This concealer will cover your blemish, but at the same time, underneath it dries out the blemish. I notice after using it at night, the blemish kind of just dries up and peels off. It may increase the dryness around the blemish are but I don't know because I have combination skin not dry. Hope this helps!

Too drying for "dry" skin. While it does help with acne prone skin - if you are already using a spot treatment or something for ance this will be too drying!

If you have dry (not oily) acne prone skin, I would look for something else. This product is thick and drying, it would work well to clear up spot acne, but if you're planning on using it all over your face I would recommend against it. Instead I would go for a spot treatment and use concealer over that. Or try Neutrogena skin clearing concealer. It's cheap, but it works and it's way less drying.

I would not recommend it for extra dry skin. It will make it too obvious that you're wearing makeup. It makes my combo skin a little flaky if i spread it around too much.

You can use this concealer to cover blemishes on dry skin. Apply after moisturizer by patting into skin where needed. The formula is thick and creamy, so a little goes a long way. It's better to begin with a drop, wait for it to dry, and then apply another thin layer on top if you need more coverage to keep it from getting cakey.

It you get the occasional red blemish or pimple, it's been to get the corrective green color instead of a skin tone. I usually get make up in medium tone, but the colors clinique offers don't quite match my skin tone. Best option is green!

The green is more sheer than the other shades... I purchased this is Shade 02 (medium) and it covers red acne SUPER well, because even the skin-colored shades have a slight tint of green to them (it's not noticeable until you consider how well it's able to cover red acne and scarring!)

If you wear foundation that has decent coverage, then the green color corrector would work best underneath to neutralize redness. If you don’t use foundation, or have a lighter coverage tinted moisturizer, a flesh toned concealer will help to cover on it’s own. I feel like you'd have to use a ton of it for all over coverage - acne skin. i didn't have very good luck just trying to cover one pimple. i guess it would work if the blemish wasnt raised out of the skin. i'd suggest taking a closer look at your diet and exercise rather than trying to cover the acne.

Is this okay to use on undereye circles?

answer 1
It's not good for undereye circles. It has greenish-blueish undertones to it which is good for covering up acne, but not good for under your eyes. Also, the salicylic, while in a concentration gentle enough for the rest of your face, would be too harsh for the delicate skin under your eyes and could dry it out or irritate it. If I were you, I would go for a concealer that has pinkish undertones and is not formulated for treating acne.

Active ingredient is salicylic acid (1%). Lots of inactive ingredients including stearic acid, caffeine, hydroxydecanoic acid. I think the ingredients themselves would work well for acne, but it is a very thick consistency (like a foundation creme stick if you've ever tried one of those, but in tube form). It's a bit difficult to blend, but if you're willing to take the time, it will probably cover as well as heal your acne. I have it myself and hate the consistency so I never use it, but the ingredients check out for acne fighting power.

Question
Is this a sort of mattifying concealer that has a "clay-like" consistency?
I formerly used "Disaster Cream" by Charles of the Ritz which was absolutely the best for my oily skin, but of course as soon as you find something that really works, they discontinue it. I'm looking for something that has a sort of dry clay-like base that I can dab on my oily zones and smooth it with water. I always hated the cakieness of any foundation I tried, but that CR felt and looked very natural and light and helped with the oil.

I have very oily skin and use this on breakouts. I've never tried it on my Tzone areas as a primer, but it does dry well. You squeeze it out as a liquid. I apply mine with a tiny brush. It dries fast and doesn't smear when I apply mineral makeup with a brush.

In my opinion, this concealer is a mix between a cream and a liquid when you begin to apply it. Then when it starts to dry it kind of sets up like a clay would. I think its creamy because of the full coverage it provides but the acne medication in it causes it to dry on your face to really penetrate the blemishes and heal them. I'm not familiar with the product you're talking about to be able to compare the two, but I have an oily t zone as well and this stuff helps to control that. It by no means gets rid of the oil but it makes it less noticeable.

A: I do not have oily skin but I do get breakouts in my t-zone frequently. I've only been using this for a couple of days and my blemishes are already clearing up, while also staying hidden! It does not have a clay-like feel, however. I would say it has a more similar consistency to a tinted moisturizer - not too think, but not too liquidy either. It glides on nicely and is buildable if you want heavier coverage.

The tube is tiny, just 10 ml but you only need a VERY small amount to cover blemishes. It's a bit overpriced for the amount you get, but I haven't found anything else that works as well as this does.

It is 10ml. Fairly small. But you need less than a dab each time. Even a quarter of a dab is too much. What I do is press out the cream and let is suck back in on release. I use the remaining concealer on the mouth of the tube and it's more than enough for covering a couple zits. I also use the tip of the concelar brush for this.
