I would describe this as a more yellow tone than pink.

i find it to be a little yellow - great for covering purple bags.

It is a more pink base, but i recommend going into an Sephora store and looking at some of their other products because they have such a wide verity and i almost guaranty you they will have just what you are looking for!

the medium shade is more on the yellow undertone.

As a make-up artist I'm going to tell you a little secret. And I wouldn't be saying this unless I was 100% sure it was safe and good for your brushes, I have every make up brush out there and it's an expensive investment so I wouldn't ruin my brushes just to save $15.

Instead of paying for expensive "brush cleaners" a GREAT way to clean your brushes is...

Fill a cup or glass with warm, NOT HOT, water.

Add either shampoo or dishwashing soap to the glass/cup.
Dish washing soap is anti-bacterial and mild and shampoo is mild enough as well.

You want to dip the brush in the glass of water, this way the water is being pushed up into the bristles and cleaning every little spot BUT ALSO not damaging the shape of your brush. Some people rub the brush or wet it then rub the bristles of the brush across a surface and this is damaging the shape of your brush.

Keep dipping it in and out of the water. Change the water and repeat till the brush is clean and the water is not that dirty.

Now, as wet as your brush is, get a towel or cloth or anything really to let your brush dry FLAT! (again, very important for your brushe's shape)

You can cover the brush also with the cloth, towel, paper towel. Wrap it if you like, making sure not to smother the bristles.

If you are using the brushes just for yourself, for personal use, you honestly don't have to wash it every day, maybe once a week but I do wash it if I happen to have a very bad break out so the bacteria doesn't transfer.

I used a light cream body wash and warm water to clean it about once after every other use and it seems fine, but if you can afford it then you can order a reasonable priced liquid brush cleaner under the Tools section.

i get to it once a month but i believe once a week is recomended if that is the only product u use the brush for. more than one product use, clean it daily.

I usually wipe my concealer brush off after each use by mashing flat in a Kleenex or papertowel, and I try to wash it with a mild soap (Dove is what anyway) and warm water maybe after every 6-10 uses, You can also use Witch Hazel in between washings.

I find that if you use the Sephora brush cleaner daily, the application is much more even each time you use it. Plus, with summer coming around, it's best to wash it atleast every other use to avoid unwanted bacteria on your precious face! Hope this helped! =)

I always use whatever shampoo i am using to clean all my brushes. I tend to break out a lot so i do clean mine after every 2 uses at least.

this is a translucent mattifier. no color. it does give a natural huge when it blends with ur facial oils.if u want color in ur powder go to smashbox halo. i don't like bare mins anymore but used too. i am 40 bare mins is horrid for fine lines.u can't see most of my lines if i use the right products. this stuff is AWSOME! use a SOFT brush and don't over apply or you will look dead. If you apply light does what it says. looks great on me and lasts. so does halo but adds color and is heavier. halo is great if you want the color. i don't always want that.

I also use MEdium BEige, and in this I use the D30, which I believe is medium. It matches perfectly!!

You could use Radiant or Rich.

This makeup line goes by numbers. For instance, I am fair and I wear #117. Someone with darker skin tones would be in the 300 range. I would go try it out....but beware.....the colors in the bottles are deceiving. The exact shade of foundation and concealer I use were ones that didn't look like my shades when I was looking over the displays. This line generally has a lot of nice neutrals with warm and cool tones included. They have improved the shades to include far skins like me and darker one as well. Coverage is buildable from medium to full, depending on what you want. Originally it was a theatrical makeup line that has now expanded over the years and gives great natural coverage without looking overdone.

I got light and i normally use medium, just because I found its more of a touch-up. I have a touch up blush too which i incorporate in the mix. Hope that helps

I would say it balances my skintone and slightly minimizes the large pores on my nose. Not flawless but definitely closer to it and I was very pleased with the results. Nice smooth matte finish and not shiny like some other brands which emphasize the pores instead. I would definitely purchase again.

The smoothing primer is great! It only takes a litte bit to cover your face & it helps the powder go on smooth. I haven' had a problem with it going over large pores or making blackheads stand out.

Along with the primer, this does a WONDERFUL job concealing pores...I wouldnt say FLAWLESS, but more than noticable. I haven't found a FLAWLESS coverage yet, but when I do, you can bet I will be shouting it from the rooftops!

I also have large pores, which is also a reason it did not work well for me. But I did love the Smoothing Primer (which I have tried with another makeup and it worked so well - that I re-ordered) Liked the brushes, just did not get good results with the concealer and compact foundation. It may work very well for someone with not so oily skin.

It does cover my pores, I only have enlarged pores near my nose area and they are medium in size, but it does concel them pretty well id say and I have hyperpigmentation on my jawline and it blend and covers that very well, But you have to be careful becauses the shades are way darker than they appear so id you are medium by light dark by medium. They all have a bronzy type cast, but with a foundation brush/or o sponge it blends very very well. Its a great product

I dont think the buildable cover kit would be good only because of the powder concealer. But the Mineral compact foundation would be good for you. Just apply it with a foundaition brush and buff it out with a Kabookie brush. Plus I recomend the Evian spray.its a good refresher product to apply after being in my foundation for a few hours. It really helps my makeup from settling into some of my lines. =0) Another product I think you might want to try is Makeup forever HD foundation. If you have a Sephora near you they can give you a one week supply sample to try. I find most of the gals in store are pretty helpful.

I thought that as well, being over 50, but I was pleasantly surprised. It works, there is a primer which helps not to look caked on! Hope this helps

Probably not, although it just depends on the texture & condition of your skin. As long as it is relatively smooth a very light coating of powder may work fine for you. I do know that the most unattractive thing on "mature" women is cakey powder face. Powder just settles in the lines & looks really gross, not to mention amatuer- which by your 60's you're hardly an amatuer!! I'd try it & see what happens- if you don't like it try something else

I truly believe that with a few drops of a primer, your face will take on mineral makeup very well as it is so buildable. I go with hardly any at all during work hours. Yet on the weekends I will build it for a little more coverage - Sephora has a great line of products (I'm referring to the Sephora line of cosmetics). And if you don't like the results, how great is it that you can still return the items? That's pretty fabulous!

I'm 54 and I love this makeup. I always use the primer and haven't noticed any caking, etc., that people our age usually worry about.

I didn't even think to look on the bottom but I don't think it does either that would be a great addition because the sponge I keep seperatly in my eyelash curler case that I also bought from Sephora.

If you buy the compact by itself it has a mirror, but if you bought the kit, the compact doesn't have a mirror. I didn't notice until I got home and opened the box, hated that!

My skin is pale with olive undertones. (My father is Irish and my mother is Italian). This works well on my skin, so if you're darker than a light tan I suggest going with a darker shade.

I'm Italian and I was advised by the salesgirl to go with the medium, the concealer is a little lighter, but the foundation evens it out. The best thing to do is go to the store and either try it out (samples everywhere you know) or have a salesperson help you.

I am a Filipina and my skin is not light and not dark. I pick the medium and it works perfect for me.

get a natural tinted spf moisterizer. stila. tarte.etc. and use smashbox halo to set. if u wish to light cover them. this won't do anything to cover them. get oil absorber, mattifyer, setter.

I have res splochy skin on my face. This foundation covers it really well.. THe web page says it covers tattoos, so I think it would be perfect for u!

It won't cover freckles nor acne scars. It's a sheer coverage to even out skin tone.

I highly recommend Make Up Forever concealer under your eyes and around your nose and High Def. foundation for the rest of your face for this "freckle situation". (I am in the same fair skinned, freckle scene.) Then use their High Def. powder---it is pure white but does not look like that when applied. This will give you that old school, glamour look---very polished. I do not recommend covering your body freckles with any product. Freckles on your arms and shoulders are a sign of true beauty! Look at Julianne Moore.

I think this is perfect for acne prone skin. Mineral makeup is better for acne because it does not have all of the harsh ingredients like other foundations.

I have acne proned skin and it doesn't make me breakout out. It doesn't have anything like salycic acid nor benzoyl peroxide in it to help fight acne, but for me personally, it doesn't make my skin worse. I still breakout naturally from hormones, food, etc.
