Your hair sounds JUST LIKE mine; I have the best thing that's helped my hair condition/ routine and I hope you'll be liberated like I recently was. I used LivingProof shampoo/conditioner (just a bit, but daily) and have never been happier with the results. I leave the shower and put the slightest leave-in (abba or even a bit of hand lotion; your serum would be fine.. whatever's leftover :) ) to detangle, then let air-dry. Somehow this shampoo/conditioner makes my hair look less damaged and more spiral-wavy/dense. I just take my crown hair and divide it into four horizontal sections, and curl-iron those sections FORWARD. This sounds odd, but when I comb my fingers through, it blends with my UNTOUCHED rest of hair. Until two weeks ago, I did just what I hear you are doing; torturing your hair to get it to look thicker/healthier by blow-drying (40 minutes!!). Now I literally wash, airdry, take 3 minutes to curl just the top, rake-with-fingers, spray with flexible finishing spray (livingproof or Fekkai), and GO!!! Now I can walk my dog instead of mess with my wacky coiffe, which, no matter how much time I spent, looked confused. THIS SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER COMBO is like a hairstyle in a bottle. GOOD LUCK!

I think you should try one of the value sets Living Proof offers...including the shampoo, conditioner and styling CREAM. It smooths the hair and found it to work great w/hot iron...and also the formula supposedly repels dirt and oil so you would not have to shampoo daily. You may not even need the serums, etc.

This stuff is great if your hair is dry and frizzy because it actually moisturizes your hair versus just coating it with silicone like alot of the cheaper brands do. I can also say that paul mitchell the original conditioner is really good.

I love this conditioner. It makes my hair feel like silk, and a little goes a long way. I've also re-purchased the shampoo (bought the travel size both times), but I had problems with hair loss when using the shampoo. I purchased the shampoo again because it drastically reduces frizz, and the texture of my hair was awesome on the days when I tried the shampoo and conditioner together (even if I forgot my styling products), but you may want to try just the tiny bottle of shampoo first in case you have the same problem with it.

Disclaimer though: I have a gluten-sensitivity, and there is wheat protein in the shampoo. Also, I have problems with hair loss from PCOS, so it may not have been the shampoo at all. Just be mindful, with any new hair product you're using, of how much hair you notice on your brush once you make the switch.

You should definitely try the Living Proof products: shampoo, conditioner and styling products appropriate for your hair. The shampoo is sulfate-free, but still lathers. It doesn't strip hair and all of the products help tame the frizz without weighing it down. Try the travel size of each...I'm sure you'll end up buying the full-size products, like I did!

You sound like me-exactly. You should try this shampoo ,you will not regret it! Go for it!

I highly recommend Frederic Fekkai products. Easy to use, great results and doesn't weigh hair down. Just the right amount of moisture without the greasy results that so many others give you. I use the "pink" kind. I've tried all their products except the really expensive overnight hair mask. Good luck!

Well All I can tell you is that I have always been frustrated with having to deal with frizz from the weather and I bought the shampoo, conditioner and styling cream. When I use it and weather conditions are such that I would normally have alot of frizz on my sides, I either dont have any or very little. I think it may be that I havae to keep experimenting with the amount of styling product I put in - maybe need more. But I have color treated hair which is shoulder length. I wash my hair every other day. Have been very happy with these products and would buy again. hope thathelps

I've been using this stuff for a couple weeks on my dyed black hair and I haven't noticed any fading. The only difference is it feels smoother and doesn't get jacked up from all the humidity! I love this stuff.

No it will not. It is a natural product and is amazing for chemically treated hair. I have treated hair and it works great!

I have colored treated hair and has not striped or faded my color at all, I would say it is very safe for chemically treated and colored hair.

I haven't noticed any damage. I've been using this conditioner for about a month now, and my hair is actually in better condition than it was before. I don't think there's enough alcohol in it to actually cause any damage.

I have fine, dry hair and have not experienced any damage to my hair. I often use the shampoo and conditioner without the cream and find that it is soft & conditioned enough. Cetyl alcohol is often found as an emollient and humectant in skin moisturizers and should not be confused with other types of alcohol such as isopropyl or rubbing alcohol which can be drying. No sulfite means no drying out of your hair. I have very dry, fine, curly hair. This stuff works. (and I have tried everything)

actually, the only alcohol in this product is cetyl alcohol, a fatty alcohol that is actually very very good for moisturizing your hair.

I asked the exact same question. It's my understanding that alcohol does dry out the hair. Mine is chemically treated and frizzy. I think it's trial and error for everyone. Ideally you would not wash your hair daily, which helps to eliminate the concern of drying your hair out. This product made my hair feel dirty, so, I needed to wash it daily. If you do not have this problem with the product and you can skip shampooing a few times a week, I don't think the alcohol in this product will be a problem for you. I have met others who love this product. But , if you need to wash daily I would switch to a product created for daily use. Hope this helps some...good luck

I have the same type of hair, and I use Keratin treatments (as well as Brazillian Blowouts). This shampoo and conditioner left my hair dry and tangly. It did smell good though.

My hair has a natural wave to it that's unruly without this system. I can have straight frizz free hair for up to four days between washes when I use the entire system(shampoo conditioner leave in conditioner and styling gel).. The gel is great!!! You should give this system a go.. So much better than Wen and others I've tried. Good Luck! Hope this helps

I can't say for sure whether this'll keep your hair straight, but I think it's worth trying. My hair isn't curly, but it can be very wavy. When I use this & the shampoo & blow dry w/ a round brush, my hair looks nice & straight. And I like that it doesn't make my hair look flat

I'm not sure if this is oil-free, but I can tell you that I've had issues in the past with certain shampoos and conditioners exacerbating breakouts on my face and causing me acne on my neck, decolletage, and shoulders. This conditioner is creamy and goes a long way (I have waist-length hair, and somehow the bottle lasts me for months -- no other conditioner has done this.), but, regardless of whatever is in it, it does not break me out. And I have skin so sensitive that even using unscented hand lotions will worsen breakouts on my face (from the tiny bit that I touch my face). Hopefully, this conditioner won't cause you any problems either.

The technology behind the living proof line is "teflon", not oil, so DO TRY THESE PRODUCTS; THEY ROCK/WORK!!!

I would suggest a deep conditioning once a week & Frizz Control on the other days. Also, try washing hair every third day so you won't have to use heat styling every day-furthering damage.
Living Proof does carry a hair 'Mask" which works well for deeper conditioning.
