YES!!! It's so nice to use after you put your top coat dries. It will make your cuticles look so healthy and complete your manicure, which is great for me because I usually paint my own nails and this creme helps keep costs down.

you can use it over nail polish. i use seche vite top coat and never had the creme dull the shine or affect color in any way.

I have nail polish on probably 75% of the time and this product works just as well with or without nail polish. If you're looking to strengthen and condition your actual nails then I would put this on bare nails at night. Other than that though, this product works great on your cuticles with or without nail polish!

It will still nourish and condition the cuticles but I doubt that it would penetrate into the nail base, although who knows...I mostly use it for my cuticles, so nail polish is not an obstacle!

I would actually recommend applying nail polish first, since its a cuticle treatment rather than nail treatment. Since the cream is oil based, even a little drop on your nail will prevent your nail polish sticking to your nail properly.
I usually do my nail routine first(base coat, nail polish, top coat), let it try and then apply layer of Dior cream onto ur cuticles massaging it in for a few seconds. Cream is a little sticky so i would suggest applying the cream while you r watching TV( my preference). Or sometimes i apply the cream before going to bed after i am done with my face cleaning/moisturizing routine

it's a scent reminescent of cosmetics that were made in the 60's and 70's. I find it very pleasant. It's a sort of waxy scent, oh my gosh, it's so hard to describe! Have you ever smelled an old lipstick that had a sort of waxy scent? It's along those lines. It's not floral, not sweet, it's unique! It's very pleasant!!

It's not a strong smell at all. Not good or bad...... sort of smells like lipstick my Mother use to use a long time ago. I have read that some people have used this on their lips......

Dior Nail Crème smells lovely. It has a Crayon-like scent. It does not smell fruity or flowery. It is simply a light, waxy scent reminiscent of Crayola Crayons. I must emphasize that this is a very light scent, so even if for some reason your nose doesn’t like it, it is very light.

Hi there, I think it's a matter of opinion! Personally, I think the smell is weird but not terrible. I can't say that I can compare it to any other smell! It's a bit unique! I think this cream is over-rated.

to me it smells like a really high end makeup counter. it has a hint of apricot, but it's not really a sweet apricotty smell ... it's more like the essence of apricot added to high quality makeup. this product also contains beeswax and (again) to me, it has a hint of that sweet beeswax candle smell. i'd say the sweetness of the scent comes from the beeswax and the apricot is an undertone.

Smells like a perfume-y apricot scent. I think it smells great, much better than other cuticle creams I've tried!

I have used this nail creme for over 20 years. It is supposed to be thick and tacky looking and feeling. I have occasionally purchased jars that look funky, like the ingredients have separated or something. I went ahead and used it anyway, with no adverse effects and no reduction in the effectiveness of the creme.

Lanoliin, water, parafin, mineral oil, glycerin, beeswax, soybean protein, propylene glycol, sorbic acid, aluminum hydroxide, geranol, sodium dehyroacetate, etc. Color dyes: red 30 lake and yellow 5 lake. Parfum fragrance. It has a very faint fragrance. This is a partial list, but I didn't see formaldehyude as an ingredient.

I am sensitive too, can't wear nail polish anymore. this is extremely gentle and does all it claims to do. DO use it regularly as it says.

Nail polish essentially needs something oil-less and grease-less to properly stick to... meaning that this cream should probably not be applied on the nail with the intention of putting nail polish on soon after. My advice to you would be to 1.) use this cream the night before you plan to paint your nails so the product has time to penetrate and do its job, or 2.) use this cream only on your cuticles and swipe a Q-tip in some nail polish remover to get rid of any cream or residue on your actual nail. That way your cuticle is moisturized, but your nail isn't.

Only use it at night. You can't apply nail polish the same time.

I don't believe that you could put it on directly before polish as it is quite thick and would affect any product put over it immediately after application.

I wouldn't use this product before applying nail polish because I think the greasy/tacky consistency might affect the polish adherence. Instead, I would suggest you apply this product after the polish is dry.

This does not have a texture to it; it's just a thick product. I rub the product in well enough that the pink color disappears and then I paint my nails right over it.

The cream is pretty thick, so I'd put this on the day after a manicure actually. Otherwise you might risk not getting the full coverage with your nail polish.

It's really quite thick and doesn't absorb fast, so I wouldn't put nail polish on without swping nails with an acetone soaked cotton first to remove the greasy residue.

It sounds like yours looked just fine when you first opened it! I like that it sticks to the foil top when I first open it because then I can use the product that's on the foil for the first couple of days instead of what's in the pot. If it's hard or crusty, I would take it back, but it sounds like yours was creamy and pliable.

mine always looks like what you described. as you use it, you'll notice that the edges are dark and center lighter pink. i've never noticed that it affected the efficacy of the product. sephora's photo looks like someone mixed it up so it would be unicolor.

When I first opened the product it also stuck to the aluminum seal, but this is due to its extra thick gloopy type texture. Mine was a little darker orange than in the image but it worked just great! It goes on really thick, but I use it at night right before bed, then I add my hand cream. It seeps into my cuticles and I awake with much softer fingertips and nails! Its good stuff!

Usually, in the beginning it's mostly light orange and creamy, but with time, it thickens and darkens in colour. In any case, it doesn't affect the quality and the effect of the product one bit. Had mine for almost two years and it worked the same throughout.

Actually mine came exactly the way yours did. The top layer after you've opened the cap does look more dark orange than peach.
I have been using mine for the past 2 weeks. Most of the dark orange top layer is gone and my cuticles do feel and look amazing. So maybe its just cream's reaction to the foil that protects the cream from going all over the place.

it's salmon/orange cream...since it's creamy, and there's a lot of it, it will get somewhat stuck to the aluminum lid.. Just take it off or replace it back on the product. It's called Creme abricot...abricot is apricot in French, and it's that color

Mine looked just like yours - creamy orange in the container, and it was a little stuck to the aluminum. This doesn't bug me though - you only need a tiny bit for each finger so just keep it resting bottom-side-down and you should be good to go.

Has done wonders for my nails and cuticles. I'm sure like everything else, it will work different for everyone. I won't live without it!

It's a very thick tacky product but, that's how it's supposed to be. You don't need to use very much at all. I like to put some on each nail, let it sit a few minutes then massage into each nail bed. Follow with a nice hand cream. I try to do it 15-30 min befor turning out the lights. I find that gives it enough time to absorbe and not have that tacky feeling on the sheets.

It is very sticky, actually, for lack of a better word, goopy bests describes it. It works wonders for me so I can tolerate it. Actually I'm quite use to it now so it doesn't bother me at all. Love this product!

No it has not any formaldehyde. iI is made mainly with apricot oil, the kernel contains the most hydrating oil, I even think it is much more hydrating than argan oil. Try it, you'll know. Even the cuticules are soft and desapear after a treatment.

This product has no formaldylhyde and conditions the nails and cuticles.
For over 30 years I have looked for anything that does better, but this is absolutely the best and gentle on your nails! Good for your toes too!

I listed the first ten ingredients in the answer above. I checked the full list and there is no formaldehyde listed. I am not aware of other ingredients that cause drying, but from hands on experience with this product, drying it is NOT!!

You need an abrasive nail buffing cream and buffer, or a abrasive nail block. Then get a polish called Nail-Tech. Someone recomended it to me and it is worth the price. Ask for it at a Drugstore.

I have used it for years and it always makes my nails grow strong and peel-free. Of course, you have to be patient because it doesn't fix current nails, but makes your new growth much much better.

I have really bad ridges, and it does help smooth them out, but it's not a miracle worker. I have definitely noticed an improvement, though.

Sorry, I've been using this lovely product for almost a month and I still have those pesky nail ridges. I use a buffer to smooth them out. Creme Abricot will help keep your nails from flaking and splitting, though, if you have that problem.
