. After it dries I just throw on some clear lip gloss or balm that is hydrating.

This did not condition my lips at all. its a great stain for the color, but I had to use a gloss over it.

I found when I used this (even during winter) that my lips did not dry out like they usually do, so I think it's pretty conditioning.

It does have a lot of different oils in it like avocado and olive oil. And it has vitamin E. Personally my lips feel fine after using it. It doesn't dry mine out at all.

Yes. The red settles down to the bottom again. You can shake it a little to have more gloss than color then kept adjusting til you get the shade you would like.
