The oil free kit has the same undercover pot- which is fabulous! I have semi-oily skin in t-zone, but like more moisture in the undereye area. The undercover is very silky and smooth (reminds me of Philosophy's 'eye believe', which is a fabulous eye cream). The undercover is kind of peachy and semi sheer, and leaves your eye area brightened and smoothed. It does not settle throughout the day, and is overall the best concealer I have used ever.

Given your age you might want to consider using an eye cream already...and a very emollient one at that. My choice is hope in a tube by philosophy. If you have oily skin then apply eye dream on top of that. Its an eye primer. This is all what I use by the way. :) Then apply this kit. I am very pleased with this kit. I really am hooked now on her tinted moisturizer. Already used her concealer and loved it. Hope this helps.

i would go for the makeup for ever camoflauge palette in no.1 since you are light skin its a better coverage and you can mix to get different colors since the summer is coming up & you might get tanned ...but honestly if you have dark circles covering it up is not a good way because it cakes and creates lines which make it more noticeable i would recommend using a pink toned highlighter under the eyes and blend so that the pink will reflect off light and hide your circles try it !! it works !! but if you prefer covering check out the makeup forever palette

Answering to whether or not to apply regular moisturizer before using LM tinted moisturizer. I do not especially because my skin naturally gets oily. However, during the winter my skin is very dry and this tinted moisturizer does the work so you defintiely do not need to pre moisturize. Just to be safe and save you time, you should definitely ask for a 3 day sample amount so you can test it with and without moisturization. Hope this helps

Answer for the "Fawn" color question. I just wanted to share to you that this tinted moisturizer is buildable which along will create a darker tone because coverage is better after a second application. Aside from that, once I put on the sand color it at first looks a bit off as my skin toner is darker from the summer, but surprisingly once you blend it in good with a chunky solid kabuki brush it should look very nice and as your face warms up the color looks even better after a few minutes. When I got really dark (im asian but tan very easily) I would not set with a translucent powder, but instead I would use a completely different brand press powder that is a tint darker then the tinted moisturizer to set my face. This would give you a flawless and natural tan finish. I hope this helps!

The Sephora sales associate who helped me pick this out said that despite it being called a tinted *moisturizer* you should still use moisturizer before you apply your primer. I think this is very good advice for people who have skin that leans towards the dry end of the spectrum. I personally never use moisturizer, day or night (they all make me breakout or turn red). I think that the tinted moisturizer is plenty moisturizing enough for my skin. Everyone is different though. You should try it both ways. I would imagine that it would be sufficient to only apply your moisturizer at night and use this during the day.

I think it would be up to you and your individual skin care needs. If you have acne, you would probably want to still use your medicated/acneic moisturizer because it is going to offer you the benefits of actually TREATING your skin condition. The oil free tinted moisturizer is more for the purpose of offering you lightweigh flawless coverage with added moisturization benefits.
I use a "pre moisturizer" before I use the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, it offers additional SPF (15) and helps shrink pores/control oil.

Depends on how dry your skin is and what else is in that acne moisturizer. If there's acne-figting stuff in there, keep using it, and if you have extremely dry skin, use both. If the acne moisturizer doesn't contain any special acne-fighting ingredients, just use this and it should be fine. You can always try a couple of days each way to see how you like it.

I believe this kit came with instructions; if not, the way I use it (according to the instructions) would be the primer first, then the tinted moisturizer, followed by the setting powder. I don't believe you need to add an extra moisturizer, everything you need is included in this kit. Hope this helps. =)

I use a moisturizer for acne prone skin as well & I use my moisturizer before I apply my primer, then apply my tinted moisturizer regardless. It helps to not only moisturize but also to heal any blemishes I may have and helps to prevent any blemishes.

I use the LM Oil Free Day Lotion before the TM and it makes my face very smooth. I actually use it instead of the primer as I'm not wild about 'sealing' my face.

There is NO FOUNDATION, however, the TINTED MOISTURIZER can take the place of any foundation. After trying this kit one time, I have never used a traditional foundation again - the coverage is rather sheer but buildable, and after using her fabulous Undercover Pot, you should find that you look much better without foundation. The tinted moisturizer gives plenty of coverage and looks very natural, and I have dark circles, blotchy patches, occasional break-outs, etc., and never thought of going without a 'foundation' until I tried this kit. The kit is also an excellent price (I always get a new kit when I run low) - the brushes, puff and sponge are very good quality and the primer is great.

You would use the tinted moisturizer as your foundation. The concealer takes care of the imperfections. Of course primer first, then concealer, then your tinted moisurizer. A little goes a long way, to much may make you look shiney. I love full coverage, have to have a flawless face and this gives me that. I use a little Laura Gellar balance-Brighten for my finishing powder or just a little bare minerals- mineral veil.

No, it only includes foundation primer and tinted moisturizer. I follow the moisturizer with a loose powder and find it is enough coverage during the summer.

There should be 2 tubes included in the kit. One is the primer the other is the foundation. If you only have 1 tube maybe it was left out of the kit by mistake!

I am a similar complexion color, and I first purchased the Sand kit. I usually wear a color more in the tan family (with BE brand, etc.). Sand was OK in the early fall when I still had some color, but I'm back for the Nude set to get me through winter. As one person mentioned, you could always darken it a bit with bronzer if it's a tad light.

I am paler too in winter and get a nice golden tan in summer, I bought the nude colour and it works fine. Its better to have a colour that matches your skin, you can always darken up with bronzer if you need to. I think the sand colour with added powder or bronzer will end up looking too orange.

You should get the nude kit, because sand matches me perfectly, but I'm darker than you.

The Nude is too fair for people with moderate color. Sand may work for you but only in the winter months.

The oil free set says it has 20 spf in the tinted moisturizer, so spf is not an option you can choose or not choose. But spf 20 is not really going to protect you for more than an hour. I use sunscreen underneath of at least spf 30 or colorescience spf 50 powder on top cuz it can be reapplied and sunblock needs to be reapplied every 2 hours and be at least spf 30.

I have combination kin and i spend about a week thinking on wich one I should get. Finally I decided on the oil free and thank god. Even with the dry winter weather my face looks and feels moisturized.
Formula fundation give a lot more coverage than a tinted moisturizer by itself. However with this complete kit you get a medium type of coverage.
I highly recommend his product!

I have tried both the oil-free, and the regular tinted moisturizer and primer. When I purchased this kit, I went with the oil-free because I have serious combination skin. I am glad I did- even the oil-free formula is high on moisture and leaves a very dewy, youthful finish. I am quite certain that if I had purchased the regular formula I would look like a disco ball by noon. If you have even slightly oily skin, go with the oil- free. It isn't matte or heavy like other oil-free foundations, and lends plenty of moisture without shine.

The oil free tinted moisturizer would definitley be for oily/ combo skin, the cool thing is that the oil free primer HAS spf in it so you get the best of both worlds by using them together as they are intended :)

If you have oily or combination skin, get the oil-free. If you have dry skin, get the regular version.
The oil-free formula doesn't have oil, so it won't make your skin look shiny or clog your pores if you have already oily skin.

The Nude color should be a good match for you. And the secret camouflage is great to neutralize the redness.

My bet is that you would be nude! I wore Clinique Ivory as well- it was always a little too pink for me. This Nude has a little bit more of a yellow undertone than the Clinique Ivory, but the lightness is the same. It blends beautifully and can be beefed up for more coverage by adding a couple dots of a thicker foundation if you feel like you need it since it is quite sheer.

I have the exact same coloring and oily skin. I would try out the "Nude" or the "Beige" (or was it "Bisque", it's the one right next to "Nude" on the sample palette on their display in store - sorry, my brain is not functioning). I actually had the sales associate there show me the PRECISE items that were in the "Oil Free Flawless Face Kit/NUDE" and had her make up my face IN STORE. I then copied what she did to the other side of my face with her watching me and that convinced me. I used the "Nude" moisturizer and the "Undercover Pot UC-2" in store and all my redness is completely gone. I had to keep looking in the mirror because I couldn't believe it!
Make some time, go to the store, try it out (with someone who KNOWS and USES LM) and give it a go, what have you got to lose? :) Test it out and good luck!

i think this might be a good kit for you since your only 15 and you dont need much coverage this is only a tinted moisturizer so its light and if you just want to cover up some freckles and blemishes this concealer is great just remember to blend well !

I'm 15 too, and I have moderate acne and combination skin. For me, this product was _really_ good at covering my acne, which mostly consists of persistent red dots on my chin and forehead. It didn't aggravate it and it didn't look fake either. This product lasts fairly good throughout the school day, but I always wash my face when I get home so I can let my face breathe. I would suggest putting moisturizer over your blemishes before applying to ensure that it doesn't flake off later. I'd say give this product a try; you can always return it if it doesn't work.

for me it was more sheer than I thought it would be, so I will guess that it won't give you the coverage you are looking for. I have rosacea (redness in the skin) and it didn't really cover it. I felt like I had to keep putting on more and more to cover the red. hope that helps.....

I do think that undercover-pot is perfect for your blemishes and redness (no fingers) and you could use the tinted moisturizer,alone, no other moisturizer. It lasts very well and better finished w/ her powder.
Also, try her mineral powder foundation. Its a great coverage, oil absorbing, skin clearing, natural and SPF 15. Get the kit and just give the primer to your mom, she'll love you and you'll love everything else for a great price.

I have combination/oily skin (my cheeks can be dry but my t-zone is oily). I always go for oil-free products because they feel lighter on my skin and are less likely to cause break-outs. My face has not broken out as a result of using this product. I'm not saying that it stops break-outs, but that it has not caused any break-outs. Hope this helps!

I also have combo skin... oily t-zone and normal cheeks. I got oil free, which I would advise to avoid any breakouts from oils in the product. Also, the oil free leaves my skin looking very luminous, so I am afraid the regular would leave me looking oily. It depends on what skin look you are looking for... If you wanted a matte look I would not advise this product, but if you are looking for a natural to glowy look I would recommend the oil free.

i'd choose the oil-free. It won't dry you out and it won't break your skin out. Oil free is always the safest choice.

I have combination skin and it depends on the time of year for me. In the summer I have to choose oil free products b/c I live in a humid climate and the little oil on my face becomes excessive when its hot. In the winter, I need to choose dry skin products b/c I don't have enough oil at that point. Yes, I have to have two different sets of products depending on the year but I guess that is the way it goes. You don't have to use the primer in this kit if you don't want to or you can just apply it in spots around your face. One day I forgot to put it on and the tinted moisturizer was not too dry. I could just tell I forgot b/c my face was shiny in a few hrs. This kit is wonderful by they way.

Unless you are really pale naturally, then I would say no- i find the coverage is very natural & healthy. That's what bronzer was created for though! If you are feeling too light you may need a darker shade or just brush on a little bronzer afterwards :)

Not at all! It covers dark under-eye circles very well and makes your complexion look beautiful, even for this being just a tinted moisturizer and not a foundation. The very light green-colored face primer is perfect for correcting minor imperfections as a base before the moisturizer. Even when you set the concealer with the powder in the jar, the powder goes on translucently and is just to ensure that the conceler doesn't budge.

No way!!! Since this is just a tinted moisturizer it is very light and natural... NEVER cakey like some foundations. It leaves my skin looking flawless and natural!

It has not done that to me. I know what you're referencing, as my decade-old wedding photos show a tan body and a ghostly face, thanks to some department store liquid makeup I used at the time. Laura's products don't seem to do that.

The Undercover Pot does have two concealers, but according to the excellent instructions, they are to be used in DIFFERENT LOCATIONS - the creamiest is for the under eye area and the other, drier one is to cover any other place on the face or neck. Very well thought out products and the kit is great and at a good price.

Primer, concealer, powder to set concealers, tinted moisturizer, powder to set. Use egg for tinted moisturizer, puff for poweder. Hope this helps.

your right you definetely use the primer all over your face first, then use the concealer, then the tinted moisturizer , but if you want a more fuller coverage you can use concealer last up to you , and the sponge is for the tinted moisturizer to apply on , and the puff is for the powder under the concealer to pat on your face to set everything or for any powder usage

You are in for a treat! Use concealer under the eyes first, then primer, then tinted moisteure. If you need concealer on spots, do that last and blend. The sponge is to apply and blend; the puff is for powder last if desired.
