Questions & Answers for Clarisonic Mia(TM) Sonic Skin Cleansing System

Question
Can anyone suggest a good yet non drying cleanser to use with the clarisonic?
LUV it. can not imagine not using as skin just doesn;t feel as clean as it does after MIA, however skin is dry after, even with the included clarisonic cleanser. I had been using some samples of creams that may have had some postponed effect, yet still...Any suggestions on an anti aging or just a healthy simple non drying cleanser to use with this?

Not from Sephora- but you might find one of the Avene cleansers of use! They work brilliantly with this- remember, even if your cleanser doesn't froth up you can still use it and get results with this. Alternatively, there is a bliss cleanser (it's in a big blue pump bottle) which is excellent value for money and works just as well too! hth

Purity made Simple from Philosophy seems to be good to use in conjunction to the Clairisonic. They were actually selling a packaged deal on Sephora which included the regular Clairisonic system, purity made simple, and several other Philosophy products. The wash is gentle, but cleans impeccably.

I use Shiseido "Cle de Peau Beaute" cleanser with Clarisonic. It is $60 and lasts for many months. It cleanse your skin well but does not make your skin dry at all.

Question
What kind of charger?
I was looking at buying the regular sized one, but this one is cheaper and seems easier to travel with and hold so I though about buying the Mia. But, does this one still have the little charger stand that you set the clarisonic in and it charges it, not just a plug in one?

No, it just comes with the pLink charger, no stand. Not to big of a deal for me. It is nice and compact and saving almost $50 is always nice.

The Mia has a plug in charger not a stand. You plug in the charger and attach the magnet head to the bottom of the Mia. It just snaps on! Very portable.

Question
What does the Charger for WorldWide Use translate to?
Does the charger for worldwide use automatically acclimatize itself for changes in voltage like a phone charger, or do you still need a converter and a adapter?

From what I can tell from the picture and description (my Mia is in the post right now!), all you need is the adaptor to change the pins/prongs in the plug.

ps - a phone charger that is not "universal" or "international" cannot be used outside of its voltage. I tried to charge my (American) cell phone when in England and blew the fuse of my charger and nearly set the house on fire! Now whenever I travel to England I use the car charger!

Price is a factor and so is size. The smaller one is easier for kids in dorms to carry around and its better for travel

Question
Sold in Canada?
I wanted to buy this product online but it says it's "Canada Restricted" (meaning they won't ship to Canada). In the past this has happened with a couple products, however they were still available in Canadian stores - just not online. Is this the case with the Clarisonic Mia? Can you buy it in Canadian Sephora stores?

Thanks!

I live in Ottawa and I know they have this product in stock, so I imagine it should be in stock in the Toronto store. If not, they will probably be getting it in soon, and you can give them your name and number and ask them to call you when it arrives.

Question
Can the Mia be used for body too?
I'm torn. I want the Mia because it's smaller, less expensive and would mostly use for my face (sensitive skin). However, I keep looking at the regular Clarisonic because it has the cradle charger and more than one speed for using on body. Any advice?

It can be used on the body no problem. The difference I'm seeing between the two is how it charges and the size of the handle on each model. They take the same size brush. I've used it for both face and body. Works great!!

i have only used the mia, so i dont know about the 2 speed, but i cant imagine you would ever need anything more than just the one speed, certainly enough power, any more might be 2 much, unless you use it on your feet or other body parts
