Questions & Answers for Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle(R) Foundation SPF 20

Question
How is the coverage?
I read that it is buildable, but I like buildable to full coverage (like MUFE and MAC Studio Fix Fluid). Any opinions? Thank you, pretty girls! xoxo

I've used this to layer on top of dark circles and blemishes, and it truly is buildable! I use it instead of concealer because I can never find a concealer that works with my foundation, so this is great!

The coverage is the same as a tinted moisturizer, maybe a little less.

answer 4
Coverage is sheer, and even after some layers I couldn't cover some spots. It's more of a tinted moisturizer.

Question
Use with primer?
I was curious if using a primer with this would decrease its anti-aging benefits? (Maybe wouldn't allow for proper absorption?) Thanks for your help!

I tried it with primer and had less positive results. Worked better on me with a hefty (la mer) moisturizer underneath. I've used a fixative on top to set it a couple of times and that was okay.

I don't think a primer would be a primer would be a problem, because I use it over my moisturizer, and I still see benefits. Silicone my seal the skin a bit more, so a moisturizer is probably preferable.

I also have yellow undertones and this product is more neutral beige. I don't like how it looks on my skin, the colors are definitely off. I tried 2nd and 3rd shade.

I would try the tan shade. I have yellow undertones as well, and I'd be a medium in the winter, tan in the summer. But the shades are super forgiving, so you can't go wrong with either.

This is very moisturizing (on a shiny side) so either try it without moisturizer under, or use some mattifying product. Also mattifying powder in the t-zone on top of it might help.

As all of us with oily skin know, just because something says "oil-free" doesn't mean it's right for oily skin. I have combo skin and like this foundation a lot, but since you are very oily, I would suggest you get a sample first. A Sephora associate will probably give you enough to try for a few days in a row so you can see how it does for your skin.

There are only 3 UVA protecting ingredients: avobenzone, titanium dioxide, & zinc oxide. For proper UVA protection, they must be listed as an active ingredient. The active sunscreen ingredients listed for this product are for UVB protection only.

Question
Colors very light?
I tried the sample and even the deep shade seemed rather pale. Have any other dark complexioned people tried this? Loved the texture and would like to buy but can't tell if the color matches or not. Clinique superfit in nutty is my usual foundation...any suggestions/thoughts?

This is one of those makeups, that I believe, no matter what color you choose, will make your face look pastey. I chose the medium,.because that's what I am, but it was too light and pastey. Once A makeup makes me look pastey, I'm done with all the colors. and this one only has 4. Which is dumb.

Product does not have enough coverage for crow's feet or dark spots. It is seamless in the way it blends well on the skin, so if you can find a good concealer, might work with well it, paired together.

Not really.. It is really good for your skin and does not cause break-outs (mine can get very oily despite also being dry in places.) However, for me, it did turn orange-y and shinier as the day wore on. Adding powder later on made it worse and look make-up-y. This was one of the reasons I had to return mine.
