We use this brush on my daughter's extremely long hair - probably 20 inches long now. She's young (4) and does not like discomfort, so she lets us know when there is too much pulling during the course of brushing out tangles. Asides from my Mason Pearson, this brush has done the best job.

I have long hair (down to about the middle of my back) but got this anyway. Since using it, my hair's become so much more manageable, but the ends are still a little frizzy. Everything above is perfect. Guess it's engineered to work up to a certain length? Still, with a little bit of product, I don't think it'd be a problem.

I bought this brush for my daughter who has just below the shoulder length hair and it works great! I don't see why a person with medium long (to shoulder blades) hair couldn't use this brush. It can handle the length just fine. Now....if you've got "Rapunzel" length locks, you may need a brush with stronger, heavier bristles. Good Luck!

I would like a boar bristle brush and these claim to cancel static (which plagues me in winter) but I always air-dry my hair. Would this brush be good for me also, or just for blow-drying?

It is 2 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" long at the head, and the handle is 5" long. It is not like a paddle, it is like a normal brush.

Dont know exact measurements but Id say not as big as the Paddle brush, its rounded, maybe 9 to 10 inches and the brush area about 4 of that and at widest part 3 inches but thats a guesstimate..But its not as big as the paddle brush if the same brand, most paddle brushes are big unless you buy them in a travel size or in shop

I have both this brush and a boar/nylon Mason Pearson. I love, love, love the Mason Pearson, but I honestly don't know that I would ever pay that much money for a brush. On the other hand, I received it as a gift @10 years ago and it looks and works as well today as it did 10 years ago. Maybe it really is worth the $120?

This Sephora brush works well, is nicely weighted for brushing my daughter's LONG hair and it doesn't pull too much during de-tangling. She complains readily if there is too much tugging during brushing, so I have to believe that it is VERY gentle. :)

In short - TOTALLY worth the money I spent on it. (Which comes to less than the $ I spent on the previous 5 brushes I tried on my daughter.)

I have used both this brush and a Mason Pearson. I would say the results are the same, but the difference probably lies in how long the brushes will last. I think the sephora brush is a great value and it has tourmaline. It makes my hair really soft and shiny but in the end its up to you...I think it would be special to have a MP brush I just don't have the money right now and this brush is a great substitue.

I've tried using this brush blowdrying and its not my favorite for that. I use a styling brush with lots of holes that help dry the hair faster. When my hair is dried I then use my boar brush and can't say enough good things about it and I have natural wavy hair and love this brush.

the instructions that came with the brush says: Sephora hairbrushes are washable. To clean, wash with a little water. Do not leave to soak. I put mine in a drawer in the bathroom. I love this brush.

I just use my Ojon shampoo and another teasing brush to work into a lather, then rinse. To dry faster, I give one last rinse in really hot water.
