You don't detach the brush to refill it, you unscrew the clear bottom carefully and then just screw it back on once you fill it. You can, however, detach the brush to clean it.

You have to twist it PAST where you think it's all the way closed (opposite dir. of turning to open). Very hard to tell if you did it right. Mine won't dispense the powder, though.

It refills from the bottom. When the brush is retracted you unscrew the bottom. The brush just pull off via magnet on the top too, but that isn't for refill as much as cleaning.

You do not detach the brush. Close the brush then at the bottom continue to unscrew the plastic container which is where the powder is stored. put the powder in this.

set it on "close", then turn the transparent part clockwise.
By the way, I am going to return mine, The powder doesnot flow.

Open passed that point and tap sideways against your hand otherwise the hole down the center of the brush might be clogged, use a q-tip. Once unclogged and coming out turn back just to open or else it will continuously come out. when you want more, you might have to go passed open again.

you should barely be able to see the foundation on the tip of the brush. When I first got mine, I ran my finger across it. If you're in good light, you should see a small spray of foundation when you do that. It won't pour out of the brush. Then you just swirl across your face in circular motion from forehead down and you're good to go!

Upon first use of the brush you do not shake it to get your powder to come out. You have to "tap" it against the side of your counter or a table. And by "tap" I mean hit is pretty hard.

I was just trained in Bare Minerals a couple of days ago and even the brand rep. said how so many people are having such difficulties with this brush because their instructions must not have been printed very clearly.

This product doesn't work, take it back! I've had it for over 4 mos thinking I just needed to break it in, but after 4 mos it still offers little product. Mine is in the trash, hopefully you have saved your box so you can take it back.

Twist the transparent refillable container at the bottom counterclockwise

stick the non-spoon end of the little spoon they give you between the sifter and the edge of the jar. wiggle it a bit, repeat around the whole circumference. its tricky and rather slow, just keep working it upwards. good luck, my friend. it is an arduous task.

To fill your "Refillable Buffing Brush".....Turn your sealed bare mineral product onto its top. You will notice a small indention all around the bottom of the container. Use a small coin....and gently pry open the lid.....(Similar to opening a can of paint). Use small scoop to fill your brush. Place bottom back on your bare minerals product. Press until your hear a the container
"click closed"...

The newer ones with the slider that closes, I am not sure if they open. If it is an older container you need to get your nail or a thin small nail file under the plastic perforated cover to open it.

i couldn't figure this out, either. they include instructions, like it's supposed to be easy, but i ended up just shaking extra powder out the holes on time and kind of scooping it up. it didn't work great, honestly. i wondered if my difficulties were because i my powder is the smaller size that come in the starter kits. i assumed the full-sized containers had some sort of tab or something you could use to just lift the top out. but maybe not.

You can use this with mineral veil.

It's just for the brush unlike the silver Mineral Veil one Sephora had last year which came with MV already in the brush.

It states it is for all BE face products.

Honestly, I've had a beastly time trying to get the foundation down to the tips of that thick brush in the beginning with a new one. Make sure it's open and the brush is in its fully extended position. I've even shaken mine so hard that the brush head has flown off onto the floor. At least then you can see if the opening under the brush head is clear or clogged. (The brush head comes off for cleaning.) I've had some that work immediately and others that are a bear to get going. I think as the brush part is loosened up and not in the brand-new-squashed-thick-together form, it starts to flow better. The brush is just so tight in the beginning, to me. That's all I can figure. I'm fighting with a new one myself, but I have a couple old ones that work fine.

I thought I wasn't getting powder through the brush, so I turned the brush upside down and tried it on the back of my hand.....shaking it gently. Brush in a circular motion. You will see the powder appear on your hand. Since you are supposed to use a very small amount of powder, it doesn't spill out of the reservoir as quickly as you might imagine....but it works!

I had the same problem...took it back...wasn't worth the trouble.

i had one of these refillable brushes and it did not work properly..not enough product came out when i tried to apply it. Turns out, it was faulty and i had it replaced...new one is perfect !!!! i really love it for my handbag.

You refill by unscrewing just the little clear section on the bottom where you can see in. Then just carefully insert the filled up pot back into the holder and screw it back in tight. Don't try to do it by removing the brush head--you'll never get any foundation to go down in that direction.

There is a tiny scoop inside the clear plastic reservoir. Use it to scoop powder from another container into the clear reservoir. It doesn't hold a lot, but seems to last a long time. Don't forget to screw the clear plastic part into the black handle.....keep the little scoop safe for next time.

One is smaller and it comes with mineral veil. The refill brush is bigger with no powder. You refill with your own mineral veil.

With the brush extended, gently lift the brush away from the base. The brush can be cleaned in the usual way. Let dry and replace. I think there is a magnet that holds it in place.......don't quote me on that!

Really it is mainly the size.

It includes only the brush. A small scoop for filling is included.

This product does not include mineral veil. It includes the brush and spatula to refill the glass bottle at the bottom.

I find the same problem with this brush, not much product comes out. Seems like they are prob the same in that.

It holds a good amount of powder, but then it won't come out.
