I just purchased MUSE and it is a pretty matte color - only the slight amount of shine. LOVE IT.

Essie's Matte about You. It's the most matte, applies thinly (so you can put your favorite topcoat underneath if you want), and is easy to find. Or, if you have a basecoat that leaves your nail matte looking when it dries (ridge-filling basecoats often to), use it as a topcoat and save your money.

As far as I can tell, just the neons, since they are by nature matte. A lot of them are cremes, though, and would look beautiful with a matte topcoat over them -- especially DWS or muse, at least in my opinion. Topcoats really are the way to do mattes, though -- they turn your entire collection into matte polishes, for the price of one bottle.

Some of these colors are so lovely! But it looks as if this brand hasn't given up the worst of the chemicals; I won't be buying any, I'm sorry to say.

Agreed. Every other big brand out there has gone 3-Free, even many drugstore brands. OPI, Essie, Zoya, Butter London, Rescue Beauty Lounge... these are all free of formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP. Why is Illamasqua holding out? It's really ridiculous these days, and incredibly scary that so many people don't know or care enough to stop buying products that continue to use such toxic ingredients.

Do you have an estimated date in which you will be selling Illamasqua nail varnish in the new Pastel colors?? The colors are named Blow, Wink, Nudge and Caress. I essentially wish to purchase the pre-made "set."

The word is that Sephora will be carrying them in May 2010... I can't wait!! I too want the set, and can't wait for Nudge! That color looks beautiful!

Really wish we didn't have to wait until May, but I guess it beats paying for the shipping from the UK!

DWS is a very opaque gray, makes me think of a wet cement sidewalk. I love it with grays and also with plums, purples and pinks. It's a dramatic color but more "grown up" than the neons.
I do get lots of compliments on it, even when I'm in jeans after work.
