Living Proof No Frizz Conditioner

What it is:A revolutionary conditioner featuring the first new antifrizz technology in over 30 years. What it does:This formula weightlessly hydrates the hair, effectively blocks humidity, and enhances shine for truly sleek locks. Its key ingredient, PolyfluoroEster, creates an invisible shield on the hair to lock in moisture-proof smoothness and repel dirt and oil, so you can go longer between washes to break the frizz and damage cycle. What else you need to know:Developed for all hair types, sulfate- and silicone-free No Frizz Conditioner works best in conjunction with No Frizz Shampoo and stylers. For optimal results, treat your hair to the complete regimen—the longer you use the system, the more resistant the hair is to frizz-causing humidity. Living Proof No Frizz Conditioner is an Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner.

I've been using this stuff for a couple weeks on my dyed black hair and I haven't noticed any fading. The only difference is it feels smoother and doesn't get jacked up from all the humidity! I love this stuff.

My hair is colored and with highlights...I used the shampoo, conditioner and styling cream today for the first time. The color was only enhanced due to the smoothness of the hair and the added shine!
I'm ordering the full sizes as I really, really love the feel of my hair.

Your hair sounds JUST LIKE mine; I have the best thing that's helped my hair condition/ routine and I hope you'll be liberated like I recently was. I used LivingProof shampoo/conditioner (just a bit, but daily) and have never been happier with the results. I leave the shower and put the slightest leave-in (abba or even a bit of hand lotion; your serum would be fine.. whatever's leftover :) ) to detangle, then let air-dry. Somehow this shampoo/conditioner makes my hair look less damaged and more spiral-wavy/dense. I just take my crown hair and divide it into four horizontal sections, and curl-iron those sections FORWARD. This sounds odd, but when I comb my fingers through, it blends with my UNTOUCHED rest of hair. Until two weeks ago, I did just what I hear you are doing; torturing your hair to get it to look thicker/healthier by blow-drying (40 minutes!!). Now I literally wash, airdry, take 3 minutes to curl just the top, rake-with-fingers, spray with flexible finishing spray (livingproof or Fekkai), and GO!!! Now I can walk my dog instead of mess with my wacky coiffe, which, no matter how much time I spent, looked confused. THIS SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER COMBO is like a hairstyle in a bottle. GOOD LUCK!

I think you should try one of the value sets Living Proof offers...including the shampoo, conditioner and styling CREAM. It smooths the hair and found it to work great w/hot iron...and also the formula supposedly repels dirt and oil so you would not have to shampoo daily. You may not even need the serums, etc.

This stuff is great if your hair is dry and frizzy because it actually moisturizes your hair versus just coating it with silicone like alot of the cheaper brands do. I can also say that paul mitchell the original conditioner is really good.

I love this conditioner. It makes my hair feel like silk, and a little goes a long way. I've also re-purchased the shampoo (bought the travel size both times), but I had problems with hair loss when using the shampoo. I purchased the shampoo again because it drastically reduces frizz, and the texture of my hair was awesome on the days when I tried the shampoo and conditioner together (even if I forgot my styling products), but you may want to try just the tiny bottle of shampoo first in case you have the same problem with it.

Disclaimer though: I have a gluten-sensitivity, and there is wheat protein in the shampoo. Also, I have problems with hair loss from PCOS, so it may not have been the shampoo at all. Just be mindful, with any new hair product you're using, of how much hair you notice on your brush once you make the switch.

You should definitely try the Living Proof products: shampoo, conditioner and styling products appropriate for your hair. The shampoo is sulfate-free, but still lathers. It doesn't strip hair and all of the products help tame the frizz without weighing it down. Try the travel size of each...I'm sure you'll end up buying the full-size products, like I did!

I highly recommend Frederic Fekkai products. Easy to use, great results and doesn't weigh hair down. Just the right amount of moisture without the greasy results that so many others give you. I use the "pink" kind. I've tried all their products except the really expensive overnight hair mask. Good luck!

Well All I can tell you is that I have always been frustrated with having to deal with frizz from the weather and I bought the shampoo, conditioner and styling cream. When I use it and weather conditions are such that I would normally have alot of frizz on my sides, I either dont have any or very little. I think it may be that I havae to keep experimenting with the amount of styling product I put in - maybe need more. But I have color treated hair which is shoulder length. I wash my hair every other day. Have been very happy with these products and would buy again. hope thathelps

Question
Does it work??
I have naturally curly hair, and the only way I've been able to make my hair stay straight when the weather isn't cooperating or if there is a lot of humidity, is with a Keratin Treatment. I'd like to find something that's almost as effective in a shampoo/conditioner without having to go to the salon every 4 months. Is this product a good one or is it not worth it??

My hair is very frizzy. I used to get Keratin treatments also. But I have a beautiful built in pool in my yard and going in without getting my hair wet was really no fun. I decided to go frizzy for the summer so I can enjoy the pool. I have to say this product (I use shampoo, conditions and styling crème) does help a lot. Not as good as Keratin but it does work. I only use it on humid days.

This is a good product for frizz, not to straighten your hair.
I did the Keratin treatments for 2 years before, I got fed up, and decided that it was no way to live. This product has tamed, my otherwise unmanageable fly-aways, but still keeping the integrity of my hair (wavy). If you're looking to tame the curls, then yes, the no frizz shampoo and conditioner followed by the leave in treatment should work.

My hair is coarse, thick, gone through several Keratin Complex (coopala) rounds and latin-american, before using this product if I wanted my hair down, it had to be blown dry and then flat ironed, since this product I have not blown dry or flat ironed my hair.

Yes it is! I live in hot humid Florida and have suffered with frizz for years! But not any more. I use the no frizz shampoo and conditioner. I have recently discovered their Prime Style Extender. It is beyond Amazing! Before the Prime Style Extender I used the Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum. Truly amazing as well at leaving hair frizz free, sleek, and healthy looking without the heavy weight of oils or residue.

My hair has a natural wave to it that's unruly without this system. I can have straight frizz free hair for up to four days between washes when I use the entire system(shampoo conditioner leave in conditioner and styling gel).. The gel is great!!! You should give this system a go.. So much better than Wen and others I've tried. Good Luck! Hope this helps

I can't say for sure whether this'll keep your hair straight, but I think it's worth trying. My hair isn't curly, but it can be very wavy. When I use this & the shampoo & blow dry w/ a round brush, my hair looks nice & straight. And I like that it doesn't make my hair look flat

Hi there- No, in my opinion, i do not believe so , this is like a daily treatment, more of a maintenance, like for one night out to help with the frizz. it is nowhere as powerful as the Keratin. Trust me I have extremely curly and coarse hair and I have tried it all. Sephora does sell a Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner, check it out I am not sure fo the name but I know it is suposed to be very good!

Question
Is this better than a conditioner that's alcohol free?
I have long, chemically treated hair. I try to get products with as less alcohol or as earth friendly as possible. The no frizz styling treatment works great-I love it. There's alcohol but lower down on the list of ingredients than on the conditioner. Will the alcohol content in the conditioner do any damage?

I haven't noticed any damage. I've been using this conditioner for about a month now, and my hair is actually in better condition than it was before. I don't think there's enough alcohol in it to actually cause any damage.

I have fine, dry hair and have not experienced any damage to my hair. I often use the shampoo and conditioner without the cream and find that it is soft & conditioned enough. Cetyl alcohol is often found as an emollient and humectant in skin moisturizers and should not be confused with other types of alcohol such as isopropyl or rubbing alcohol which can be drying. I hope this helps.

I asked the exact same question. It's my understanding that alcohol does dry out the hair. Mine is chemically treated and frizzy. I think it's trial and error for everyone. Ideally you would not wash your hair daily, which helps to eliminate the concern of drying your hair out. This product made my hair feel dirty, so, I needed to wash it daily. If you do not have this problem with the product and you can skip shampooing a few times a week, I don't think the alcohol in this product will be a problem for you. I have met others who love this product. But , if you need to wash daily I would switch to a product created for daily use. Hope this helps some...good luck

Question
How to decide between No Frizz combo or Restore Combo
I have a thick head of fine to medium hair; warm brown/auburn with caramel highlights, medium length (3" below shoulder) with a few layers; very wavy when air-dried and straight when blow-dried & ironed. Side-swept bangs that I always blow-dry after washing hair but have a mind of their own in humidity - often looking like the "Bob's Big-Boy" icon of past.. My hair has been single processed every four weeks plus subtle highlights 4X/year for about 15 yrs. Am over 50 and noticing huge lack of shine plus damage. Have used many, many products to control frizz, repair damage, protect from heat, hold style (especially bangs) but still looking for the right products. Wash/style hair every other day. Can't decide if Restore or No Frizz is the way to go with this line. I would really love some shine again!

I would suggest a deep conditioning once a week & Frizz Control on the other days. Also, try washing hair every third day so you won't have to use heat styling every day-furthering damage.
Living Proof does carry a hair 'Mask" which works well for deeper conditioning.

I hope this helps.

I have been using V05 in the tube, it seems to curb the big head, but my hair is still full. The main reason I use it is it gets rid of the friz and it only takes a very very small amount. The only think I don't like is the scent but if I spritz a spray it covers it up.

I'm not sure if this is oil-free, but I can tell you that I've had issues in the past with certain shampoos and conditioners exacerbating breakouts on my face and causing me acne on my neck, decolletage, and shoulders. This conditioner is creamy and goes a long way (I have waist-length hair, and somehow the bottle lasts me for months -- no other conditioner has done this.), but, regardless of whatever is in it, it does not break me out. And I have skin so sensitive that even using unscented hand lotions will worsen breakouts on my face (from the tiny bit that I touch my face). Hopefully, this conditioner won't cause you any problems either.
