The bristles are long and strong, the do not bend when you brush, so yes, It will do the trick.

I have the Sephora detangling comb, and I use that first, but my hair is very fine and color treated. If your hair has some body, you should be great with this.

I think you will find this is a good detangling brush. I've noticed it doesn't break my hair either when I do have bad knots. Some cheap brushes are terrible that way!

The brush length is a little over 10" and the area that holds the bristles is like 4 x 3 inches.

It's not teeny - it's actually on the larger side... about 10 inches long, and maybe 3-4 inches across the widest part. It fits nicely into my condo's little bathroom vanity drawers... and I love it so much I'd find a place to store it if it didn't fit. It's a terrific brush - well worth the price!

It's about 9 inches long and 4 inches at its widest point. The best part about it is that it is all one piece. My last hairbrush broke since the handle and head were connected, and it broke at that point.

You will not be disappointed with this brush, the bristles are long so they actually go through the hair and don't bend. I love it and I'm so happy I bought it.

I this this should be fine. I have had some negative experiences in the past but this brush, especially when combined with a good
conditioner (like Paul Mitchell Moisturizing Lavender and Mint) is amazing. The brush has minimized my scalp sensitivity and
it does not take nearly as long to brush. Not sure if it's an "on-purpose" side effect but I think it also helps to a degree with drying
my hair quicker. And think of it this way - buying with Sephora is safe so if you do have a problem you're not stuck.

These aren't boar bristles... one usually doesn't see that for a detangling brush, as boar bristles don't do well with wet hair. But if you want a brush that is fantastic at detangling or working with damp hair,this is fantastic.

This is not made of a combination and I've never seen what you're looking for. It's not nylon, it's something else but looks like a nylon brush, however it's a bit more stiff and as I mentioned in my review, unlike with nylon brushes, it keeps down static, adds shine and also unlike some really cheap brushes, it doesn't break your hair, even when you have some bad tangles.

This may sound weird but take a clean toothbrush,submerg the brush in water and scrub gently between the bristles. Warm water will soften the fuzz and the toothbrush will get them off. Then tap out the excess water and air dry the brush.

What a great question! I am wondering the same thing. I have tried using a comb and even a vacuum tool.
The best way I've found to remove the little dust bunnies that form at the base of each bristle: removing each one by hand. It's tedious but it works.
The person who invents a little cleaning comb for hair brushes could make a bundle :-)

Question
Good for wet, curly hair?
I have really long hair with natural spiral curls. I only brush my hair once a day (right after I shower and apply curl definer) because if I ran a brush through it dry, it would turn into a big frizz bomb. I've read through the product description, but it doesn't say if this should be used on wet hair, dry hair, or both. Would this brush help me with breakage and shedding if I used it on my wet hair?
