I have Dior's Airflash Spray Foundation and I love it ,but I'm thinking of trying this. Has anyone tried both, how do they compare?

I have been a long time user of Airflash and more recently Dior Nude foundations... I love them both. Temptu blows them away though. You have more control and options with Temptu as well... don't forget the blush and highlighter! I'm sure it's personal preference, but Temptu rocks in my book!

Honestly I loved both the Dior Airflash and the Temptu. I love the DIor because it gives you flawless coverage and it is so easy to put on. I love the Temptu because it also gives you flawless coverage and it smells great but the Temptu does give you a little extra with the airbrush blush and highlighter. In the long run the temptu will come out cheaper because the foundation is cheaper and lasts longer. I use the Dior airflash for traveling.

I have used both and prefer Dior. I have some trouble spots (slight discolorations from sun damage) and tend to prefer a moderate to fuller coverage in my foundation. The Temptu simply does not give the coverage. It is a decent foundation but I think you really must have pretty flawless skin for it to look nice. Otherwise, you will find yourself mixing products (foundations or adding concealers) to achieve a desirable coverage. I've never understand the "messy application" complaint with the Dior Airflash -- I have never had any issues with this (and have been using it for 2 years). Neither foundation is messy to apply so I think it comes down to desired coverage (and cost). If sheer coverage works for you, you will likely be pleased with Temptu. If you have any need for coverage (discolorations, ruptured capillaries, acne, etc...) you will likely not find the Temptu sufficient; I would absolutely rank the Airflash higher for complete coverage.
As for costs, I am inclined to think the Airflash is cheaper. Both the Temptu and Airflash are quite pricey but because I need more coverage and Temptu requires more per unit to get the coverage, I think it ends up being more costly. Lastly, the Airflash is easier to travel with (by a long shot).

I too was hooked on Dior Airflash and used my Dior big kabuki, but hands down I love Temptu so much better!! It only feels sticky if you are putting to much on. I also us a primer, but I also did with Airflash too. But I now am hooked on temptu. I would use airflash to travel though, but only because I have so many bottles as backup, but when there gone I wont be repurchasing Dior.

I use Dior's Air Flash with a kabuki brush and I love it. However, the Temptu system seemed like it would be even better so I bought it. To be honest, I am very disappointed. I found it to be sticky and despite what other people are saying, it definitely finds the tiny wrinkles in your face and settles there - especially around the eyes. I have been trying every setting with various degrees of pressure on the trigger. I have had no luck. I use a wall mounted, magnifying mirror with a circular light to make sure I can see the exact effect of everything I am putting on my face. There is no comparison between the Air Flash and Temptu. Air Flash is superior. The coverage is better, there are no creases and it minimizes those pesky wrinkles around the eyes. I find the exact opposite with Temptu. If someone else wrote what I have just written, I would have NEVER bought this product. I am staying with Air Flash. It is a wonderful foundation.

I've tried Dior Airflash and I found it too messy despite the great results. It is much easier to control the spray of the Temptu Airbrush machine and I love how I have more control over the coverage I want.

The compressor will hum when it's turned on, but it is not as noisy as a typical blow dryer. We have found that if we close the door in the room in which we're using it, we won't really be disturbing anyone else.

You can definitely hear it - it sort of reminds me of when I was living in an apartment with an A/C in the bedroom and you could hear the hum of it in the living room. It's not nearly as loud as a blow drier, I don't think.

Yes. I think foundation is the most important step of makeup because it sets the canvas for the rest of your makeup so start off with the foundation and then try the blush when you get the chance. But it definitely goes well with traditional makeup.

Yes, you can use other blushes and highlighters on top of the AIR pod FOUNDATION. We recommend AIR pod Blush and Highlighter be used with the Foundation to achieve long-lasting, lightweight and natural-looking results, but feel free to use any blush and highlighter along with the Foundation.

I only purchased the air pod foundation so I have been using with a cream blush and highlighter I have also used my MUF HD powder. It works but I have since ordered the blush and highlighter.

yes, you can apply other brands of blush, bronzer etc. They wont be able to fit in the pod though, so after you've applied your foundation with TEMPTU, then just take a regular make up brush and apply any other blush you'd like. Afterwards, just complete with finishing powder ;)

You can use any makeup with the Temptu products. If you airbrush your foundation, and then want to use your own blush or highlighter, just wait about a minute for the foundation to dry.

Since there are no bronze colored blushes, do you suggest using a darker color foundation as a bronzer? How many shades darker would you go?

I would recommend to get a couple shades darker in the foundation, to use as a bronzer, especially if you dont want shimmer. It works perfect.

I tried using a couple of shades of foundation darker and it worked beautifully! I don't like a shimmery bronzer so I tried this rather than the highlighter. I used the low setting and just sprayed over my cheeks and across nose and forehead very lightly. then used the sheer berry blush. I am very happy with the results.

I am also frustrated that they dont have a bronzer. I have never tried the luminizer however I am not a fan of any brand of lumizer. I like a very natural looking makeup and sparkle just doesn't seem natural to me.. Anyway, as for using a darker color than you skin tone...I am usually a medium complected girl with yellow undertones, however I like to look like a have a tan and since they dont have a bronzer I opted to buy their "natural" color foundation which is for tanned skin with yellow undertones. And it looks great!!! So if I were u I would only opt on getting a shade 1 or 2 darker than what you normally wear. I went one shade darker and it worked.

Of course you can! I live California so maybe its different here but she did my entire face foundation blush and the highlighter also this hd powder you put on after it does not come with the machine but it makes it so your skin is not sticky after ask them about it.

I've been using this Temptu foundation with a different airbrush for a while now. Since you can't blend the color of the foundation in the pod, I would suggest going to a store to make sure you like your match.

You can try it only in one store right now - the new Times Square door in NYC. A great place to start is the shade finder guide here on Sephora.com and also know that AIR pod makeup shades are extremely forgiving. There's a good chance that a couple of shades will match you well.

If you live in New York you cant try Temptu NOW at Sephora 5 Times Square and on September 4th at Sephora 5th Avenue.

I had the exact same problem with this unit and tried another. Unfortunately, it happened again. I believe it is just due to the poor quality of this system. There are several personal airbrush systems on the market and I would suggest that you try one of those.

I had the same problem at first. Just snap it open like breaking a piece of chocolate, it's not as delicate as it seems. It loosened up after a couple uses and now it pops right now and off.

I have experienced this in the past as well. My advice would be to make sure when you are putting the Pod on the gun to hold the side button down. This is key. When taking the pod off the case, I sometimes put my nail in the seam to wiggle it out a bit. Don't be afraid to pull it out.

Because the formula is made up of a water-in-silicone base, AIR pod formulas have a built-in primer. The water-in-silicone acts as a primer by allowing smooth application for a flawless look and allows for all day wear. Using a primer with these products is definitely not needed but if you have a favorite one, feel free to go ahead and apply before you airbrush.

Temptu foundation was developed and tested to last a full 12 hours!! Their is a built in primer in the foundation, so their is no foundation needed. If you want to use a primer to even further increase staying power, feel free. Currently I have been using Korres Primer and Urban Decay Pore Refining Primer Potion under Temptu AirPod foundation and both work beautifully. Also, wanted to underscore that Temptu is super long lasting. I come home from work now with more makeup on than I ever have before (I used to look terrible when I got home after 12 hours!)

Full refund if opened & used?
I was planning on buying this system but it's hard to tell what shade I would be or how well/easy I'd be able to use it. I was looking at sephora's return policy & it says "To make it easy, place the UNUSED item in its original condition and use the original packaging to ship your product." It is a bit pricey but I believe it'd be worth it if it works as described but I would prefer an actual refund instead of just store credit.

Yes, all Sephora stores will return the TEMPTU if you have the original receipt. I spoke to a manager yesterday at Sephora and she informed me that they will return it up to one year no questions asked. Sephora is just like Nordstrom.... customer service is their top priority. Go ahead and purchase it and if you don't like it you can return it.
