The actual white plastic part of the brush from tip to end is 9 1/4" long. The 'bristles' flare out slightly, so add another 1/4" if you include the bristles that extend over the actual brush edge. The width of the plastic head (where the bristles are) is 2 5/8" wide. Or, if you include the flared out bristles as part of the width measurement for total space occupied, then it is 3" wide.

Not sure the exact length but it really is more of a medium sized brush, not small. It is the same size to the boar detangling brush that they have in the store if you want to see the size in person since this is only available online. I have med. length thick curly hair and this size is perfect.

Is it gentle to use on a toddler?

My 2 year old daughter has really curly hair that gets really tangled I have tried other brushes but none have been gentle and efficient. Will this brush be gentle and does it really help with detangling?

Its just fine to use on your babys hair, only thing is I wouldn't use this if her hair is wet, It might end up pulling her hair strands out. especially if there is knots. Use on dry hair.

THIS BRUSH IS PERFECT FOR ANY AGE!!! I HAVE A FAMILY OF 6 AND WE ALL USE THE BRUSH! FROM MY 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TO MY 60 YEAR OLD DAD!! Question

Does this brush "wear out"?

I bought one of these last year (or the year before) and loved it -- no static and it really helped me control frizz. However, lately I have not been getting the same results. Does whatever "releases negative ions" wear out after a while (and therefore I should replace the brush) or has something else affected my hair?
