answer 1
I have used both. Black tea is richer and seems to soak in better - my preference. Lotus is cool and refreshing and feels great.

Lotus Gel is made just for puffiness/dark circles. I find the moisture very lightweight and weak. Black Tea is a richer cream that is all encompassing: hydration, fine lines, darkness, antioxidant.
Pretty much all eye creams are 15mL, and should last about 4 months if you use the recommended 'size-of-a-grain-of-rice'.

I love the way this cream feels and hydrates. I think it makes my eyes look brighter and more rested. Get a complimentary sample the next time you stop into Sephora. That's the beauty of Sephora! You can try things out before you invest in the full size item. Gotta luv' it!

I had your same concerns. It's only half an ounce for crying out loud, for $65! This is what I did, I saw that within 1 month, nearly half was gone--applying a.m. and p.m., so I got an additional eye cream for half the price to use every few days. One that still makes similar claims and is still non-irritating. Just to supplement and to see if I can even notice a difference. After using another brand--Caudelie, which I sing high praises of--the entire line. I noticed I can use far less of the Fresh when I do apply. So that's something. For the non-irritation factor and the safe ingredients and knowing it wasnt tested on animals (I don't think?) that makes it seem worth it. However, I'll still keep looking for one with all those requirements that's cheaper. If it were a full ounce, I'd be fine with it, but...So, use less when applying, a little does go further than expected, and get a far cheaper eye cream to supplement it.
I'm in my 30's too--it definitely does reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and increase smoothness like it says, increasing hydration--every cream does that, so...
Also, it smells so soothing and relaxing, sometimes that's worth price right there. It just feels so nice and def non-drying to put on.
Hope that helps!!

I've never used the lotus gel, so I can't answer if both would work. I can highly recommend the eye cream. I use it twice a day and a little goes a long way. I feel it is so worth the $65 for the fab results I've seen in only three weeks!

I was skeptical too but you really only need a very small amount--I use less than half a pea size amount for both eyes. My mom has used it for several months and is still on her first tube. This is the best eye cream I've used for moisturizing and I've had problems with dry skin around my eyes.

I think this product will last a lot longer than the lotus gel. The lotus gel is in a weird dispenser and there isn't a lot of gel in the bottle. I'm not sure if this cream works on dark circles but this one is more moisturizing than the lotus gel. They both are gentle and soothing though.
