NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara

What it is:A volumizing mascara. What it does:This lush, vitamin-enriched mascara boosts volume and curl with every stroke. The signature "honeycomb" fibers of the brush are designed for maximum product pickup and smooth, even distribution that coats every lash without smudging or flaking. Questions & Answers for NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara

Contact Lens Safe?
Lately my contact lenses have been bothering me. I think it's because of my mascara. Is this gentle enough for contact wearers?

I wear rigid gas permeable lenses and have sensitive eyes. Wearing this mascara doesn't bother my eyes, but removing it does! It is very hard to remove so I typically have to scrub my lashes with waterproof remover to get it off. Unfortunately, that usually means that wearing it isn't worth the effort to remove it!

I think it might be good because I have very sensitive eyes and this never bothers them even when I have it on for a long time. And it won't flake in eyes which causes most of the discomfort for me.

answer 8
You'll have to be careful wearing this with contact lenses. I've had problems with this irritating my eyes, but it's such a wonderful mascara that I made it work. Take out your contacts before applying the mascara, wait until it dries, and then put them back in. Do the same when using makeup remover to remove the mascara. That will greatly cut back on your irritation.

Tip: Make sure that your not sharing your mascara, or using a friends, because that can also cause irritation.

It's a fine mascara but I wouldn't buy it again. I didn't really get much volume or length. It did slide on nicely and didn't clump up. It still gave me racoon eyes, but I've had worse mascaras.
If you have dry skin it might not give you racoon eyes.

I started using this mascara 1 week after having lasik surgery - when your eyes are SUPER sensitive and had no issue. So yes, I would say it's gentle. Since it doesn't flake or run, none of the usual 'gunk' ends up in your eyes!

Good luck!

NARS Volumizing vs. Lengthening?
Which mascara holds a CURL better, the NARS Volumizing mascara or the NARS Lengthening mascara? My lashes point straight down and after I curl them and put on mascara, they usually fall flat, so a good curl holding mascara is key for me!

I've never used the lengthening formula but the volumizing formula holds a curl most of the day. I, too, have stick-straight lashes.

The Volumizing! It's a great mascara overall and definitely holds a curl really really well.

DON'T GO FOR ANY OF THEM!! They DON'T deliver what they promise, and it's almost impossible to remove it. I fell for it because I love NARS, but their mascara is just awful.

I haven't tried the lengthening one but I have been using the volumizing one for a while now and it holds curl very well. It's better than any other, leaves my lashes exactly where I curled them.

answer 8
It has been my experience that the volumizing mascara holds curl until you remove it at the end of the day.

I have the same problem. I've never tried the lengthening, but I currently use the volumizing one. The Volumizing mascara will definitely hold your curl EXACTLY how you have curled your lashes. You will not have a problem with them falling flat.
