what color do you recommend for blue eyes?

When I added details about my hair color, skin type, and eye color, sephora automatically suggested an eye color for me. It is no longer there. Another brand of eyeshadow is there now. Can you tell me what color would be best? Thank you!

Western Leather! I have blue eyes too and I purchased this shade just for the purpose of enhancing them. Orange is complimentary to blue on the color wheel, which means both shades make each other stand out. Western Leather is an orange-y brown copper shade with a beautiful shimmer. Buy it!

I think it is interesting to match your eyeshadow/liner to your eye color for a bold look.

But if that isn't for you, I suggest grey or silver shadow for blue eyes. I don't own it, but I think the "City Fog" Sephora mono eyeshadow would look beautiful with blue eyes.

If you want something a little different for blue eyes, I suggest using a bright pink shade (I like Blushing) and then blending with a shimmery golden-brown (urban decay toasted is pretty good and can be used on its own too). you can line with some dark brown liner to pull it together. When this was suggested to me by a sephora employee I thought it would look insane with the bright pink but I always get a ton of compliments when I wear this combo.

The diameter of the actual eyeshadow product (not the container) is 1.5", the weight on the container says .07 oz. For $12, I think you're getting a good amount of product.

it is only that color. i had the same problem. but after you add it to the cart and go through with the purchase you will receive the free eyeshadow they had displayed in the email but you can pick a different color than the free so you get 2 colors :)

One suggestion that I own is shade No. 39 - Paris Romance. I call it a peacock teal.

I am in love with this shade! It looks lighter in the pics below (shown on my eye) than it does in person. In person the shade is deeper/richer. The swatch photo below shows a more accurate representation of the shade.

I have similar coloring to you and I bought Mysterious Forest 46 today. It is a beautiful shade of green with lots of sparkle! It really makes brown eyes look great and can be used as a subtle liner for day or as a shadow for a green hued smokey eye for night. Since it does have a lot of sparkle in it though, I would recommend Urban Decay's primer potion underneath to keep the sparkle on your lids and not your cheeks!

I've been using MAC's makeup since their inception in the 80's. I recently decided to try Sephora's eyeshadows, and have been pleasantly surprised with their performance. I do think that MAC excels at providing intense, long-lasting colours, however, for more neutral and lighter shades the Sephora shadows are proving to be very comparable so far (I'm wearing "natural" looking colours now that I'm older).

I havent seen MAC eyeshadows that had this much glitter in them. I know they have the pigment and loose glitter they sell like in pots!! The MAC eyeshadows I have purchased are I think better quality because they have rich pigment, dont crease that easily and dont have as much fall out when you apply. MAC also has metallic, shimmer, and matte shadows so theres more variety of finishes and way more colors to choose from.

I also use MAC and I think that both brands wear similarily. Although with the color I got, Stephane 38, I felt that the vibrancy I got took less effort than with some MAC shades.

If i want a really different look i first highlight my brow bone using a highlighting color with a brush, then i us another brush to fill in my lid with a crease-free shadow in a light color that I want to go with. next, I usually line my eyes with black eyeliner and then line it with the a darker version of the color I put on my lids using an eyeliner brush. I also use the darker color at the outer crease of my eye to blend in all the colors.

Always use a good eye primer!!! I like Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion, this is a necessity if you want your eyeshadow to stay on all day or night. You can use a brush to apply eye shadow. It depends on your preference. I like to use the eye shadow applicators because I find that brushes get eyeshadow dust all over my face, even after tapping off the excess. Just place the eye shadow applicator (or brush) into the eyeshadow, then sweep across your eyelid. Then repeat until you have the color as vibrant as you want. Putting on eyeshadow can be done in many different ways. I would suggest looking up some videos on youtube if you want specific directions and to physically see how other people apply it.

I apply my shadow with a soft brush in short strokes until I reach the intensity of color I want, and the amount of area I want to cover depending on the look I am going for at that time. Experiment with your makeup when you have the time, find what you feel comfortable with, its something I look forward to doing every morning!!
