Mine lasted about 4 days or so. It depends on which body part. My legs lasted quite some time becuase I'm not constantly washing it with a cleanser with many chemicals like face washes have.

it depends. if you're religious about moisturizing - the color will fade less quickly. And - also depends on how deep you like your color - prob. about 4-5 days?

Fold the towel into a square and use 1/4 on upper left body, upper right, lower left, and then lower right. I have found by folding and using different sections at a time and then using the whole towel to go back over I can get then entire body done with one towel.

yes, it does. but i am considering using 1 separately for my legs - the towelette feels somewhat dry but the time I get to my legs (I apply in the following order: arms/shoulders, chest, neck, back of shoulders and then legs. I don't bother with the torso area.

You can try! But I wouldn't suggest that. I would say that you need at least 2 to cover your whole body! One for your bottom half and another one for the top half of your body!

I would say yes to anyone a size 8 and under. I'm between a size 8-10 so I barely get away with 1 towelette. This is just my experience.

One towel worked for my whole body but make sure you start the towel where you want the most color as the formula is more concentrated. I prepped my body by putting a light coat of regular lotion on the tops of my feet and toes, hands, knees and elbows. I started with the towel on my legs, moving upward so that by the time I got to my feet, hands, and face the towel felt slightly dry but I still saw color in all areas.

I'm a mid size gal and I tend to run abit short near the end. Use on visible spots first. I have heard on the shopping networks that many of the hostesses use two at a time and they are usually pretty tiny. So two would be optimum if you want full body coverage.

hi, i think that most people can do their whole body with just 1 towelette. they are pretty big. but, you have to work fast, because they began to get alittle dry as i was finishing up.

Just one towelette to get a glow, two towelettes to get a deeper color or correct spots you missed during your first application. I would use two but on two seperate days, not one right after another.

I cover what I can on my shoulders and back with the towel and then use another self tanner spray on my back. If no one to do for you I don't think you can cover all the back with the towel.

I just wrapped my one arm over my shoulder and tucked my other behind my back, grabbed towelette by the ends and shimmed and rolled it across that hard to reach area. No streaks, all is good!

These towelettes aren't super dark, so I managed to do my back the best I could (with some weird bending and reaching, I admit) and I did not end up splotchy at all.

The drugstore has a kind of sponge on a stick (similar to a back scratcher) meant for this purpose; it costs about $3, and is well worth it. After going over my body once in all the places I can reach, I just wrap the towlette around the sponge end and slide it up and down my back.

Actually the towlette is a nice big size so what i did was (and this may be hard to explain without a picture!) grab the towlette with one hand on opposite corners. I am a righty, so i reach my right arm up over my right shoulder and drape the towlette over my back then with my left hand i reach around my left side and grab the bottom corner. You can then pull the towlette to your back and swipe back and forth. I got my ENTIRE back EVENLY doing that- I promise it works!!

Honestly, there is no other way. I've used self tanner for years and it's always been the more difficult thing to do. Good luck.

From my experience, it will rub off on clothing ONLY IF I try to get dressed right away after applying it. Once I "feel" dry (the same feeling after I put on moisturizer, when it's been absorbed in my skin), it neither rubs off, nor does it leave marks/streaks on me. I probably wouldn't go to bed right after applying it, though.

I just used this before work today, and without thinking wore a white dress. NOTHING rubbed off! I would suggest giving it like 60 seconds to dry before getting dressed though. It also doesn't make your clothes stink!

No- It did not rub off on my clothing. I work at a Sephora and bought them because clients who have used them return again and again and raved about them. No color to them- just a clear liquid when you apply.

It takes about five minutes to fully dry, and even feels a little sticky after that, but I have not had problems with staining sheets or clothes

There is one towelette per package. However, I use mines twice. Maybe because I'm petite. However, there's a lot of product on one towelette.

One towelette is good for one full body application. And there are 6 in the box so its not very economical. However, a couple of times I used the folded towelette on my face quickly and stuck it in a ziplock. i just wanted a touch-up on my face and that worked well because then i used the entire towelette a couple days later.

There are 8 towlettes in each package; enough for 2 months if you use them once a week, and 1month if you use them twice a week like I do. The towlettes are quite large when you unfold them -- and they really do have enough of the tanning solution on them to do your entire body and face. You get a great result when you glide them over your skin, kind of like you are buffing your body. I go over everything once, then again using a smooth circular buffing motion. Great result, no blotches!

The towelette is a little larger than a commercial tri-fold paper towel. It's large enough for your whole body and you can use front and back of it.

They're fairly generous - the largest I've seen of the towlettes. Sephora is selling them in single packets up by the register -- try it out!

They are about the size of a paper towel. I ripped mine in half and used half for upper body and half for lower body. In fact, you could probably get away with using just a half for arms and legs.

How to store towelette?
I would like to know that once you use the towelette, how do you store it so you can use it at a later time? It says that you can use the same towelette after you use it once. If so, how do you keep it from drying out? Also, can you cut them in half and store the other half for later? I would appreciate any help on this question before I spend the money on them. Thank you to all who answers this for me!

I feel like if you use this on your entire body that there wouldn't actually be enough to use it on your entire body again. I just threw mine away after. If you're curious about this one, they do sell it as a single packet for $6 in the checkout line. That's what I did to test it out. That might be your best bet before investing in the whole box of them. :)

I cut them in half before using, and then fold the foil package tightly, and put it into a tight zip-lock bag.

Honestly I don't use them more than once. I'm a small girl- 5'0", size 5 and it takes a full towlette to cover my entire body evenly, so I wouldn't suggest reusing. But it looks amazing- just a few hours later you're noticeably tanner and it lasts a few days so the value of the product is still fantastic.

Just don't throw away the packaging! Simply just take the towelette and place it back in the packaging and either tape it or but it in foil!

I'd fold it up, stick it back in original packaging & seal w/ a paper clip. Store in fridge so it doesn't dry out so quickly.

I haven't tried that because one towelette does my whole body and is pretty much used up. But I would suggest putting the unused portion in a a tightly folded up piece aluminum foil.

I stored mine in a ziploc bag after using it once, and it worked just as well the 2nd time around! I'm sure you could cut it in half as well, I don't see why not! :)

Try a single $6 towelette first so you can see if you need a full one or get away with 1/2. I did use it just on my face without opening it up, then I returned it to the foil package and taped it tightly shut. Worked great the next time I used it!

hi, for me- these towelettes dried out by the time i was done, but if you are faster than i am, can save them to even out any small misses or streaks that you see the next day. i read a review awhile ago (which i will always appreciate) that said she saved the towelette in a zip lock bag (make sure all the air is out of the bag). it works!!! i also read reviews that some women do cut them in 1/2 & save the other 1/2. the great thing about sephora is that if these don't work for you, you can just return them for a refund. sephora is great. i have tried 1 other towelette that i did like (dr. denese) they are really wet & stay wet in a plastic bag. they are bigger, thicker & cheaper. and you get more of them. but, like most tanners they have a bronzer in them, that's why i'm now trying kate somerville. i'd rather just the tan without the bronzer in it. i love the color i get with these. i hope this helps. good luck.

i have not seen a single breakout and my skin seems to be very sensitive to selftanners because they settle in my pores and tend to make me breakout a couple days later. This (i feel) makes my skin better, my pores tighter, etc. I really do love this product but 6 uses for $50 kind of sucks.

I have breakout issues and oily skin, and these did not give me any problems. I applied them to my face 3 times in 2 days, and did not have more than the usual breakouts. It will darken any acne scars or sunspots though.

I've had other self tanners in the past get really dull and come off unevenly after showering. Just wondering if the color fades or fades unevenly in certain places more then others after showering?

yes, it's only designed to last for a few days. it's meant to be used when you need some quick color. you can prolong the tan by using the towlettes 2-3 times over a week, but any more than that and you will look like snooki.

It fades evenly. I use 1 towelette per week but am considering using it twice a week (or 1 for the arms, neck and chest area and another for the legs so that the color is even deeper).

Just wash your body like you normally do with soap and scrub wherever you put the tanner. It should come off! If you still have a few streaks or haven't washed it off too well in some areas, try rubbing some hand sanitizer on and it will come right off! (Don't let the hand sanitizer dry though! Wipe it off while its still wet/ liquid like.)

For me, It took 2-3 showers & exfoliating to start to fade slightly, and when it did fade it faded evenly off my whole body - I didn't have to do anything extra to it. VERY low-maintenance and easy - and I'm self tanning challenged.

the color fades pretty quickly, it only lasted a few days for me, but it seemed to fade evenly - I know what you mean about tanners that fade in spots and look blotchy, but I didn't notice that with this one

I use the towelettes after i shower and shave my legs. that way i am all exfoliated.

The color develops in 4 hours, but what's great is you can really leave it on without showering. These don't smell nearly as bad as the other self-tanners you're used to. I have used them in the morning and gone to work!

Do it right after you shower, on clean skin. Try waiting several hours [5-6] before showering just so the product has plenty of time to work.

Hi I read your question and my opinion would be to shower and exfoliate prior to application, apply wait couple minute dress, and your done. shower next day that night or whenever. there is no real odor if you smell anything at all it is nothing but fresh scent that is gone as soon as you apply. I hope this helps. I just to be safe because they are not cheap shower as long as you can put it off there would be no need to do so after applying. I think 2 hours will be plenty of time to wait before showering, though I recommend using this product after showering not before. Either way, make sure that no matter what, not to get any part of your body (other than your hands that you wash) wet for at least 20 minutes after application, trust!
