Nope! An angled brush is the bast to use with this, and Sephora brand has several you can get for a little bit cheaper than the name-brands. I personally use Smashbox's brow brush and love it.

No. I use this brush http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P239509&categoryId=S4700&shouldPaginate=true. I wanted a brush for eyeliner that was very defined and didn't appear to fray easily. I use this for my eye brows, too. it is easy to manipulate and glides very nicely. I am an eye product newbie and this tool made it very easy!

A angled brush to apply the brow powder with is a necessity. Also, some clear mascara/brow gel is nice to keep the hairs in place and going the direction you want them to, esp. if you have longer hairs, which you can also trim if you want. A pencil to help outline (and then fill the outline in with the powder) is helpful as well, but not a must. I personally just trim my hairs so they don't get unruly and apply this powder with a angled brush and love the result! Hope this helped!

i recommend since you just started using brow items you keep it simple.
get an angled eyeliner brush, and to keep your eyebrows in place use an hairspray(i use tigi bed head hard head) just spay a littte on an tooth brush and come it through your brows(cher does the same thing) and i do the SAME-THING WITH MY OLD MASCARA!

I use an angled brow brush. A gel is good if you want to control pieces of hair that won't cooperate but brow powder should stay put even without the gel.

If your new to using eyebrow products, the one piece of great advice I could give you would be to invest in a quality duel brow/lash brush from Sally's if you have one near you....they are reasonably priced and you can put the product on your eyebrows so much easier than with the dinky brush that usually comes in most eyebrow products...and a good eyebrow powder with matching colored wax beside it is from Benefit here on the Sephora site....I use it and love it as well......I have many eyebrow products I use off and on that I love....it's one of my good features....hope this helps you.... also get your brows shaped , that always heps....

This brow powder doesn't come with a brush, so you would need an angled/slanted brow brush. Sephora has a good selection of them, and even their cheapest one is good. I usually wet my brow brush with water and then rub it on the brow powder and then fill in my brows, creating the shape i want them to be.

You're going to need a brush to apply this with. I don't like brow brushes because they are too wide for the "tail" of your eyebrows, so I'd recommend a eyeshadow brush that is flat and rounded. You don't need a gel with this.

I use this brush http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P239509&categoryId=S4700&shouldPaginate=true. It is easy to manipulate and makes applying eye brow powders and cream eye liners a breeze! The bristles are very defined and I haven't had any problems with them coming out or fraying at all.

You will need a angled brush or a flat liner brush to define the shape of the brows. Wet the brush and use, it will help the product stay and will prevent fall out. Do not use a eyeshadow sponge, it will make a real mess.

Question
how is this different from any other eyeshadow?
I am very skeptical of powder eyebrow makeup or enhancers. I wonder if it is or not the same than using any good eyeshadow. I use a clear gel and it works beautifully, but I have always wanted to have darker eyebrows and sometimes just use a very old mascara wand that also seems to work pretty fine.

I think that powder eyebrow products work beautifully. They are easy to control, easy to add as much or as little color as you prefer, and offer longer-lasting coverage than a pencil can. Also, I think they take lass time to apply, which is great in a pinch!

An eyebrow powder like this is very controllable and long lasting. Use this with an eyebrow brush (Nars or Makeup Forever) and you can make your eyebrows light or dark depending how much you apply. It looks natural and this product lasts a very long time with everyday use. I have used mine for at least 6 months everyday and all I see is a very small dent, not even close to finishing half of this product. Definitely worth your money.

If you can find an eyeshadow that's the color that you would want for your eyebrows, then yes, it would work pretty much the same as a brow powder in my opinion.

answer 5
I was using eye shadow for my eyebrows previous to purchasing this product. The difference is the appearance. It adheres to the hairs already present on my eyebrow, as well as creating a more natural looking tone directly on my skin. My issue was how sparse my natural eyebrows are, in addition to lack of definition. The overall appearance is much more eyebrow-esque, and less of just the simply colored in appearance. I suggest going into a store and trying out a eye brow powder product and finding something that works best for you.

Hi! I personally like Thunder and think it would be good for you. I have light skin, hazel eyes, and naturally brown hair. I am a hair stylist and change my hair color often. I think that Thunder is a good color for pretty much any hair color. It's dark but not dark enough to look fake and it's not too light that you can't see it. I think it's just great! I love it.

I am about the same description, fair skinned, blue eyes, dark brown to black hair at the moment. From the picture you have, i would go with vehement. The others in the series look too light. If you do a light layer of vehement, it would look very natural. I do heavy coverage to get the dark, almost black color I need.

Question
Does the Thunder color have a reddish undertone?
I am looking for an eyebrow powder that is for those with dark brown hair but without any reddish hue. I currently use shu uemura brow pencil in seal brown, but am in the mood to try something new. Does the Thunder color have a reddish tone? I have a sense that the black color would be too dark, and reddish browns do not look natural with my hair color. Thanks!

No, there is no reddish undertone. I have very dark brown (almost black)eyebrows and Thunder works perfectly for me. It really allows me to control how defined I want my brows because of the texture of the powder.

No, I personally don't think there is a reddish undertone at all. I use Thunder at the top of my brows and Vehement at the ends for a little more depth. My hair is jet black so the color matches really nice.

I used both. This applies way better (smoother) than Anastasia. You'll LOVE it, if you can find a color match.

Colors are intense. I'm medium and color Thunder was almost too dark and Peek was too warm, but I liked it so much will try Thunder again using a light hand.....

I would only suggest color Vehement for you, if your hair is dark to jet black. Hope this will help.....

If you apply VERY LIGHTLY, Thunder will be fine! I had the same problem and tried peek, but it "almost" had a orangey look in sunlight and I didn't really like it. I am light-med skin with dark blonde hair/lighter highlights.

We're sorry to any inconvenience. It's unlikely that we will be receiving more of the shade in Peek since it was a limited edition shade that is no longer available online. We recommend contacting your local Sephora to see if they have any in stock. In the meantime, we recommend Motto, based on your hair color. We hope that helps!

I would say Vehement. I have almost black hair and that's what I use. If you want a lighter coverage, just go easy with your brush. I use pretty heavy coverage to match my hair.
