Questions & Answers for Buxom Lashliner

Question
Does this product thicken your lashes?
I have a mother who wants to try lash thickening treatments, but they're very expensive. I was wondering if this had any noticeable lash thickening/lengthening effects.

No but it does make your lashes seem thicker because you can apply it right to the base of the lashes. With this, some buxom mascara and a good eyelash curler, no thickening treatment needed!

YES, THEY REALLY ARE ALL THE SAME, THE GEL EYELINERS. BUT ONE COLOR OF THIS, THE BLUE VELVET, IS LIKE NOTHING ELSE. DEEP AND INKY BUT THE BLUE/GREEN IS ENOUGH TO MAKE YOUR EYES POP.

No not at all. It's thicker, but runnier (for lack of better explanation, it seems slipper when applying). I bought this instead of MAC's which I've used for years, and now I'm going back to MAC.

I use both the Fluidline by MAC and the Buxom Lashliner and I really like them both. The Buxom goes on very easily, as well as the Fluidline, however I felt that this one didn't last as long as the MAC. I wore it one day to work and when the day was up it had started to fade a little, whereas the Fluidline lasts me all day long. On the other hand, the Buxom is supposed to promote healthy lash growth. I haven't seen any improvements in my lashes but I don't use it every day. All in all, they're both great liners but I'll use the Fluidline if I know I'm going to be out the entire day and the Buxom if I know I have time to get back home for some touch ups. XOXO!

I also used to use MAC's blacktrack eyeliner but now this is all I use because it doesn't dry out, goes on easier, and stays put longer. So I completely recommend this product to anyone who uses MAC now.

This eyeliner is more of a cream than a gel, I've used it on my bottom lash line and it's worked fine. You can smudge it before it sets in if you want a smokey look, or leave it nice and crisp.

I use this under my eyes. I use an angled brush to run a thin line, then use an eyeliner blending brush to soften it with water and a shadow. (Straight black is too harsh for me.) I haven’t had any problems with it traveling.

The Bare Escentuals Buxom Lashliner Brush is the best brush for applying this lashliner. According to the product description, "Dip into Buxom Lashliner and apply along roots of lashes for instant conditioning benefits, lash enhancement, and long-term nourishing effects for lusciously longer, fuller-looking lashes." The brush even comes with its own case!

Question
Will this change the color of my eyes?
A similar product on the market called Latise is said to make lashes longer, thicker, and fuller but they also say that it has something in it that could put brown pigment into your actual eye. Basically it could turn my green eyes brown over time :-( Will this do the same thing?

The ingredient in Latisse that can potentially change eye color is bimatoprost, which is not used in Buxom Lash Liner.

A little side-note about bimatoprost and Latisse: it was originally used in prescription drops for people with glaucoma, who incidentally found that it increased the growth of their lashes; eventually they decided to market it as a lash growth treatment. Latisse is brushed onto the lids, not dropped directly into the eyes, so the bimatoprost has an even smaller chance of affecting eye color. So far I don't believe anyone using Latisse has reported a darker iris (and it was only a small percentage of the glaucoma drop-users to begin with).

Sorry to get off-topic, I just thought people might be curious about that :-)

This product is not known to change eye color at all. I believe that Latisse is a prescription product and thus could have harsh side effects like change in eye pigmentation & the Buxom Lashliner, being a cosmetic product, does not have those ingredients that would cause eye pigmentation change.

answer 3
This product is actually nothing like Latisse which is a prescription-only, medically approved, chemical-based product to make your eyelashes grow. Latisse is basically like Rogaine for your eyelashes. Buxom Lash Liner is just a high-quality eyeliner infused with vitamins and minerals that are supposed to condition your lashes to make them thicker/healthier....like conditioner does for the hair on your head. So, long story short, Buxom Lashliner (like any other eyeliner on the market) will NOT stain your eyes. Good luck!

Oh, I have tried them all and the BEST brush is the Sephora IT angled eyeliner. It's handle is blue. It is bent/angled so easy to hold, the brush is small enough to get a tight line on one side, a little fatter on the other, and not too expensive. I am NOT a fan of Sephora brushes, but this one is good.

Use the Buxom lashliner brush; it's great! Not sure about water-resistance. My guess is that if it is water-resistant, they would make that claim in the description. Maybe someone else can help you out w/that part.

This product does not come with a brush but Bare Escantuals has created a special brush for this product. My personal favorite as far as eye brushes go is the Kat Von D set. There is a brush in there that is perfect for applying gel/cream eyeliner.

This product does not come with a brush. As far as what kind of brush goes, I would look into an angled liner brush (Sephora's #15) or a pointed eyeliner brush (Sephora's #17).

There's something in the product that slightly irritates my eyes. It isn't totally unbearable, and it isn't noticeable, but be very cautious. I'm normally not easily irritated by products, but if you are, then stay away.
