Questions & Answers for Perricone MD Prescription for Youthful Skin

Question
Good for oily skin?
I have fine lines, large pores on my cheeks, a little bit of skin discoloration but my main concern is my oily skin. Is this a good product for my skin type or should I try something else? Or a combination of these products with some else?

Thanks for your help!

Perricone has different lines. One for acne. One for sensitive skin. I'd call the company, the toll free number and find out what it just right for you.

Hmmm..I have combination shin and it works for me...Why don't you try the Peter Roth Products... I have, and I must say I think anyone with oily skin would benefit from that line...it's a little too drying for me.

The only things I can tell you is that since you have oily skin, it will probably dry that up pretty well. However, I have dry skin and small pores; after using this set for a few days, I can count the pores on my cheeks and T-Zone. I hope this helps you out!

I think your skin would benefit from this line. Remember that it does take time to see results....The pores around my nose and chin are much less obvious but it took a few weeks to see the difference.

If you have oily skin, I think this set would be wonderful for you, with the exception of the Face Finishing Moisturizer. The moisturizer is rather rich, and it smells and feels amazing, but it will probably be too heavy for oily skin. However, the Citrus Facial Wash, Firming Facial Toner, and Advanced Face Firming Activator would work wonders with your skin, in my opinion. I have always had combination/oily skin, until a few years ago, and now it's mainly combination, with a few dry patches and a few oily patches. This set is making an amazing difference in my skin. I definitely recommend it, I just worry the moisturizer may be too heavy for oily skin. If you want to try a Perricone moisturizer, I'd recommend the Skin Clear Hydrator, as it's an oil free moisturizer.

Absolutely!! I have combo skin, really oily in the t-zone and I also have discoloration and large pores in my cheeks. It worked great for me, but you have to at least give it a few days to a week to adjust the oily-ness of your skin.

Products last a long time. Months. AND, if there is a pump on them, when the pump quits working, don't throw away! There is still quite a lot of product left if you unscrew the pump and shake some out on your fingertip or in your palm.

I'm not sure if you mean how long before you run out of the product or the results after using.
The results depend on how long you have used it. You will not see immediate results so as for how long it lasts???? I will tell you that after about 3 weeks you see very obvious results, a dewy clean looking face and neck, and as long as you continue to use it, you will look that way. Unfortunatly if you skipp a couple of days it shows.
HINT: Use as directed, A lil goes a long way. Sweep the toner on with a cosmetic pad do not wipe, lasts longer. I only use the firming activator at night under my night moisturizer or if I'm going to be out all day.
I place an order about 2 months ago and have enough for about another week and a half. I suppose it varies from person to person though.

Facial wash - about 2 weeks used once a day [I use to much at a time?]
Toner - about 4 weeks used once a day
Face firming activator - still using! [8 weeks so far used once a day]
Moisturizer - 5 weeks used sparingly all throughout the day

I loved this kit. I saved the bottles to put in my carryon bag to refill from the full sized products. The bottles don't leak!!

You don't use much product. For the cleanser, a squirt or 2 should do your whole face. For the toner, saturate half a double cotton ball. I don't saturate the whole thing, to save. For the facial firming activator: a couple squirts. Be careful, the squirts can go flying around the room! Cup your hand around it closely. It's too expensive to waste. This is the most important product. Make sure you get all your face for redness, plus your neck and chest if you are worried about turkey like texture if you're older. For the moisturizer, less than 1/2 a dimes worth will do my whole face, neck and chest. I like to stay protected and moisturized now that I'm aging.

I guess -ti-mate about 2 months...that is if you (1) follow the directions and (2) use sparingly. A little goes a long way. I bought mine almost 2 months ago and have about 1/4 left in each bottle exept for the toner. Here's a tip for the toner I found helpful, Use cotton cosmetic pads and Sweep the areas you want to, to not apply pressure. It'll last longer and make large pores smaller just let it dry beforeusing the firming activator at night or the moisturizer in the day time. I only use the firming at night.

The granules seem to be a part of the product but I do not find it very noticable...As for the activator...I use it at night under my night time moisturizer and if I'm going to be out for more that 12 hours in the day, I use it morning and night.. You'll be amazed from the difference you see in the morning in about 3 weeks, BUT thats just me, HINT: sweep toner on face 1st then activator let dry then I use a night time moisturizer called Retinol.

I noticed the granules, too, and there was a large piece of what looked like disintegrated paper in the jar. I'm concerned that the granules are parts of a protective film that usually sits in the jar's cap. Still don't know what they are though. I'd probably return this except I threw out the box! oops.

First, facial cleanser. Second - toner. If you don't have any, no problem. I only have it now because of this box special. Next, facial firming activator. This stuff really works. I had to quit using it for months because no money. My pores and redness came back, bigtime. When I use regularly, my face looks more refined, healthy, glowing, less red. OK, now put on moisturizer. Then you are ready to do your face.

I have combination skin and used this. It worked wonders for about three weeks and then my skin completely dried out. The moisturizer works but my skin would get confused with the ingredients in the moisturizer and produced way too much oil. I think the toner will work well for combination skin, but the other products not so much.

Yes, I have a T-Zone area as well. and This is the right stuff. It's a lil pricy but the longer you use it the better the results. HINT: Follow the instructions...Do not over use. alil goes a long way. As for the toner, not so It dissapears very quickly so I suggest you use cosmetic (cotton, not the chepos though) pad and sweep the toner over areas.

Not sure about rosacea. Call the Perricone phone # and you can get a personal recommendation for just your skin type. I have the same features you do, with redness on my face because of age, babies, etc. Using the facial firming activator surely helps!

Good question, as I, too, suffer with a mild case of rosacea. I didn't notice an improvement while using this collection, but it didn't make it worse either. The overall clarity of my skin looked better, but the slight redness was still evident. I currently use a cream that Clinique has out specifically for rosacea and use it in conjunction with this line and it works well, there is no adverse affect with either one.
